Every large EU (or european) country has almost the same military budget as Russia. Italy (30-40bln), Spain (30-40bln), Germany (30-40bln), France (~50bln), UK (~50bln) in dollars. It is ~$200bln just for these 5 countries. Russia spends ~40-50bln (in this and last year, ~30bln in 2007th). + other EU (which are also in NATO) spends about aa halph of this sum (~100bln). EU is not so defenseless, as someones wish us to believe.
