I always love the Sesame Street "soap operas"! They were always so hilarious!! Does anyone remember the three-part story of "The Boy, The Girl, and The Jelly Beans"?
@spy4863 I remember that! I was about 6, and I wondered why they didn't call it "The Boy, The Girl, The Jelly Beans, and The Monster". What Muppet character was the Monster?
1969 was a very creative year for Sesame Street! Soap operas like Hunt For Happiness are really cool! It is sad when the Happy family is so miserable. I do like the grandma because she gives a voice for reason and solution. Very cool and creative clip! Thank you for posting this!
There were plenty of segments people wanted to be on the DVD, but what they gave us was still cool. I wasn't around that early, so seeing that stuff was a treat for me.

I love it when Frank Oz does his "Miss Piggy" voice :)
And of course, the genius of Jimmy makes any clip enjoyable <3

I always figured that the title was a spoof of "Search for Tomorrow". The announcer of "Search" used to say "This is Search.......for Tomorrow".

This skit proves the versatility of the brilliance of Sesame Street. First time I saw this, I couldn't stop laughing.

Helen Happy: "Oh...Oh, Harold! I am SO unhappy?"
Me: "Why be unhappy? You could knock spots off the Miss Piggy Impersonation Contest contestants!"
LOL!

If some burglar set fire to my ping-pong ball factory, I'd give him a good paddling.

Richard Hunt?
I'm sure he would have wanted happiness!

What's hard to understand about that?

Nice choice! Congrats by the way. The main characters were just Frank and Jim. Unless the announcer is Carrol.
jonnytbirdzback 3 years ago
Well, I assume Carrol is one of the performers, judging by the poor job he does.

What do you mean by that?

Why don't they put good classic stuff like this on the Old School DVD's - the ding-a-lings?"

"Why don't you wipe the mud OFF your sneaker ya ding-a-ling?"
Way to go on your milestone MG!
BTW, did you know "soap" is ALSO a four-lettered word? ;P

Does mean it's not real, or that Steve hasn't seen it?
MarshalGrover 3 years ago
Lol, actually that time I was making another un-necessary M*A*S*H reference. -_-
But Steve's all too familiar with it, after all, he DID have it in his mouth that time he tried to call me you-know-what.

Thank you. When I first started, I never thought I'd make it, what with lack of capturing technology.
