  • Sooo laaaaggggyyyyyy

  • From September through April you can pet my ragdoll Pixel and you will not end up with any hair on your hand. Can't say the same in the warm season when he is losing his winter coat. He loves a regular brushing and sheds a heck of a lot less than the ordinary short haired cat that puts out a cloud of hair year round when petted. If pet hair freaks you out, you should not own a pet. Period.

  • HARTZ is the devil. I bought some fleas solution from a vet and it gave my ragdoll cat a toxic shock.

  • @anushca100

    Hartz is in 0:38!!

  • None of my outfits are complete without ragdoll hair :)

  • i heard ragdoll cats shed less than other cats. how much do they really shed? like when they rub against your leg is there a layer of hair stuck to your pants like a tabby cat? cause i really want a cat but we used to have a tabby cat and my dad went crazy with the hair.

  • what should i do if my ragdoll has a knot in its hair

  • The breeder that I am purchasing my purebred ragdoll says that she never bathes her cats and they are clean as a whistle...she also told me that they are low shed but the comments I am reading say that they are shedding a lot....hmmm..I'm confused..any advice? I don't get ours for another 2 weeks. Thx!

  • @melindac4k so melinda did you end up getting your ragdoll? does it shed a lot? i'm thinking of getting one thanks

  • @freddyphredphred hello, yes we did get a ragdoll,we purchased him last December and so we have had him for 1 year and we LOVE him. When he was a kitten he never shed any hair (which I was told was the way it is for almost all cats)...but about 5-6 months into life he REALLY started to shed...like crazy. It has driven me crazy...but we love him so we keep A LOT of lint rollers in the house and car. I also vaccum a lot as well to keep the hair down. Good luck..let me know if I can help in any way.

  • I have two Ragdoll cats and the hair is out of control. We have discovered the Furrinator brush and it's AWESOME! It's a little expensive but it replaces all the other brushes we use. It actually looks as though you are shaving the cats when you brush them. It takes a while to brush but you end up with a huge pile of fur when you're done, and it keeps the shedding to a minimum for the following week or so.

  • sCaRy..

  • OMG its the crazeh cat lady!

  • @Nolaxrs Oh, c'mon... Everybody that truly loves cats is a crazy cat person. We are way more than you think. :P

    Meow.

  • I use the wire brush as weekly maintenance to prevent any knots or matting in the fur. About once a month I use a tool called the Furminator to take care of any loose fur. It helps significantly, you won't believe how much loose hair this thing removes and it's not pain at all for the cat if you use it properly. You can buy knockoffs at Target for about 1/3 the price they work just as well.

  • This video the light is perfect.

  • my cat HATES the vacuum cleaner, and he hates the shower...he never goes outside, but ones in a while i give him a shower with baby shampoo, i've got a syberian cat, just as much fur as a ragdoll and as big too!! (and as sweet!! at least mine is!)

  • As expensive as ragdolls are.. If you own one.,... perhaps you can take them to a groomer once a week?

  • Mmm... You don't necessarily have to be that rich :) I'm a student and I'm saving up to get a ragdoll. You give the money for once and you live with it for 15 years. The damage stray cats can do to your house costs more than the 650-700 euro you will give for a lazy ragdoll :P

  • Well damage of unprepared cat owner is 650-700, people who don't do their homework or prepare for a kitten can get damage besides just because its a Ragdoll does not mean it will be lazy some cats don't go by the breeding standards even well breed one. The only thing I remember my stray liked scratching the bottom parts of the furniture but a scratch post or cat tree and little effort is cheap compare to pure breed cat. Not downing Pure breed cats they are awesome but so are the moggies.

  • @sanbilge I got a Ragdoll/Ragamuffin for practically no money at the local pound. Just a thought.

  • Once a week...we have a dog and no matter how much the intial cost of animal is its so much higher for the care. Our dog maybe be a toy poodle mix that we got for a hundred and we do love her but taking her to the groomers is once every 3 months, instead of once a month, we brush her to keep her mat free since she is worth it. Groomer cost like 30 bucks or up plus cats cost more to groom since they are escape artists. Average cost of cat bills with basics is 500 a year pure breed or stay.

  • thanks vitalfinds

  • I have heard that hartz is not a good company. Their products are terrible for animals.

my vet told me, so I will never buy it again!

  • I'd get the shop-vac Out and suck up the hair off the cat before it gets all over the floor...That's what I do with my one dog lol
