this is exactly what i was looking for! playing in a worship band that told me i need to have this solo ready by next week, hopefully i can get it up to speed, but it was very helpful to me that you started it slowly so i could get the hang of it, and then played it faster. thanks!
You'll probably find this even more helpful. I should redo this video because I was really just trying to figure out how to play bass when I made this - but now there are already some really good videos floating out that show how it's done.
@phazlett ok thanks! i don't have my bass right now so i'm practicing this on my guitar...my guitar is definitely not in tune with your bass in this video, it sounds terrible haha but i'm too lazy to go find my tuner :P thanks again for the help!!
very good, although a few spots are off. just remember the first note in each "section" gets 4, in the third section you only gave it 2 every time. and then a little more staccato and you will have it!
@phazlett nono ur wrong bro listen to "Tenni's Bass Blog Salvation is Here" again ur breaking the solo trust me ur notes and octives are right but ur missing a few notes
Thanks! Also worth noting is that after playing the upper octave two times, Tenni plays the riff twice on the lower octave before falling back to the regular chord progression.
tabs please :D

men, which brand is your bass?
leoofGod 2 years ago
It's a Godin Freeway 4.
I recently replaced the passive electonics and stock pickups with an 18V Bartolini NTMB 3.4 preamp and EMG-HZ passive pickups.
I really like Godin bass guitars. They play well and the neck fits my hand size.

If it's wrong then the official United bass tab is wrong because that's what I'm playing.
You can watch Tenni (the bassist for United) play it by searching YouTube for "Tenni's Bass Blog Salvation is Here"
He's playing an octave lower and that happens during the second half of the bridge.

Thanks so much, my brother knows how to play this part now on bass.
if you can try to put on the rest of the song breaking it down just like you did. that would be really helpful. thanks.
