I like how this guy completely forgets the Rock from August to Wrestlemania who in 2001 was the biggest guy in the business hence the Austin heel turn. The pulse of the fans at that time wanted the Rock. Also Vince is just sitting on everyone he purchased this whole time. You angle is a good idea but better served after an Invasion.

Awesome booking. My only issue is how you booked Austin.

1. Austin is the WWE's number 1 draw, and should not have been gone for that long.

2. Unless Austin dropped his gimmick, he wouldn't care if Benoit and Malenko turned on him, instead he'd start swinging at them as well.

Oh, about the Trojan Horse possibly being Sting, I just want to add: I know he was never in ECW...BUT, he was always a WCW loyalist and would have reason to resent Vince killing the company. So if Heyman went to him with this plan to take Vince down, I can see him saying yes to it.

Finally got done watching the whole thing, and I like that idea for the ending. Because if that were to happen, then Smackdown and Raw competing against each other would actually make SENSE. Right now, it doesn't make much sense.

As for the Trojan Horse, it'd have to be a big name guy with ties to ECW who'd be more loyal to Heyman than to Vince, and who got drafted to Raw in order to sabotage it from within. So maybe RVD, maybe Foley, maybe Austin, maybe Sting...who knows?

i think its well booked to a certain degree from a die hards point of view, but the audience at the time who never watched wcw at all and got into wrestling in 2000 or even 2001 wouldn't have got the tension between bischoff/austin, the horsemen or even the clique.

Plus the mid card gets a poor treatment during your version, how the hardys, edge and christian, kurt angle etc. who were mad over during the time would have figured isn't clear.

If there was any angle I hated, it was the Invasion angle. I've found that a lot of people nowadays seem to be ok with it, but I wonder if that's the younger crowd that didn't live through the Monday Night Wars. If you didn't live through that era, I guess the angle isn't that bad. If you did, you know that this didn't live up to a true WWF/WCW/ECW faction war most of us would have envisioned

@NYG4LIFE123 I lived through the Monday Night Wars and it pissed me off to no end seeing Taker utterly destroy and humiliate DDP when they finally stepped in the ring together. Page had been one of my favourite wrestlers in WCW and he deserved better than that. Same thing with Booker T to a lesser extent, how they turned him into a joke and then stuck him in the midcard after the Invasion was done.

Think about it! This meeting between Bischoff and Heyman takes place after WM18 in Spring/early Summer 2002 which was right around the time Jarrett launced TNA's weekly Pay Per View show. The timing is just too perfect!

1) You're having the NWO type faction vs the Horsemen type faction at Wrestlemania to decide a war between WWF and WCW

2)The Elimination Chamber in some ways was the WWF's answer to war games. I don't think they'd allow a former rival's premiere gimmick match headline their biggest show.

3)As you pointed out, the traditional ring mapping would have to be altered, a risk the WWF never took in the past.

the bit where Austin is being hauled off and his reaction changes when he sees Bischoff seems weird to explain in that one segment. Bischoff can be one of Austin's reasons for wanting to come back and save the day however. But that detail would have to be explained later down the road

This was really good. I really liked how you brought all the good things about WCW and showcased them in the WWE. I just don't think this would have worked because Vince would have never put WCW stars and Paul Heyman in such a light that puts them as formidable opponents to the WWE stars. But I think that's the main reason this angle never was over as much as it should have been. If the WCW guys were seen in the light you put them in, it would have been much better.

Sting has always been weary of WWE, and if you listen to interviews with Goldberg, he hated every day in the WWE. Flair and Vince have always gotten along really well, for whatever reason, but it's very rare to see people who were top stars in other companies be seen on the same level as main-stay WWE guys. Y2J and the Dudleys come to mind.
