  • 1989!!!!! I feel so old!

  • Wonderful!!!! XD this game is immortal!

  • Great game. I have many fond memories of this one. I still remember how good it felt throwing a punch at Hitler, despite leading to Indy's death :P

  • this looks a lot more interesting than the action game

  • buah!

Incredible, really good game. Old times were games were absolutely awesome.

  • Funny the game hits the V instead of X, blunder?

  • Hehe.. as kids we recorded the PC-Sound on cassette to get the soundtrack ;) Crazy times without internet :-)

  • This game is old but it has great game-play! *5*

  • Hahaha man I remember playing this game on the old 51/4 floppy disks, back when floppy disks were actually floppy.

  • God's name in latin begins with an I. thats the whole joke in the movie, but here we see indy stepping on a J and not falling through the roof! (2.43) did anyone else notice that?

  • OMG I REMEMBER THIS GAME. I played it sooo much. Someone told me you could get a gun the castle level. Was this true?

  • better times, better games...

  • no, you dont lived these days of great games...

  • 0.53; 2.04 - Henry Jones Sr. Theme

    1.37 - Escape from Venice

Nice game game. I would like to play it again.

  • 2:12 - so a random stranger is walking in front of this Nazi's face on the other side of the window... and he just stands there. If all the Nazis were this bright, Last Crusade would've been a much shorter movie... and Raiders, for that matter.

Also wasn't there a VGA version of this one? Maybe my mind is failing me, but I swore there was one.

  • this is the one.... cga was quite worse.... almost everything bright blue and pink

  • This is EGA, actually. From what I recall, VGA is 256-colors, EGA is 16, and CGA is 4 (and it'd either be cyan/magenta/white/black, or green/yellow/red/black).

  • Nice explanation. Thanks.

  • There are CGA extensions which have 16 simultaneous colors as well.

  • FUCKING AWESOME GAME !! <3 <3

  • in 1991 i still hadn't sound card i wonder to hear this with the speaker sound... :) F.A. game anyway!

  • what shall I write when am using dosbox with Indy 3??

  • This was a triumph.

  • very good...i played the original game on my old 386...great times :)

  • SCUMM works really well but I just don't understand why you can't play games in a full window.

  • Of course you can, you just have to enable it in general settings or game settings

  • How did you emulate this??? which emulator did you use??

  • Well, if you'd have tried a look at the description or my profile, you'd already know the answer :)

  • will the dosbox Work for the Sam and Max Hit the road game?

  • I had problems with the sound in the Dosbox, so I use SCUMMVM. That works great.

  • okay i got SCUMMVM. do you know where i can download hit the road starring sam and max freelance police?

  • There is a good filter on youtube for urls, try it on vetusware, or try on google..

If you play you have to enter a save path under options/paths/Save path in the scummvm. Else you would not be able to save a game. Not very difficult. I think it is no problem.

  • I tried to download it at vetusware but my computer won't let me download it from there. is there a website besides that where i can get this game??

  • I don't know, but I don't think that it is freeware.. Try with google.

  • @gagbonkers you can get this game fully emulated on steam now for about 3 bucks

  • I have the fate of atlantis game and when I look at this I see that some of the things in the game such as the actions and the fight sequences are very similar is just that this one uses EGA graphics and Fate of the Atlantis uses VGA but they are both awesome games just involve alot of thinking.

  • I was always hoping, if they gonna do a new Indiana Jones movie, that they would be basing the upcoming Indy movie on the game: "The Fate of Atlantis" using the same title too of course. Well, this is not the case now unfortunately.

Anyway, I greatly enjoyed playing both Adventure games!

    Indy rocks!!! xD

  • I wonder whats the progress for the new Indiana Jones movie because I heard that there was supposed to be one.

  • The movie is well in production and set to be released Summer 2008. It carries the title: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."...you can find lots of pics and behind the scenes footages online. :)

  • thank you so much!

  • These were the best games. Imagination, storyline and content defined them. Not movie-quality (high pixel) cutscenes or orchestral scores. EGA+MIDI+KEYBOARD ruled the day and was enough. You had to have an imagination to make the game fun. Now they turn your mind off with oppressive media content, vapid storylines and leave nothing to the imagination. I still play the best games, these ones.
