Is it because you first saw it when you were too young to realize how idiotic it was, and now the characters bring back nostalgic memories or something? Memories of what though, sitting in front of the tube?

I have no idea what show this even is, I came across it randomly. But compare it to TV fare like "Six Feet Under", "Firefly", even "The Simpsons." It's like they were made by different species.

I've seen this scenario in real life, and it does happen - esp. in cosmopolitan places like NYC or Boston where one finds a greater proportion of rich, powerful, and cool dudes who sport trophy girls.

Even if I saw this in real life, I wouldn't make fun. If people today are OK with gay marriage or interracial love, then what's the difference here? If two people get along, then it's no one's business...
