  • America's got talent right there!

  • This gives a new meaning to "In Cadence"

  • Brill well done boys

  • Sheer perfection in action.

  • I thought Darth Vader was breathing into the camera. Must have been damned cold. Great video though.

  • sounds very soothing...

  • Nice video, but next time, make the guy with the sniffles stand further from the camera.

  • excelenteeeeeee los wnsss cuatikoss viva la razaaa

  • @MrPlatinum11 - LOL, I know right ! ahaha

  • All I can say is:

    *clap* *clap* *clap*

  • Not bad..... put your feet together and look near a real HG.... Looked very sharp though....

  • @techknology get on their level

  • @techknology there are many differences that I have noticed between AFHG and the Academy HG. That doesnt make the academy HG any less of an Honor Guard

  • Really COOL will join USAFA if all goes well.

  • 3:40 to 4:00 was awesome!

  • homeboi sound like he dying

  • @ 8:31 nice P.T. Jacket!

  • @chester14lespaulFAN notice him walk in front of the camera too :L That wasn't cool.

  • this is S**T HOT! Its very snap!

  • this vid would be awesome if it was a) in HD, b) get rid of the mouth breather camera man. i want to reach thru the monitor and give him vicks. lol

  • Very Nice! Can't wait to get into the Academy!

  • This is a total Drillgasm.

    Wow.

  • Who posted this? Brings back memories of some cold days and fun times Junior year..

  • i wanna goint this school im already in AFJROTC and at my school is shitty and wanna do better

  • I love how a flight just comes PTing behind them at a random moment. :D

  • This is sexy.

Props to the freezing cold guy filming this.

  • Well nice comment IronWinged... ;)

I wish the Basic Airman Cadets in my Unit could be in step like these fine men are.

Props to the Cadets in the United States Air Force Academy Honor Guard!

  • Well the only difference is a CAP squadron gets 1-2 hours of practice a week, and these guys get hours upon hours of practice everyday.... and they're just damn good.

  • Agreed much! I cannot wait to get accepted into the Academy!

  • I'll see you there.

  • CAP also gives incapable 12 year old (as well as older people) undeserved authority and rank, because such a large focus is on passing a multiple choic test, not actual work performance. Don't hate me, I'm in CAP and like it, it's just not as good as JROTC for meeting it's goals generally.

  • @Sasuake1000 Well actually aas a member you should now that you take practical's (drill) and also, once you move into the higher ranks, you take written exams and essays. I beleive CAP is very well capapble of training future cadets of the airforce and airforce academy. My apologies if I am not adressing you by the correct title as I do not know your rank.

  • I buy that it CAN, and may where you are, but (Only AB in CAP, because I see accomplishing MUCH less the AFJROTC for me, though there I am a Captain) where I am, I know that it is based off whether the instructor and squad com like you and you pass a test(I realize that higher up more is requred, but it's a similar evaluation style), them liking you helps with CHEATING on the test (they'll give you answers, I am the only person to pass the first test that they liked without cheating) and

  • @chester14lespaulFAN the board is entirely if they like you or not. And they don't always happen to like good cadets, sometimes, they like BAD cadets, or dislike good cadets. Again, I am certain It is capable of being a great organization, and it may very well be in your area, but my squadron, unfortunately, needs a LOT more guidance, and I haven't the patience with my instructor to try to fix it.

  • @Sasuake1000 well im not sure about your wing but WA wing is amazing. Is is very structured and we would never cheat.

  • wow; so im on adt at my highschool &we have a meet cominn up. if we could do this, it'll be amazinn! we spinn &stuff fbut dont have this snap &pop. this is just GREAT!

  • yes the sniffling and breathing was a little distracting, lol

  • omg that was amazing

  • damn i bet it would be embarising if soneone would to drop one of the guns

  • amazing video! although the breathing and sniffling wasn't too great :(

  • achieve rank faster than the ROTC grad, that is just the nature of things.

  • For all of you who are saying "USAFA>ROTC" or "ROTC>USAFA" I have to say something. The academy is a great thing, no one will deny that, but do not discount ROTC. ROTC will put out great officers just like the academy, and it will put out bad ones just like the academy. It depends a lot on the person, rather than the institution. It is true, however, that if two officers are of equal character and ability, one from USAFA and one from ROTC, the USAFA officer will have more oppotunity and will

  • @whoareyou119 Institution allows certain people though. My GF is at an SMC, and she told me normal college ROTC is a joke, and that even an SMC has people and training largely under what the standard SHOULD be and under the acadmy's. If an ROTC cadet at an SMC says so, then it must be the unbiased truth that the academy, atleast, TENDS to put out better officers. I'm not saying it's a perfect law or rule, it's a better average.

  • that heavy breathing killed the video

  • i can't see who would be tempted by iraq or afghanistan.

  • Can some one help me find a military school im 13 now i want to be in the airforce. Thanks. Btw i like in australia so please find me a school that is in australia or accept people from different countries.( Exchange)

  • the us air force academy has a prep school for you to go to for high school. they accept exchange also.

  • so if u go to that the academy do u train to be an officer? or soldier

  • the air force academy is a four year college paid for by the air force. upon graduation, you are a second lieutenant in the air force with a 5 year commitment to serving in active duty. it is a very good education with emphasis on engineering, although you can major in other areas such as political science, economics, etc.

  • @dsnelgro1 thanks. so if im 14 right now can i join and live in australia?

  • No, you would not be able to live in Australia. You would be assigned to Air Force bases in the world during your five year commitment, and these bases are mostly in the US, Europe, the Pacific and southwest Asia.

  • I mean would they accept me cause im from australia and is willing to stay. ps im 14.

  • there are some foreign exchange students from a number of countries that attend the air force academy for the full 4 years and then go back to their original countries for duty. I don't know if australia is one of them. I suggest you talk to a RAAF recruiting office and find out more details.

  • @dsnelgro1 and SOME "humanities" or more abstract fields of study. A lot of people forget that such things are offered, so I though it would be good to note that here.

  • There's a comment down there that says USAFA will get you further up into your military career. That is so wrong. It is YOU who decides how far you want to go. If you truly want it you will make it far. In fact, most senior officers I've met come from ROTC (LT Gen, Maj Gen, Brig Gen, Col) and those who aren't from ROTC come from OTS. I've only met junior officers from the academy. That theory is bogus.

  • i like tis hoorah air force

  • that's amazing.

  • what do you think is better going into, AF ROTC, or AF academy?

  • I'm an AFROTC Grad from the University of Miami... ROTC is FAR less stressful than the Academy, and I'm man enough to admit it. ROTC provides a good blend of military education with the social experiences of a regular college life. The Academy is a much more regimented and strict lifestyle that will get you farther in your career if in fact the military is what you want.

  • @wheelzz023

This couldn't be farther from the truth. Your future is influenced by your efforts, not where you come from. Don't fall back on the whole AFROTC < AFA shit just because you didnt try hard enough to get what you want.

  • Well, you do make an excellent point in that effort is what is paramount in life, but don't dillute yourself into thinking an ROTC graduate would be appointed CSAF over an Academy graduate. It just won't happen, there is so much more that is taught (directly and indirectly) at the Academy that is absent from an ROTC education (unless you are on an ROTC scholarship at a military institution like VMI, Texas A & M, North Georgia College and State, Virginia Tech, etc).

  • AF Academy is not something yo go to. You can go to AFROTC but you cannot go to AF Academy. Being accepted into AF Academy is an honor. Going to AFA is like going to harvard for lawyers. Yes it is better to go to AFA

  • im assuming C/LT COLONEL is cadet LT COLONEL?

  • I was a C/Lt Colonel in CAP

  • Wow...just, wow. Wish my Air For Cadet (Australian) SQN could be half as good as this, even though our drill manual is completely different. The effort that must have went into this is massive, very good job.

  • He's out of breathe probably becasue he ran across that whole area. Its about a mile across its huge!

  • go into the civil air patrol before you do this it will help u a lot, i'm it it.

  • That was impressive

  • he's sick.

  • "Sir, my altitude is 7258ft. Far, far above that of West Point or Annaplois."

  • how old do yu have to be to join or get in da air force program ?

  • very impresive

  • That was pretty clean. Still needs a little polishing from a few cadets, but overall really well done. It looks like the routine is the same as it was back in 2003. Keep it up USAFA!!

  • hey im planning on going to usafa can you give me any tips before i go i would really apreciat it,

  • Get in really good physical shape. You will be at over 5,000 ft above sea level. If you are not used to that, it makes a huge difference. Make sure you can run with weight. You will be in full uniform in dry heat with heavy rifles. If you can handle the physical stuff mor easily, it will help you with the mental strain. Learn your military and cadet ranks ahead of time. Memorize the Code of Conduct, Air Force Song and National Anthem before you go. The more you know going in, the better.

  • Join Civil Air Patrol Before you join if you are between ages 13-18 It helps a lot with marching and if you join CAP you will be able to advance through ranks better casue you are more equiped. Also going to college before hand help tremendusly (cant spell) you not only get in as a officer you get more privileges in the AF. Hope I helped you ^-^

  • i am in civil air patrol, i really want to get my spattz becuz it will help me tremedously in getting in

  • uuufttt, i thought i had seen some good silent drill routines in my time but that was amazing!

  • god the U.S army kicks ass in China its like no Mr. Ping Pong dont point the gun at me

  • Pretty intense..

  • Notice that there are only 2 verbal commands given the whole time... Silent drill is very difficult especially when there are changes in tempo during the routine

  • niiiiiiiice. lol i wanted to do air force but im not eligible for n e branch cuz my knees :/

  • Good, but not #1

  • man..,the organization is astounding. I think when i go ill have my plate full enough without having to do that....

  • wow long drill. that must be hard to learn

  • i cant wait to do this when i go

  • DAMN! Their arms must have been tired!

  • Fucking NICE. Is this Cadets or actually in the air force?

  • They are cadets, when they graduate, they immediately become commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force by the President, who is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forced.

  • well duh hes commander in chief

  • That is brilliant

  • looking forward to doing this!!!

  • now this is what get my blood pumping !

  • This is a very sophisticated routine, very much snap and pop, bearing was nice, alot better than my teacher said they were (he's a gyrene), wish my grades were good enough to go there.

  • damn AFA is the sexiest team everr..

im on unarmed and this makes me soo happy about armed.

  • man my team at ca-026 moreno valley high school.

    was invited to afa..

but with funds we cant make it...:[[

  • OMG! B R I L L I A NT!

  • damn that was godlike!!

  • watch between 7:00 and 7:05 the guy on the far right messed up. but still an awsome performance.

  • so perfect..

  • one guy flinched!

  • Man that was Hot!! Good job! Hey I Couldnt Tell in This Video but is there ever any girls on honor guard? Just Wondering.

  • Yes, Honor Guard does have females. Position in the block is based on skill and sharpness, which is somewhat strength dependent. Any females in the block are very very good at what they do. Honor Guard performs a wide variety of different functions besides the performance block, so there are additional males as well as females on the team who are not in the block.

  • If you look in the back right corner there is Adri Eaton Drilling away.

  • Awesome show, much respect to you AFA cadets and all that you go through at the Academy. I'm in AFROTC Det 847 and I look forward to serving with you guys in the Air Force in a few years. AIR POWER

  • Good video...brought back memories. Some of the routines blue/silver, 4-corner, etc. have been with the HG for decades. I think what most viewers don't realize is that this is the 4th class (Freshman) team that's only been doing this for a few months. Great job, these are tough drills and you're smoked at the end.

    RQ

    USAFA HG '91

  • that was amazing

  • WOW...That looks damn good....

  • That is sweet!

  • Wow...it must be cold in CO!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

    False.

  • theyre like robots o.O

  • ur exactly right im in a NJROTC right now and every one makes fun of me cause they think the Air Force is gay

  • USAFA2015: It's not what they think, its what they assume. Just wait and see for yourself and you'll know what I am talking about.

  • next time they say the air force is gay, ask them about Combat Control, Pararescue, and TACP

  • this is way too hooah for me. ill stick to sleeping and relaxing while they go out and do this. lol

  • I wish I was hardcore enough to join honorguard.

  • DANG! I thought my JROTC armed drill team was good because we've just about the mastered 15 count manual. I've got a ways to go. AWESOME JOB!

  • Great job! From the way it looks and the sounds that are made it was freezing out there too.

  • aww memories, reminds me of my dads cadets he used to have there :).

  • this is some amazing stuff

cant wait to join them (hopefully)

  • was this the same class that attended SCIDM this yr?

  • yes

  • This was a nice performance, 6 years ago I thought they did a great job , but it is exatcly the same routine and now that I look at it over and over, there is nothing dangerous on it, however there are some good visual and sound effects that are really creative. It just like the fish drill team from texas a&m, all they do are the simple butt spins over and over, and it only looks good cause there are like 50 people in it.

  • We appreciate your commentary, you're correct it is the same sequence. Each freshman class learn the traditional sequence for training and competitions. Once they become recognized cadre, they then can join the Cadre-Team, whose sequence is adapted for a much higher level of difficulty.

  • Very nice, i really like the foot stop.

  • tokyomitsubishi then join the u.s. air force

  • Working on it.

  • Nah dude this is the air force academy this is really hard to get into man. My friend had to get a recomendation leter from our senator and he was lucky enough to get recomended

  • i just saw them at NIDM and they were awesome great job

  • I want to do that!
