what, i'm not white! and it's not the phrase "spoken word" that makes me uncomfortable so much as the pervasive and persisting racism that continues to plague america. they got it sliced like ham, and i'm not about to run around with my eyes squeezed shut pretending it's all gravy because it's not. so let's keep the white exoticised imitation of black culture in the coffee shops and meanwhile i'm gonna get down on some real shit with some poor people who live in the fucking street.
