Reason, when she lost the run for Governor & she retained her office as Missouri State Auditor she blows the whistle on state agencies having new/outdated computers. Several thous&s of wasted dollars. Now do you really believe that while she was State Auditor before & during her run for Governor she did not know about this waste. I am not buying it. Another "horrible" section of the bill is the provision that schools can apply for grants to have adjacent health care clinics for children which would provide routine annual physicals, necessary medical care and adequate dental care. And , no, you don't HAVE TO go to it, you can take your children to whatever doctor you want to take your children to.
One of the "terrible" provisions in this bill: Grants to eligible entities to support the operation of school-based health care, where kids will be able to get comprehensive physicals, medical and dental in a clinic located in or adjacent to a school facility. & NO it's not forced on anyone, if you want your kid to go to another dr, fine.
But right now, 10 million children lack ins, & a lot who do get ins. don't get as much care, so I suspect that svc would be of some use.
11. There will be REDUCED SPENDING as a result of this bill. . Health care costs in the United States are the most expensive in the entire world. Not the best. The most expensive. And those costs continue to rise.
10. A public plan, as a SLIDING SCALE-BASED COST option would compete against private insurers in a new insurance marketplace - WHICH WOULD BRING DOWN THE COSTS OF INSURANCE. In other words, Ed Hanway, the CEO of Cigna, might not be able to get an annual salary of like he did last year of $12.2 million (that is $5,542 per hour) but Cigna is not going to go bankrupt by having reasonable rates.
6(a) Right now, the ins. industry is getting away w/charging small business owners more for the same policy that is offered larger businesses. That's why a lof of small business owners can't insure their employees.
7. People with dependents are often not able to cover them due to the ridiculous ins. rate hikes for dependent coverage.
8. Health ins premiums are forcing employers to cut back on coverage.
9. Lack of affordable coverage has forced many WORKERS to join the ranks of the uninsured.
4.(a) In other words, if you need chemotherapy for instance, for four months, according to your doctor, the health insurance co. will not be able to cut you off at 2 months.
5. Because more people will become insured, the subsidies that are being paid for emergency room visits of the uninsured - WHICH YOU ARE PAYING NOW - will greatly decrease.
6. Small business and entrepeneurs will be able able to purchase affordable insurance.

I am against this so called health care reform as well. I don't think that the government has to get into the medical insurance business in order to lower the price of medical insurance. However, there is no need to yell out and say bad things during the town hall meetings.

Anyways if this was even about healthcare then this plan fails Washington Post reported that under the current plan 10 years after it goes into affect 17 million Americans will still be uninsured. And why if everyone complains about public schools, they use FedEx instead of the post office and complain about medicare and Medicaid then why would we want another one of these government run programs? Especially one that has a plan to ration its heathcare to the young?

Address tort reform, illegal alien care, buying insurance in any state to promote competition, encouraging those who can afford health insurance to buy it and write a bill to force insurance companies to cover preexisting conditions.

The WSJ articles authors are playing on words. In one paragraph, they use the phrase "California has 5,622,422 noncitizens in its population of 36,264,467". In their complaint of counting "illegal immigrants", are they trying to imply that the 5.6 million non-citizens are "illegal". How many of the 5.6 million are legal, permanent residents. I suspect that by throwing around a large number and the term "illegal", they are trying to inflame the issue. .
Also, red states like Texas, Arizona, and Florida will gain seats while blue states like Massachusetts will lose House seats. Anyways, the Supreme Court will decide and I hope they decide against it- I want the Liberal Blue states to keep their House seats!

Have town hall meetings and say something like Our legislation can be read by anyone in 5 minutes, no lawyer needed, and unlike Obamas, it wont cost a dime in taxes or in deficit spending.

Another "horrible" section of the bill is the provision that schools can apply for grants to have adjacent health care clinics for children which would provide routine annual physicals, necessary medical care and adequate dental care. And , no, you don't HAVE TO go to it, you can take your children to whatever doctor you want to take your children to.

One of the "terrible" provisions in this bill: Grants to eligible entities to support the operation of school-based health care, where kids will be able to get comprehensive physicals, medical and dental in a clinic located in or adjacent to a school facility. & NO it's not forced on anyone, if you want your kid to go to another dr, fine.
But right now, 10 million children lack ins, & a lot who do get ins. don't get as much care, so I suspect that svc would be of some use.

Maybe if you'd taken the time to read the bill, you would understand that you CAN purchase private insurance. It's just that they're not going to be able to raise your premiums at an astronomical rate, and their coverage will actually have to correspond with the standard of care a doctor uses to prescribe treatment.

Anyways if this was even about healthcare then this plan fails Washington Post reported that under the current plan 10 years after it goes into affect 17 million Americans will still be uninsured. And why if everyone complains about public schools, they use FedEx instead of the post office and complain about medicare and Medicaid then why would we want another one of these government run programs? Address tort reform, illegal alien care, buying insurance in any state to promote competition, encouraging those who can afford health insurance to buy it and write a bill to force insurance companies to cover preexisting conditions.

Actually, 17% of people in American are truly uninsured. 78% of that 17% are illegal immigrants and 20% are between the ages of 18 to 25 who, by speculation, feel invincible and feel that it is a waste of money. So that leaves 2% of 17%, which is below any margin of error, that are truly uninsured.

Wrong - U.S. Census has found 47 million AMERICANS uninsured (August 2009). Go to their website and look it up yourself.

Incorrect. The 47-million amount is grossly inflated. The Congressional Budget Office survey generating it included those who were uninsured for any part of a year, despite the fact that almost half of these remain uninsured for an average of only four months.
The bogus 47-million uninsured figure includes 20 million illegal aliens, young working Americans who "choose" not to purchase health insurance and those who do not use the SCHIP Program for their children.

LIE - Not true. No illegals are counted. 47 million AMERICANS have no health insurance at any point in time. Do you get it? It is not based on a year of being uninsured. People get and lose insurance all the time but at any point in time there are about 47 million AMERICANS without health insurance.

The WSJ articles authors are playing on words. In one paragraph, they use the phrase "California has 5,622,422 noncitizens in its population of 36,264,467". In their complaint of counting "illegal immigrants", are they trying to imply that the 5.6 million non-citizens are "illegal". How many of the 5.6 million are legal, permanent residents. I suspect that by throwing around a large number and the term "illegal", they are trying to inflame the issue. .

Also, red states like Texas, Arizona, and Florida will gain seats while blue states like Massachusetts will lose House seats. Anyways, the Supreme Court will decide and I hope they decide against it- I want the Liberal Blue states to keep their House seats!

Claire doesnt get it. This should indicate to herself that she is out of touch. She needs to walk in the shoes of the average American citizen but she wont and there in lies her disconnect. When someone lies and steals your money and wont admit they are doing it then there is justified anger.

I noes right. I mean our wonderful politicians pushed us into the "War on Terror" and were kind enough to give us the Patriot Act (with warrantless wiretapping). Not to mention they allowed us to bail out banks, insurance companies, and car companies for trillions of dollars.
We should be happy to live as debt slaves for unjust wars and failing banks.

Every GOP candidate should be given a 5 point Real Healthcare Reform Plan consisting of tort reform, increase use of MSAs, allowing greater access to catastrophic insurance, allowing shopping interstate for insurance and the lifting of stupid, mandates. Have town hall meetings and say something like Our legislation can be read by anyone in 5 minutes, no lawyer needed, and unlike Obamas, it wont cost a dime in taxes or in deficit spending.
