@BlasphemousVince Thanks a lot man! Ya it sure is a wicked solo but i managed to get it mostly there, i can play it much better now but i guess that's expected to be when it's over a year later lol. Post a cover of your freebird and i'll definitely check it out!!! Oh and the explorer is a great guitar, i've had it 2 years now, so if your considering buying it i would say it's worth checking out for sure

@sanmurai83 Ya, it's kinda big so try not to bump into anything, but it's really comfortable.

also invest in a decent leather strap, it's a somewhat heavy guitar so you will want a good strap and some strap locks to prevent it from falling

@TheSuperMerc $500 u.s. and ya i would highly recommend it for just about everything, it's great for all styles. I would try it out first somewhere though just to make sure the neck fits your hands well

Thanks! It was one of the first things i started working on because i love it, gotta be one of the best songs ever written, and of course the climax, the epic solo.

Yep i love my explorer, i fell in love right when i saw it :) lol.

Give it a shot man! My advice, Break it into pieces! it's mostly repeating licks, learn it lick by lick then slowly piece it together.

I'm using a Bugera 1990, 120 watt tube stack, bought it over the summer with all my money from work, and i love it!!

@heavymetal1110 thanks dude im gonna give it a shot. same thing happened to me when i went to buy my gibson lp i just cant let it go. i was really lucky to get it because when i walked in the store, some dude nearly bought it, but he put it back because i think it was that he saw me following him around for 30 minutes lol. i got mine for a good deal too. $550, but it was used, but it was worth the money.

Cool, nice guitar! what color you got? $550 for a real gibson? that's a steal, sweet deal. The gibson version of my epi is like $7.5K so that wasn't going to happen lol, but i'm extremely happy with it, it plays great and sounds great and that's all i can ask.

@heavymetal1110 the body is mahogany, its actually the natural color, there isnt no finish on it. but it does have a couple nicks on the side, but it dont matter ahahha. its also fitted in with d'addario .010s and burstbucker pro alnico V pickups. the only thing i couldnt afford was an amp, had to borrow my cousins sp 10 fender amp, but that thing blew up in a week. it couldnt handle it now i got something called a rogue 20 watt amp, im gonna get a job this summer somewhere to buy a marshall.

Nice, i am a natural wood color kinda guy, nothing fancy for me, i like either the color of the wood, or a simple paint, so natural mahogany is awesome!
