And a hipster is someone who finds out about music from pitchfork, likes it cause they do, downloads it, and then forgets about it 3 months later because they have a thousand jumbled mp3s on their computer and can't keep track of what they have.

This is certainly not me. I still listen to music I BOUGHT (there's a foreign concept) 3 months ago... 20 years ago even. I've been listening to radio dept for 8 years now... will any one of you remember them 8 years from now? I hardly doubt it.

@Y0UTUBEtheater Don't be so angry about someone enjoying a song they heard from a TV show. I heard this at the end of Person of Interest, and it grabbed me, so I sought them out. It is an awesome thing to happen upon a new song that you fall in love with, and then realize whatever band it is will have so much more for you to hear.

I understand you're upset because you found them before so many others, but just be happy a band you love is getting more exposure. I'm sure The Radio Dept. are!

I can't tell you how many times I go to a show and wonder why there are three times as many people there as the last time I saw them... then I realise that one of their songs must have been in some shitty tv show... and then it really becomes clear when I can't even hear the band CAUSE EVERYONE'S TALKING... and then... there seems to be more cheering for one particular song (hmm that must have been the song they used in whatever show).

I understand the frustration of a band becoming too popular and maybe becoming a sellout sometime in the future but that doesn't mean they should stay hidden from society just because some poseurs decided to attend their concert and pretend to love the band just so their friends would think highly of them.

I have seen bands that i love,over the years go from a 100 views to over a million and some convert their music entirely while others stay true,its their choice in the end.

@TheCrazedMadman I'm not sure if it's actually sampled from them, but it reminds me of The Cure. In fact that is why I liked it so much, The Cure is my favorite band. If you like this song, you will probably like a lot of the original "emo" music from the 80's. Morrisey, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and so many more!
