Why was there no boss? Every other Id game there's a BFB (Big FUCKING Boss) they even have you a BFG (Big FUCKING Gun). Before I did the last mission (just did it) I overheard two people in subway town saying "yea, I heard what they got there is 60ft tall" I thought to myself AWWW YEEAAH! I talked to them and they said "Oh, I'd tell you but you wouldn't believe me." this was going to make up for this short story, but it didn't. There was nothing there. Id, you have a chance to redeem yourself
I hope RAGE 2 involves traveling the world, recruiting Vault survivors in real-world locations and they can actually help you ingame. Also, Id can you make the main character talk? Not slot of FPSs has the character involved in conversations. More side quests, better open world, more weapons, no more fetch quests, more NPC interaction, and you will have the perfect sequel. That is all.
I believe there is going to be a Rage 2.....i don`t know if you guys noticed, but in the very first mission there is a poster that says 50% of Rage 2 and Doom 4...and because the game ends the way it does it think they will make a sequel to it
my main problem aside form the lack of a boss was the fact that it didn't make sense. if the jackals in the canyon killed everyone in the ark when it emerged then why would i risk the lives of a bunch of people who probably don't even know anything about this revolution anyway and with most of them being scattered far across the world there is no way i can get to any of them, it's like spending an entire game protecting something then ending the game by shooting it into smithereens for no gain.
@suppositionstudios There was only a handful of people in the ark that popped up in the Jackal camp though, the resistance captain said he would be able to get people to the arks that would surface because they got the maps to every single ark location.

I really don't understand why a lot of people say the game was difficult. For me it was one of the easiest FPS ever. You get two defilbelator (so meaning three restarts at the same place), you have quick bandages, you can extend you health and quicksaves not to mention, enemies were quick to kill as f*ck.
@karljb1990 I did the same and saved all BFG ammo for the last boss. The only time I used any rockets was when you first get them in Dead City. I thought I'd better save those for another badboy too. I really thought this game was a great technical achievement, but the ending was underwhelming to say the least.

I mean when i came to this part i thought i was just doing another quite easy quests until i get to the real big ones after this so i saved all my ammo until to face some mutants that will die with 1 shot with wingstick.. WTF?! didint even get to see the captain of the authority.. Funny to play like the gameplay but it needed more free roaming equiptment and more things to do with the gun then just get another ammunition.. 4/10.
Very disappointing and lazy game. The combat was fun but that was the only good quality of the game. Everything else got so repetitive, there was no character development - no nothing. The game felt like one big, arduous trip.
The game was alright but needed more lengh , I did not like how your missions were right around the corner , there was no ending boss level Wich was gay as fuck , nothing was scary at all , needed more guns and more cities to Rome around , plus you could just run around with a shout gun and beat the game really .

Once that i was starting to like it, it end... and badly.. This title was one of the most expected of 2011 but it fail.. Im a fan of quake N doom so i expect a fast, gory and devilish story but insted i got a dispointing story, weak wepons and a LONG loading game. All the budget were spend in graphics and landscapes.
this "GAME" was probably the best ps3 game i owned... until i played the last five hours (10 HOUR CAMPAIGN). The rebillion was short(3 people not including the player). The story was just awful (most of us would compare this to Fallout but this is a game where you don't get to choose. you're pushed along on a storypath like a zelda game and you can't say no.) @PWNER24life I'm not saying that it wasn't a cliffhanger. I'm saying that this isn't. A cliffhanger is a set-up that leaves you wondering what happens next. This was a cutscene unfinished abruptly. This cutscene has no real meaning. Heck, AC2 didn't even end in the cutscene. There was important dialogue throughout the credits which made it a true ending.

Well for me this game was just a test for the ID Engine. I think bethesda needed this to see how people react to this engine, so they can use it in maybe Fallout 4? donno..i want to think that because usually bethesda don't make so EPIC FAIL story lines...

just "finished" this game. not much of an "ending". The only reason i'm on this page was to make sure i didnt miss something. pretty bummer ending. i'm "glad" i did all the extra side missions, now knowing they had no purpose. eh, this game was really fun, but it's equivalent to watching a fireworks show with no finale. -end rant
It's funny how everyone is whining that the game's ending sucked. It didn't suck. It did what it was supposed to do. It closes off the plot of the first game but leaves expansion space for dlc and sequels.

@OTWarrior02 remember, this is Id. Not Bethesda, not Valve. Id. They did what they do best. Make a fantastic shooter with an outrageous plot behind it that isn't too complex. Look at Wolfenstein and Doom. Doom didn' t even have a real story until it's reboot with Doom 3.

I personally think that rage seems like a tech demo for whatever rage 2 is gonna be... or some kind of prequel as there isn't really a story just some guy got out early and opened all the arcs. Hopefully rage 2 or whatever comes after this will be an actual full game

Is when it doesnt let you get to 100%...not that i complete all games to 100% but its always nice to have that option.
It did what Fallout 3 and Farcry 2 did, after credits...Oops back to the start, i wanted to complete the races, and sidemissions...

I had so high hopes for this game.
I mean when i came to this part i thought i was just doing another quite easy quests until i get to the real big ones after this so i saved all my ammo until to face some mutants that will die with 1 shot with wingstick.. WTF?! didint even get to see the captain of the authority.. Funny to play like the gameplay but it needed more free roaming equiptment and more things to do with the gun then just get another ammunition.. 4/10.

Very disappointing and lazy game. The combat was fun but that was the only good quality of the game. Everything else got so repetitive, there was no character development - no nothing. The game felt like one big, arduous trip.

The game was alright but needed more lengh , I did not like how your missions were right around the corner , there was no ending boss level Wich was gay as fuck , nothing was scary at all , needed more guns and more cities to Rome around , plus you could just run around with a shout gun and beat the game really .

Once that i was starting to like it, it end... and badly.. This title was one of the most expected of 2011 but it fail.. Im a fan of quake N doom so i expect a fast, gory and devilish story but insted i got a dispointing story, weak wepons and a LONG loading game. All the budget were spend in graphics and landscapes.

this "GAME" was probably the best ps3 game i owned... until i played the last five hours (10 HOUR CAMPAIGN). The rebillion was short(3 people not including the player). The story was just awful (most of us would compare this to Fallout but this is a game where you don't get to choose. you're pushed along on a storypath like a zelda game and you can't say no.) I give this game a 5.5/10. sorry if this is long but i needed to get this of my chest.

@PWNER24life I'm not saying that it wasn't a cliffhanger. I'm saying that this isn't. A cliffhanger is a set-up that leaves you wondering what happens next. This was a cutscene unfinished abruptly. This cutscene has no real meaning. Heck, AC2 didn't even end in the cutscene. There was important dialogue throughout the credits which made it a true ending.

Well for me this game was just a test for the ID Engine. I think bethesda needed this to see how people react to this engine, so they can use it in maybe Fallout 4? donno..i want to think that because usually bethesda don't make so EPIC FAIL story lines...

I wish they update the game so all the sidequests dont get locked down I made a save at the wrong part and all the side quests were all locked down so I was extremely made since i dont wanna go through the whole game again I mean come on why do games still do primitive bs like this ? save here or you cant go back... The only reason i'm on this page was to make sure i didnt miss something. pretty bummer ending. i'm "glad" i did all the extra side missions, now knowing they had no purpose. eh, this game was really fun, but it's equivalent to watching a fireworks show with no finale. -end rant

It's funny how everyone is whining that the game's ending sucked. It didn't suck. It did what it was supposed to do. It closes off the plot of the first game but leaves expansion space for dlc and sequels.
