  • So, that wasnt he intro. That was just the theme song.....

  • Cummington?

  • By this point Happy Days really sucked bad. It was a great show but then became this wreck. They should have renamed it Crappy Days.

  • I like to pretend that Roger was so ashamed that he killed Happy Days that he moved ti Chicago and changed his name to Jefferson Darcy

  • FONZIE ROCKS !!!

  • This show got really stupid at the end.

  • what the shit!? boooo!

  • hahaha ted migenly had a mw2 jacket

  • Ted Mcginly's intro.swag.nowhere as much as fonzie, but in this,he had swag with that one wink.

  • @carpalton Linda Purl Heather O'Rourke Billy Warlock Crystal Bernard and Ted McGinly

  • Horrible, horrible, horrible. Fonzie jumped the shark at least 3 or 4 times by this point.

  • i didn't know this show was on in the 80s too.

  • WHO ARE THESE STRANGE PEOPLE?????????

  • Does anyone know if the seasons after season 4 of Happy Days have been released? Thanks

  • @Philly2002 To the best of my knowledgeno.Last I heard, some of the happy Days cast members were upset with CBS who released the first 4 seasons on DVD.

  • the hair and clothes were tooooooo modern looking

  • Rebecca Black disliked this.

  • Hmmm, I wonder. When did this show jump the shark?

  • @jakovasaur It wasn't when Fonzie jumped the shark--it was when the old Arnold's burned down and after Richie left.

  • Fonzie being married was the nail in the coffin.

  • Ted Mcginley wasnt beating up nerds yet.

  • @MrJacMac1986 lol

  • Maybe Chuck Cunningham should have come back in season 10

  • Al: Oh Hey Jefferson

  • Cathy Silvers played one of the most annoying characters ever on television. Poor substitution for Joanie.

  • I think Ted McGinley should come with a warning label when you see him on a favorite show (maybe present day its Will Ferrell) Be very afraid that your favorite show is about to go off the air!

  • @Kelski1998 Yeah he did the same thing to the Love Boat

  • FONZIE!!!!

  • There's like 500 people in this cast.

  • SO MODERN not 50's 60's

  • When Richie and Ralph left, i started watching it for Joanie and Chachi, but didn't really like this season since they where even gone until season 11

  • look at those post moves :29. Sign him up for the nba

  • Ted McGinley! The patron saint of shark jumping! Gotta love to hate him.

  • The 90's had That 70's show, our parents had Happy Days... I love both!

  • @erika2012vsu , nice to know you enjoy classic tv. :D I enjoyed this and maybe if i get kids of my own someday I'm gonna show em this.

  • What happend to Richie? and potzy?

  • @SlittyDrake they joined the military

  • its interesting to note that originally the 'Fonz' character was going to be a minor character and did not do alot. He turned out to be the most popular character in the series =D

  • never fails: sure sign that a show has jumped the shark ted mcginley is lurking around. by season 10 this show had written its own epitaph.

  • Mister C. RIP!

  • Mr. C was the coolest besides "The Fonz"

  • @mikeletz Agreed!

  • @retrofann1 Happy Days was a great feel good show with alot of great actors. Tom Bosley was the true leader on that show. RIP Tom!

  • @mikeletz Just like John Ritter in 3's Company.

    RIP John and Tom!

2 greats of the same era with great shows during pretty much the same times.

  • @retrofann1 John was another extremely gifted actor. The TV shows of today don't compare to the ones of yesteryear! thanks for your great comments! Mike.

  • @mikeletz of course the glory days of tv are long gone.

  • RIP

  • RIP Tom Bosley

  • 0:55 Mr C

Like I will always remember him. Great; loveable TV DAD

    RIP

  • 'eeeyy.... Rest In Peace, Mr. C~ (Tom Bosley 1927-2010)

  • @kojikatsuya tom bosley 1927 2010

  • how many seasons were there on happy days

  • @David9788

    11

  • How many good sit-coms did Ted McGinley kill? He always comes in at the end.

  • I watch this intro and the earlier one, by far I like the older one better. Where it was the original cast.

  • ron howerd?

  • OMG its Heather O'Rourke!!!!!!!! :D

    rip

  • It was a shame that Erin Moran couldn't get any decent work after the cancelation of Happy Days. But, no, she had to live with that terror of a husband that held her back for so many years.

  • @83survivor

Sunday Monday Crappy Days Tuesday Wendnesday Crappy Days Thursday Friday Crappy Days Saturday what a day crapping all week with you.

  • @SnakeCIA1 MUCH better when Richie, Ralph, Joanie, Chachi, and Al left.

  • wow ted m is hottt!

  • WTF is up with Ted McGinley wearing ball-hugger Daisy Dukes, playing basket ball at 0:29. He looks more like George Michael in that getup. LMAO

  • well at least henry winkler never left then happy days would've been shitty days

  • THIS SERIES WILL BACK ON TRACK SOON ON FOX AND ALL THE NETWORKS A SERIES IS NOT OF A NERTWOORK OR A CHANNEL IS ALL OVER THE NETWORKS AROUND THE WORLD

  • Well just so ya know, Linda Purl, Scott Baio and Tom Bosley would later work with Television Executives Dean Hargrove & Fred Silverman

Linda Purl worked w/Hargrove & Silverman on the set of the very 1st Season of Matlock as Ben's Daughter Charlene, Scott Baio would work w/Hargrove & Silverman on the set of Diagnosis Murder and Tom Bosley would play the role of Chicago Catholic Priest Father James Dowling in the TV Series Father Dowling Mysteries.

  • Here was where the show started to lose steam in the ratings, dropping from 18th place in Season 9 to 28th place in Season 10.

  • Poltergeist girl, Jefferson Darcy, Phil Silvers' daughter, some chick I never heard of and Fonzie wearing the infamous black t-shirt to help hide his gut. No, this show didn't go 3 or 4 seasons too long.

  • @chachihatesjoanie Linda Purl was on the very 1st Season of Matlock before she was replaced by Nancy Stafford

  • My God, who are all these people? And why is the little Poltergeist girl hanging around with the Cunninghams? Surreal.

  • They're always adding children to long established sitcoms when the interest starts to wane amongst their long time fans.

  • I had MAJOR MAJOR crush on Ted McGinley when he was on HD. He was so dreamy as Roger!!

  • It's Jefferson Darcy! haha

  • @JACKOTACO when u see ted mcginley its like sitcom on life support! as u see in happy days, married with children and love boat

  • @DRUMMERMAN77 Married with Children stayed on top after he came.

  • @DRUMMERMAN77

Actually Jefferson was on longer than Steve on MWC.

  • @JACKOTACO LOL!

  • @JACKOTACO and that is how Happy Days jumped the shark

  • @JACKOTACO im so glad someone else watches married w children lmao

  • ted mc ginley !?!?! aka jefferson darcy !?!? married mit children

  • Linda Purl played Richie's girlfriend Gloria in Season 1.

  • This was the beginning of the end of Happy Days.

  • @snake063 Man I could hear the Fonz puttin on those water skis and that shark sharpening his teeth as this was playing.

Check me out Puppetboy over at blogspot.

  • @snake063 No, the beginning of the end is when the old Arnold's burned down, the condition worsened when Richie left, entered its terminal stage in Season 10, and died--albeit in good spirits in hospice care--with Season 11.

  • @snake063 I think the beginning of the end was when Richie left the show. It never was the same (heck, how could it be?).

  • @snake063 and the penultimate end of 2 of HD's other existing spin-off shows in the popular "Laverne and Shirley" (by this time Cindy Williams got preggo and was fired from the show) and "Joanie Loves Chachi."

  • @snake063 the show ran for 15 years ????

  • @StepsFan4Life Only 10 years. 1974-1984.

  • @travis7310 Though the show ran for 10 years, it had 11 seasons as it had started in January 1974.

  • waite who the fuck is cathy silvers.

  • @SolidMike She played Jenny Piccalo and wa s the daughter of Phil silvers

  • i think she was banging fonzie

  • 0:31

XD hey its me The Fonz, nope im not gonna......

    >:O EYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • Why is Roger wearing skin tight flesh color basket ball shorts?

  • I can spot Fonzie, Potsie, Mr. and Mrs. C, but the rest I have no clue who they are.

  • Who the hell are all these people?

  • what happened to Ron Howard ???

  • @zalcedo He left in 1980 and became a director. As for his character Richie he is in the army and married LoriBeth.

  • I didn't know Heather died! :(

  • @fullhousefrek She did in 1988, Heather was such an adorable little girl.

  • i know! they are all at that age!

  • Heather O'Rourke was the best on the show she was so funny and too cute.... Fonzie was a great father figure.

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!

    10 years during on TV

this is old, but, fuck, an old show didn't durated 10 years

(the simpsons are from the 90's)

(Hsppy days are from 70's and 80's)

  • 9-30-2009. Happy Birthday, Crystal. Or can I call you KC. Mikki, maybe? This show will go down as one of my all-time favorites. I know that it was on its last legs when you joined the cast, but I still enjoyed you. Thanks for the memories.

  • Linda Purl played 2 different characters on Happy Days. during the first season she played "Gloria" Ritchie's G/F and season 10 she played Fonzie's G/F Ashley...

  • Such a cool tune and good memories and yet still people are arguing and calling each other names on yet another youtube video clip...wow

  • That's the internet for you...

  • tom bosley looks drunk in the opening credits-i guess he saw the ratings

  • Heather O'Rourke RIP

  • The A-Team was kicking this relics butt.

  • Horny Days !

  • jefferson darcy was his best by far. married with children i think got better with him on it

  • think the show was on life support at this point........

  • i think the show was past life support more like being given the last rites

  • @HistoryofTek Actually, while the show was losing some steam, it still ranked among the Top 30 programs that season.

  • The Hoop seems kind of low, Roger should've done a monster dirty dunk on that bad boy, while knocking Flip on his face..

  • One sign that a show is past its prime- Ted McGinley is in the cast. He later joined the Love Boat and Married With Children for the last few seasons of those shows (although I have to admit his Married With Children charcter Jefferson was a riot. I wonder if the Jefferson charcter is named after Jefferson High School on Happy Days. Maybe, I guess).

  • Can someone please give me the original artistname of the track? I need it for a endwork for school.

    Much aprreciated.

    Please PM me :)

  • Here's a hint, you idiot, google it. Go to the first listing. Hope you fail you stupid little retard.

  • I was waiting for a normal reQ. But these are nonsense.. You fucking fool!

  • Man, today's episode was funny. Called 'Wild Blue Yonder', it was about Roger and Fonzie taking a small plane ride from Milwaukee to Minnesota to a teacher's convention. It appears to be spring time, as there's no snow, yet they somehow end up flying flew what looks like the snow covered Rocky Mountains! Last time I checked, there weren't any huge mountains between Milwaukee and Minnesota. I think even the plane was anachronistic. LOL, Garry Marshall must have been senile on this story.

  • i like the high sign

  • I was watching reruns of Season 10 recently, and I noticed that for the Christmas episode for this season, the theme song was changed. The lead singer sounded different, and even the melody was slightly altered, or maybe it was the key. Either way, it sounded horrible. Was the theme song supposed to change mid-season, but got changed back when it didn't get a good reception for the Christmas episode?

  • I just remembered that it wasn't just the song that changed. The visuals also changed. For example, it starts off with a juke box with colourful flashing lights. Then they show cast members in their younger age and then current age. For example, Joannie as a kid gets knocked down from a seat she's sharing with Mr. C, but then when he picks her up, she's an adult. A similar sequence with Fonzie and Chachi at the garage.

  • The intro that you are thinking of is actually from season 11, not 10. The intro with the different singer and Joanie getting knocked by Howard was used for the entire 11th season. If you want to see it just search YouTube for "Happy Days season 11".

  • I checked it out and it's the same intro as the Season 10 Christmas episode that I saw. I recorded, and just checked it out, and it definitely has the Season 11 intro. Someone must have goofed up when they sent out the episode in syndication, editing on that other season's intro onto the season 10 episode. I know its from Season 10 because it starts off in Arnolds with Arnold in a Santa outfit, and Heather O'Rourke & Fonzie show up.

  • The same thing happened in Family Matters.

  • Its Amazing How Chuck Went Upstairs

To Do Homework then no more Chuck

    Cunningham

  • He was awesome in The Beauty and The Beast musical as Belle's father. I was there when it first show the original actors from the Broadway version in 1994.

  • When Mr. C shrugs his shoulders at 0:57, it's like he's saying to the viewers, "Hey, I know this season sucks, but waddia gonna do, eh?

  • lmao @ your interpretation of Mr C @ 0:55-0:57.

  • its the same as season 8

  • Love this comment. That wildly strange 10th season. 11th was pretty masterful, though. : )

  • I don't see him shrugging his shoulder. I see him tilting his head to his left, raising his eyebrows, and smiling.

  • Fonzie & Ashley should've gotten married.

  • cne08,

    NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Isn't there another season 10 intro that included Crystal Bernard, Billy Warlock, and Heather O'Rourke in them? I could have sworn I've seen them somewhere.

  • You most likey saw them get special billing in the ending credits. Just like Cathy Silvers and Ted McGinley in seasons 8 and 9, in season 10 Crystal Bernard, Billy Warlock, and Heather O'Rourke were all credited with their pictures and "also co-starring" titles in the ending credits.

  • Thank you! I didn't realize that they did credits with their pictures in the end credits. It's been a while since I've seen the later episodes.

  • The last shot in the opening titles was re-filmed to include Crystal Bernard with the others so that *may* be what you're thinking of as well.

  • Oh man... whenever McGinley shows up, you know it's over!

  • Ain't that the truth...but then again, Married with Children had a long life after Jefferson D'Arcy came along.

I used to watch Happy Days in syndication in the early '90s - used to love it too, watched it for at least six years on various channels.

Thankfully, I was a baby when Joanie Loves Chachi was on and I never had to see how terrible that show really was!

  • It is fortunate that you were a baby uring Joanie Loves Chachi, I myself was 17 going on 18. I watched every episode, but thankfully I don't remember any episodes. It was so bad that Gary Marshall demanded that they quit the show and go back to Milwaukee

I was 9 when Happy Days premiered.

  • Joanie Loves Chachi, ironically, was a 1st Season hit in the Nielsen rating. But when it changed the timeslot in the 2nd season, the ratings dropped considerably.

  • u no wen there on the byctcle thats excactly wat chachi joanie and jenny did in season nice

  • miss watching this show

  • is henry winkler still alive... and what happen to scott bioe??? he was in season 8 and 9?????????????

  • Yes Henry Winkler is still alive. And Scott Baio went on to his a reality show. I forget what it is called.

  • just the sight of ted "jump the shark" mckinley brings me right outta the early sixties and into the eighties

  • this is the old crap :P they dont show this anymore

  • tom bosley I love for ever

  • Linda Purl? No recollection of her at all.

  • WOW! And I thought she was hot on Matlock! She looks amazing!

  • Linda Purl was Richie's girlfriend in season 2. Gloria. And then she became Fonzie's girlfriend in season 10.

  • Gross! ;)

  • Cathy Silvers, Jenny Picollo, Joanie's promiscuous off-camera character becomes a regular! The show was definitely doomed at this point but still very loveable.

  • Here's another fact:

Ron Howard and Linda Purl worked with TV Legends Andy Griffith and Henry Winkler

They both starred in Happy Days, but Ron is also best known as Andy's Son Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show and Linda worked with Andy on the set of the 1st Season of the Hit TV Series Matlock which became Andy's 1st Hit Show since The Andy Griffith Show, but Andy also starred in the short lived Drama called Headmaster.

  • Yep, Ted McGinley. Every TV show's guaranteed death sentence.

  • If he's the TV show death, then why did Married with Children lasted more six seasons w/ him around?

And Happy Days was already in a ratings slump when Ron Howard left and even before Ted McGinley came along.

  • Gotta love that Happy Days reference in Married With Children. They did that as an in-joke. Actually, what killed Married With Children is Seven, but he was dealt with no explanation and wad never seen again.

  • @megamanj2004X Poor Ted McGInley has such a bad rap. It's not his fault the producers of both The Love Boat and Happy Days brought him along when their ratings were already in the toilet due to cast changes & overexposure.

  • Billy was shown in the closing credits.

  • My this Season's cast was REALLY trimmed down. But Ted McGinley IS SO HOT! Cathy Silvers was my fave, her perky voice and cheerfulness always entertained me!

  • i love this song!!! it cheers me up!

  • I Cheer you Up

    XD

  • Could be a manufactured memory, since Warlock didn't join the cast until season 10 (which is also when Ted McGinley and Cathy Silvers were added to the opening credits).

  • the legend of fonzie lives on forever

  • Scott Baio and Erin Moran make special guest appearances during season 10, you know.

  • You notice that both Erin Moran and Scott Baio went on to do Joanie Loves Chachi since they are not present here. They'll return for the last season, though.

  • You notice that both Erin Moran and Scott Baio went o

  • im for real..so u sit on it lol

  • Sit On It!

  • well actually season 9 was the same as 8 and 10
