  • YOUNGER GRISSOM FROM CSI ?

  • @DBNIGHT Yes

  • Love this movie :D oh and chance is a badass

  • Wow... I totally overlooked this movie... I didn't know Freidkin Directed it... a good comback after the weird Crusing and epic but disasterous Sorcerer... Watching this now it got classic written all over it... fast paced like French Connection and VERY 1985. Emphasized well by the Wang Chung Score. The car chase scene is a wicked WTF is going on???

  • fail... they left out the suitcase... I suppose william petersen characters don´t have finger prints in this movie, right? They later return scaping the pursuit of their fellow secret service agents by a hair, they couldnt grab the cars plate number or the faces of peterson and his partner. Guess in that world finger prints are no existent, specialy when there is a dead man with a bullet in his back.

  • i cant believe they crashed a 72- torino into the back of the red car on the bridge

  • Cover agents were dogshit.....if anyone ever drove a Crown Victoria they have the sound down to a tee....nicely done.

  • Cover agents were dogshit.....

  • I think that William Friedkin one-upped his car chase scene in "The French Connection" with this chase. One crazy motherfucker...

  • Damn, where did that guy learn how to shoot?

He sprays bullets all over the place then shoots his fellow agent.

Look like upper mgt material for the TSA.

  • - the red palmtree is also like blood out of a bulletwound

    - the capitals LA with fire to indicate its a hot/dangerous city

    - the pounding dark synthesizer adds power to the bold fontset.

    - de distingtive orange sunset of LA

The TLADILA track is a well balanced ballet of tough suburbs and depressing citylife. The piano and synthesizers emphesizes stopmotion city drama,

the beat emphesizes exotic life , the flute gives neighbourhood feeling, guitars sound remorsefull.

    ..i get carried away :p

  • Wang Chung whole soundtrack...

  • God...I felt so sorry for Thomas Lin.

  • sucks

  • DAMN what song is that when they take him away?

  • Love this flick...always wondered what they would have done if the dude told them he was an F.B.I. agent. Would have made things pretty tricky, no? Friedkin snatched Petersen out of "Streetcar" in Canada to make this flick. In my top 10, maybe top 5 ever. "Buddy....you're in the wrong place at the wrong time"...

  • best fucking movie ever made!!!!!!

  • This is one of the best movies ever!

  • This is one of the best movies ever!

  • One person doesn't have an adrenaline gland.

  • GREAT 80's movie.. under rated

  • William Petersen is great. But there's no denying that he fucked up big time when he turned down the role of Henry Hill in Goodfellas.

  • ole bow legged tumblin dice mutha fucka hhahaha

  • is the track from 1:00 also available on the wang chung cd?

  • awesome!!!!

  • I can't say enough positive things about this film. It endures so well...even 25 years (!) after it came out.

One reason I loved this film is that it was the first movie (that I know of) that did NOT glamorize Los Angeles. It showed its seedy underbelly and grit...and I freakin' love that!

  • Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time...This movie kicks ass, all ass!

  • My gvote for best police case ever !

  • What is the name of the fast tempo song playing during the chase? I can't find it anywhere. It is NOT by Wang Chung! Its instrumental.

  • @vigotheunholy NO ONE RESPOND TO ME. I FOUND THE SONG. IT IS WANG CHUNG. MY BAD.

  • @vigotheunholy You sure it's not by Wang Chung? They did other instrumentals in this movie.

  • @Jimmybangkok

Yes it was. I was wrong. I now have the soundtrack from someone on CD.

  • alright all you young punks...you want a badass movie from start to finish go get this now...that's an order!!

    lol

  • You know what this is?

    What's the game?

    It's no game. Just walk.

    Why?

Why? Cause if you don't I'll blow your fucking heart out.

ROWWR! Sucha kick-ass piece of dialogue and killer ending line, music, pace, timing, all elements kicking ass and leading into the Chase. Eat your heart our Ronin, this was the original, superior wrong way down the highway chase.

  • Best Car Chase scene ever. Second being the bourne identity

  • Holy crap. I jonsed on this movie when it came out, but this is some seriously good stuff. The soundtrack is amazing, the filmaking also amazing. Can I get started about the acting?

  • Someone should upload this entire film here.

  • Those halliburtons are built to survive a nuclear war lolol

  • Agent Wang Chung was chased by his one people and then in a case of "friendly fire" took a 5.56 MM rd to the spine. And in this case of fratricide does the FBI admit that it made a mistake? Hell no, cover that up and blame anyone else. Who could it lay the case on? You, me. TSA, NSA, CIA, BOP, IRS. FDA, even the ROTC.

Pull out the blamethrower and fire at will.

  • @fitz4609 LOL at Agent Wang Chung.

  • 'blamethrower' - i'll have to remember that

  • I couldnt't believe Willem Dafoe's acting in this. Really came across as one of the most horrific villains I've ever seen in this type of movie.

  • William Petersen kind of resembles Dan Marino

    classic movie

  • oh das is mein fall ;) und HeisseZone . com ist der geheimtip für Kerle

  • No way those two cops would have stopped up on the bridge, no way!

  • they were't cops.. they were Feds...

  • Love this movie, and I'm not ordinarily an action film fan. Saw it when it first came out ub 1985. Even though I've only been to LA once, I feel like this is one of the most realistic, powerful scenes ever shot on film set in a major city. I saw a film clip where William Petersen said he did most of the driving in it, and fought to do it in its entirety; but Friedkin brought in a stunt driver to fill in the gaps. I just love its authenticity and raw power. And the film isn't too bad either! ;-)

  • This movie was really top and realistic..

because you don't expect them to accidentally rob an undercover cop.... they got chased by their own people and lucky to get away...

  • so allein..:( will jemand mit mir chattn hab auch bilder und so

  • This is one great movie! Its like the movies from the 70s,every thing is so real because they flim on location.Los Angeles has the best of everything for the studios.

  • This WAS & STILL is a CLASSIC MOVIE!!!

  • I own this movie soundtrack .... on cassette ! ;-)

What a great, great underrated movie this is. Before DVDs came along, I bought an ex-rental VHS of this and wore it out.

Peterson is great, Dafoe steals every scene he is in, but with little screen time John Turturro steals the entire movie .. just as he would do ten years later in Millers Crossing

One of the great all car chases, right up there with Bullit and Ronin

  • I still have the original L.P!

  • OK, Nightsurf, you win. Your vinyl beats my polymer ;-)

  • Top 5 for chase scene. Good acting, no frills. LA in the 80's very true to form, show stoppers and pill poppers

  • On my channel I have an interview with Friedkin where he talks about filming this chase scene.

He says he still likes "The French Connection" chase better. I myself think this one is better.

  • classic underrated slept on movie

fucking intense car chase scene (william petersen) is a great underrated actor kinda like (gary oldman)

wang chung (city of the angels) instrumental is classic

  • @RUSSTRADAMUS absolutely - if you like intense actors, check out Sam Rockwell too. Not many of this type of actor around

  • @FetidToecheese

yeah I fucking loved him as WILD BILL in GREEN MILE

PETER STORMARE (armageddon .. bad boys 2) & STUART WILSON (no escape .. lethal weapon 3)

are GREAT ACTORS also who dont get enough credit

  • @RUSSTRADAMUS Right.. I first saw rockwell years ago in some TV drama about an alcoholic in some little town in Alaska. It was a really fucked up story and I felt for the guy in the most gut wretching way. Good to see him getting some Hollywood success now. He was recently next to Harrison Ford in the alien flick. Peter Stormare - always like looking out for him - great comedy too! :D OOH SNAP!

  • I never get tired of watching this Its just so dynamic and improvised It feels real

  • brilliant movie ...dont make em like this no more

  • I read somewhere that the case wasn't meant to open, but the actors just carried on regardless. Am I right ??

  • These ranks up there among the best car chase scenes in hollywood history! This movie is from same director of French Connection that produced another great chase!!!

  • Best car chase scene ever.

  • One my my favorite all-time movie car chases... love the music too. Thanks for posting this up!

  • When Lin gits shot, it's not just the experience . . . . it's the TRAINING.

  • When you're ready 4 your car 2b more than it's mpg, git yosef A BOX CHEVY. Towing stoing, safety, real frame, real engine, I want one with a vortecs pushing 400+hp for quick trips to LA.

  • this move is so cooool i love it

  • haha this movie cam out before i even was born haha but the best movie my dad sat down n watched wit me

  • Coool!

  • Best North American car chase scene, ever!

  • Great Movie and Wang Chung rock. This seems to be a not well noticed movie. The story is ace, great direction, acting and soundtrack. Thanks for posting.
