brendon small in an interview said he uses his normal voice and a Universal Audio 6176 to make it more gravelly, but he uses the same tone when playing live, otherwise your vocal chords would die from literally shock after all of that haha.

I think his singing is awesome! But good point, it's not just the singing that it's about, the people on the intruments are awesome! In pop music, that's always about the singing, it's stupid, and the people on the instruments in pop music don't get the same credit as the singers. That's stupid! (in other words, i agree).
