  • NICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCE

  • awesome video !

you gave me alot of insperation!!

  • O_o

  • You are so talented! GORGEOUS JOB!!!!!

  • nice and creative

  • ehm...nice tecnhique but it's far from being realistic

  • Great yeee

  • incredible. grate work. i wish i could make such grate art work :)

  • I have had cs5 for about 2 weeks and and I I photoshop is new to me but agree once you do this a few times its not so hard it just takes time but so much fun and add so much to my fractal art work...it did go a little fast for me but am thankful you did this!

  • How do you people seriously think that by doing a rush through presentation like that that anybody is going to follow your tutorial. Slow down, cut the crappy music, and explain as you go in detail.

  • yes! great!!!

  • great work

  • you know, I really wish youtube would allow for 20 minute videos, I tried to upload a vid that was 20 min and it was removed :(

  • @kariokiinoc

"PhotoShop Glass/Crystal BALL/Orb. Better glass distortion!"

This video was not meant to be a step by step tutorial, hence, the phrase "tutorial", and "how to" were not in the title.

  • please do it again and slow down, talking us through would be even better

  • Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why so fast :(

  • @dakidrick I wish it was slower too! lol

  • yourr going too fast :(

    but still pretty cool effect!

  • beautiful,

  • can this be done in cs1 and pse8?

  • @eastsaintlouis62203 I'm pretty sure it can be done in CS1 (the video was made in CS2). as far as ps8, I don't know.

  • Looks amazing. you make it look easy! (unfortunately it's not)

  • @krysanth00 It may seem difficult, but after a few times, it really is easy, once you have an understanding of the fundamentals of photoshop.

  • good

  • how do you copy layer with the same shape?

  • @iecereal Use the select tool, to select the area to be copied, and select Layer/New Layer via Copy. To select the shape of an existing layer, option+click the thumbnail of that layer, and will make a selection of the area used in any existing layer.

  • how do you copy layer with the same shape?

  • its awesome but could u make it more slow please im just a beginner!!!

  • amazing

    ~

  • thats pretty neat (:

i'm going to try this some day

  • it rocks!!!

  • Thanks a lot for this video...it is very amazing and the result looks fabulous.

    Regards from Switzerland.

  • VERY COOL VID. MAKE MORE!!! :D

  • Amazing vid, great captions and easy to follow. Great Job!

  • What program/software did you use? Photoshop?

  • @SkinnyTiesFTW

"What program/software did you use? Photoshop'?

This was done on Photoshop CS2

  • I think the first reflection is better. this is aawesome.

  • how can you shape the shadow in 1:16?

  • @petmay13 "how can you shape the shadow in 1:16"?

Select the layer containing the shadow, then select the "move" tool (Top right, of the tool bar). The image will have a dotted square outline with a tiny box on each side, and on each corner. Grab one of the tiny boxes and drag to shrink/squeeze the image.

If you are doing this to resize (not to squeeze) the image, use a corner box, and hold the shift key to lock proportions.

    I hope that helps! :o)

  • cool

  • I have to agree that you were moving pretty fast for me to catch on...but I like the tutorial....it was awsome! ^_^

  • I am trying to put a picture into a peice of jewelery and need to merge into an orb. Canta figure it out exactly. Any tips?

  • great but too fast

  • amazing .. too fast !!!

  • Great, but I absolutely am not THAT talented!

  • Slowdown pls!

  • Pretty cool. What's the song, and who's it by?

  • Song credits are at the end of the video, I can't remember what it was.

  • A perfect and time saving technique, thanks fret2424!

  • Awsome video. And btw intro of song reminds linkin park with you scratch beat.

  • cool, but I need to have it sloooowed sown a bit.

  • thats cool

  • i like it ;) well done !

  • i think it looked good

  • Nice! Now make a chrome object (logo, etc.) with a reflection on it :) Now that's a challenge!

  • ;) nice

  • awesome!

  • thanks

  • Man you are really funny so fast!

  • maybe just a small impression in the sand to to simulate weight of orb, but ya good job, love the song, having trouble finding it, also maybe a bit slower or more instructions

  • it looks like a pokeball at 0:56 lo

  • very good

  • Very good tutorial man really thank you very much i really needed this :D

can you please tell me the name of the song please?

    Nice tutorial!

  • hahaha great bro ... its a lil hard for me to do all what you do i want to know as welll wat program u used to make the video?

  • Thanks for the complement, and thanks for watching!

I use a program called iShowU to capture my screen while working. Then I use IMovie (apple) to edit and add music, credits etc.

  • Thank you fret2424

    Good idea

  • Awesome idea !!! I'll try that myself - nice sound too, but - hell, that's a fast vid !! Gonna have to watch that a couple of more times before I can do that myself :o)

  • Really Great work.

fet2424 is a good designer. Thanks

  • What a great work,

    fet2424 is really a designer.

  • it helped me and is a good vision of a cristal ball but i think that the reflexion of the dots was more realistic than the oval and gradient :D Just my opinion

  • I have to agree, in sunlight the two small soft reflections are more realistic. The oval reflection would be better suited to express indoor lighting.

    Thanks for watching!

  • it;s cool xD

  • the name of the song is? :D

  • The name of the song is: "watch the video till the end to get the name of the band, then Google it". :o)

  • fico!!!

  • Unless this refers to my credit score, I'm assuming that this is in a different language. Hmmmm a 4 letter "f" word? I wonder what it means.

  • cool! XD

  • portuguese, meaning " i stay ", diferente way of complement.

  • LOL thanks for the clarification, not even close to what I thought it meant. :o)

  • Aww. I was hoping to get some kinda distorting overlay. D:

  • if there is a way to make a transparent layer distort the underlying layers in a way similar to the way glass does, it must be a secret because I've never seen it.

  • How do you warp the ball???

    I couldn't remember! :(

  • Man, that was nice. Too fast for me to see what was done, but I applaud the end result.

    .....

  • Thanks for the complement!

I know it's fast, I wanted it to be interesting for those who are not photoshoppers, as well. I did annotate every step, so with use of the pause button, one could work at a normal pace.

  • pretty cool

  • YOU THE MAN

    Advanced video

    Very nice

    5 star stuff.

  • nuff respect man...i see your last video and clicked to come here and i already know its good...thanks man..

  • THANK YOU VERRY MUCH

    5/5

me too I still learning ;))

    GREAT TUTORIAL

  • Wow! Dude! RESPECT!

  • Thanks!!!!!!

  • Way to fast to work out what you was doing, alittle slower would be alot more helpful.

But good results in the end

  • That was amazing Thanks for the detailed tutorial!!

  • Epic work mate well done. ;D

  • Nice work. I like it.

  • brilliant many thanks top geezer

  • Thank You, I'm still learning, the encouragement helps!

  • !great! tutorial ....

    definitely 10 stars !!1!

  • Thank You!

  • Tried to do a step by step, with verbal instruction, and the video was almost 20 min. maybe I'll try it again and see if I can get the time down.

  • could be very usefull if it was abit slower and more instructions

  • looks realistic, and its quik

  • too fast sorry

  • hindi

  • Thanks so much, this helped my project oodles.

  • wow...very good but quikly

  • Thank you!

  • woo hoo!!! yes better! maybe if you did a rippled glass filter type effect on it, you could blend that for a uneven surface too... just a thought. good one!
