Bathory started around the same time, though Quorthon wrote a lot different stuff from Destruction, more evil and dark stuff until his "coming into belief", which was of course the old pagan belief, and he wrote damn good music in the two albums for that; then he got back to the roots with a few good straightforward death thrash albums, and then Blood On Ice from memories past. He took his time and released the Destroyer of Worlds, but Nordlands were his swansong, still waiting

@Simpson654 : Bathory and Destruction did write sort of the same lyrics, but Bathory made the lyrics as dark and evil as possible, especially Satan my Master and the whole Return... album!!! I think his first 4 albums were the freakin best. I didn't really like Twilight of the Gods and Hammerheart. I still need to listen to Requiem, Octagon, Blood on Ice and Destroyer of Worlds, though.

Btw, very awesome song, Total Disaster's one of the best Destruction songs ever produced!!!
