It's one thing to have raise some chickens on a real farm till a ripe old age, giving that chicken a full life in green fields and such. It's another to cram them into small spaces, torture them like they are machines, and then brutally slaughter them. Industrial meat farming is just pure evil.

Until we develop in vitro meat I hope that "civilized" society ban factory farms. But I doubt this will happen.

1:15 its a machine that slits their throats, but as you can see, the chickens in most slaughterhouses aren't stunned with a high enough voltage so they remain conscious trough most of the process, and sometimes the blade cuts their stomachs or doesn't cut them at all, and they go completely conscious in the boiling water. i know its sad, but this is how meat is mass produced at an affordable price... thankfully, the European commission is much more serious about animal cruelty that the FDA...

Okay so, this may not have been as bad if they didn't kill in masses like they do. We used to just kill one r two chickens at a time, and we used that energy to plow the feilds and scrub the clothes.
