  • Thank you so much. But for people like you, many would not even know that fantastic classics like this existed. Good day and God bless you.

  • Before the arrival of Saigal, two vocalists ruled the film industry..........K.C. Dey and Pankaj Mullick. Both had excellent voices. This composition of Pankaj Mullick is from film Kapal Kundla.

  • I remember my father sing the same song - piya milan ko jana -.. when i was just 5 years old. This music and takes me back to my 5 years age and reminds me lot about my father. who would sing those favourites includes - chale pawan ki chaal, and pritam aan milon...it brings old memmories back- Big size Radio, Grammo phone 1950s.-60s. It brings good old memmories back and revives lost and forgotton memmories.- AKL. DAR. TZ.

  • @ThePegasus411

just for the record: pritam aan milo is not Pankaj mullik's composition, although composed in this style. It is composed by the most ardent fan of Pankaj Mullik ji: viz. O P Nayyar and he got C H Atma to sing it to get the Saigal flavour. The song was recorded around 1948-49

  • In fifties, when my father bought phonegram, he brought this record along with other. Thanks for reviving those memories......I get lossed in those unforgetable memories..arunpagnis.

  • HiMohanram.

A million thanks! I had a 78 rpm of this ages ago ( the very first I ever purchased) and then lost it. I recently downloaded it from e-music but the quality of your version is better. A MILLION THANKS!

The period 1935 to 1947 was perhaps the acme of hindi film music perfection ( New Theatres and Bombay Talkies.) My mother was a playmate of Devika Rani. Those days will never come back again. I last saw Mrs. Chaudhri ( Devika's mother) in 1942 as a small boy.
