how I mentioned in the comments of your another video,I'll buy the GIGABYTE GA-H61M-D2P-B3 motherboard, and I have some problems with my motherboard:GIGABYTE GA-945GCMX-S2,it have IDE/PATA cable, and the motherboard that I'll buy don't have, what is IDE/PATA cable(it connected to the CD/DVD driver)?
@Jean11114 Unless you have an IDE (also known as PATA) drive you don't need an IDE cable. If you do have an IDE hard drive or DVD drive you can get an IDE cable for under $5 at most computer stores or online computer stores.
@estlib All of the information in our videos is out there for free. There is just so much useless or outdated info out there and the good, current stuff is spread around so far and wide it is difficult to know how to pull it all together. That is essentially what we have done. All the good, current useful info in one place and we are here to answer any questions or help with problems that come up. That is what you pay for.
Hey guys, I kind of need some help for my new motherboard, I found one, its like the exact same size and everything as my current one, should the risers be the same? They're both microATX's, and if it matters, my case is like mid sized. Thanks ;)
@hpcbdvd actualy they aren't any deeper holes. I think idioms why they are just bit taller. Maybe they are there to hold the motherboard in place while you screw ther rest of the screws. I can't explain it in a better way....
The CPU can be installed. Its best to install the CPU cooler after the motherboard is in the case because at that point it is risen off the case. The Intel CPU cool has pins that push through holes in the motherboard. If you try to install CPU cooler with the motherboard flat on a table the pins have no where to go.

I have 9 risers for my case but 2 of them are a bit taller from the 7 rest. Where do I use the 2 taller ones. Which holes?
zoisgs 1 year ago
@zoisgs I would look for holes that are slightly deeper into the case. What case do you have?
