Wow, is there land available? would love to raise my family like this. You are so fortunate to have your grandparents and parents with you. You My friend, are the rich one.
there is good side to it.: you enjoy fresh air, organic food, real drinking water, real milk, real eggs! Have you tried real organic produce? It tastes so good.!! So yeah - if you want to downshift for a while or improve you health go and live in Ukrainian village.
there is nothing wrong with this life, if a war ever breaks out these people will know how to survive, in the New York City maybe 80% would die as they have no clue to life without power, running water and corner food store
What's wrong with living like this? People are such snobs with their celebrity butt licking, hate of public transport etc. And I see high technology and renewable energy in here with this simpler life, too!
Great video again Belozer, but the comments from my fellow Americans makes me wonder how very little they know even of our country. My grandmother past away two ago near the young age of 101 here in Georgia living this image. My own mother didnt have electricity till she was 16. I suggest a few folks need to sell their Xbox and get out more.
It makes me appreciate what I have taken for granted all these years. Had I not seen this I would not have ever given common household appliances and high-tech a second thought. There is an unavoidable starkness that gives me pause for viewing economics, community, quality of life and survival in different facets. To write that this is just "Rural Ukraine" belies the patina of regional history that words do not do justice.
Bystiv is a Living Museum there living at many levels in Village. But in end it all linked to the Land everyone has gardens that how they live. It simpler life but hard work.
No offense... I am from Chernivtsiy and I haven't seen a great deal of people living in a style like this. It's a really nice video but I think it could give somewhat of a false impression about my country to people who don't understand.
That where I live In Ukraine, I have other stuff from Cites Yalta Odessa & Kiev & LVIV. Notice Title Ukraine Village life.I myself prefer Village to LVIV
Look at the collection as a whole this is normal where I am at. Just because I dont show new Gas Stations & Mcdonalds or new Supermarket that not interesting. There 6 cars in village my friend Igor has Jetta Nice care but still get water from well. It the way it has always been.
Look at the name it's a village iT#s totally different i have lived in Donezk and Kherson (big city and small vilage) a life in a vilage is very hard !!!
Man, with videos like this , people will belive that Ukraine is like you show :) .. Those images is little puzzle part of big picture.. Ukraine is big and beautifull country.. people from the west can find there many nice places that not exists now in west..
This is really not too different from life in parts of the USA just 50-60 yrs ago. In very remote areas, some live like this now. We're just ignorant of it because most of us have economic advantages. When Ukraine gains a successful economy, folks like us in Ukraine won't be able to imagine living like this. I'm proud to be from such strong people like this babushka. I'm as proud of her as if she were my own grandmother. We're a lot alike after all.
I am from Ukraine. Not all people that are there live this way. In big cities people live in apartments and have tv. computers, washing machines, and etc,.
Not to offend this is ukraine village life not soviet era Aprtment life. I lived in Cites in Ukaine as well. I prefere village you can control your own water & heating, In Apartment thy often turn water of a few hours a day hot water is only available holidays providing some one in block paid some utilites
HEY, YOU HAVE TO MENTION THAT YOU WERE SARCASTIC...cause some might think that a TV is a big deal in Ukraine after the huge series of these slander videos by one and only moron.
@martuletachka but you have runninh water 2 times a day and you even cannot water tailet paper but you throw it next to the shithole (coz you dont have toilets you stinkpots
Yes belozer, but that does'nt make the harsh reality any easier to see, & yet I cannot turn away. I wish her (their) life could be easier, less cold, more food, less harsh. Look how strong, she is! People in US could never do this, how hard she works, her hands cranking the water & twisting the laundry. I am sure this day was NOT so warm! Yet look how sweet her expression at the end of the scene. I LOVE this woman. That is why I am so sad, she is only one of many. Ukrainians are survivors!
Dear Babushka...how hard your life is...bent over your washboard to wash your clothes. What back breaking work that is. I can imagine how raw your hands are doing this in the brutal cold of Ukraine winter. I wish there was something I could do. Pray for Ukraine!
It always fascinates me how people in Ukrainian villages live. I have been to my BEST FRIENDS babooshka's village about 60 KM outside of Kiev twice. So rural and primitive compared to western life but as hipretty said "Ukrainians are survivors". Amazing. Returning to the USA makes me appreciate how "convenient" life and amenities are.
In my opinion, once you are accepted into the family of Ukrainians, they are extremely hostpitable and probably the best people on earth I have met :)
in Poland we have villages like these everywhere!!! lol
such nice, peaceful places. :)
