  • Not bad boy! The Celts of your smile on you and if you honor them further, they'll probably want you party with them in heaven upon your arrival!!!! that's all can say to you creator of this clip!!!!!

  • Nice pipes dude

  • Heck yeah. Pipe away dude and don't ever stop. :)

  • Really not a fan of the pipes, but well done young man.

  • Good show, young man! Found myself singing along... brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.

  • Good job man!

  • hella laryngoceles ( neck inflates when you fill the bag ), they are sacs of air created when you herniate your larynx. Permanent unless you have them surgically removed. I have em too but mine are from the trumpet...

  • You brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye, lad. Good for you!

  • Come back when you're older, kid.

No disrespect. Our local fire dept. has a pipe band that plays that at several local bars on St. Pat's Day, and you are NOT allowed in until you're 21. Sorry, that's the law. When you DO get that age, drop by Eugene OR and we'll drag you around.

  • First - Great job kid. Your doin just fine keep up the practice. Second - It takes alot of guts to post your performance for all the world to see, hats off to ya ;)

  • tough loss :( Go Jets

  • GAY!!!!!!!

  • sux

  • @JhonKjaer Surely, you don't think that you could possibly do any better.......do you? I doubt it, especially considering that you can't spell "sucks" correctly or even capitalize properly. You leave shame upon your family and your country.

  • This kid is awesome! 1) He's wearing a Jets shirt! 2) He plays the bagpipes!

  • Jets fan BOOOO!

  • good enough. I'm scheming on playing the drums. the tom tom. AYE. I know the beat of that drum well.

    It matches my violent heart.

  • I'll tell you without a bit of exageration that this was better done than some performances that I've heard at state occasions. Needs work? Sure. And you know it. Which is why you'll be a fine piper. You've got a great start, lad.

  • I think it's awesome!!! I love bagpipes.

  • wow thats really cool man im 16 and ive been wanting to learn em for a couple years now but ik theyre expensive. im just debating weather or not to really convince my parents are u glad u picked it up do u like playin it?

  • @LedZepp1193 Hell yea man

  • @LedZepp1193 I'm in the same boat, I really wanna learn to play, but i can't afford a set. Our school has a pipe band but my dad said i couldn't join it because of the summer camp...

  • my sisters fiance is part of the Stuart clan and is teaching me the pipes i loves them to death there really not that hard and fun to learn

  • an american playing bagpipes . . . woah.

  • thats awesome i would love to learn the bagpipes one day...on a scale of 1-10 how hard do you think it is

  • @Shrapnelhead I would say its a 5. I picked it up quick and it wasnt really that hard. I can only speak for myself though. Good Luck!

  • That was beautiful. Nice and loud too.

  • sounds great who the fuck cares if if you miss a note or two its fucking great

  • Brilliant!

  • Very good lad, sounds great to me!

  • Oui on sent la motivation plein pot, tuu joue au bagpipedepuis combien de temps?

  • I cant understand what yur sayin

  • I think he said he felt your motivation and wondered how long you've been playing

  • @lexandlounyk They say than can feel the motivation in ur playin and they wanna know how long you been playin the pipes man

  • @lexandlounyk That's because it's in French! (and their are typos!). He says he can sense the motivation (I think) and then he asks how long you've been playing.

  • well played lad

  • I just wanted to say....I think your pretty good. And that says a alot because I'm black.

  • ok....

  • Well done lad! You played with heart!

  • Where you from ? Long Island? what Band are you with ?

  • NJ...... AOH Pipes and Drums

  • o really. im from Orange County, NY AOH Pipes and Drums

  • It makes me proud to be scottish

  • oh!! there just scottish r they??

dont think so there is earlier reffrence to the pipes in ireland than scotland just google irish warpipe

  • yes and refrencaces to them in spain, but these are scottish bag pipes

  • It's good to see that there are still young people who will learn such an instrument. I've always wanted to learn, but being a smoker i doubt my lungs would hold up that long. Good job though mate and keep practicing.

  • My pipes sqawk sometimes going back to low A, at the exact time your did. Odd.

I would consider revamping your chord to allow more spacing between your drones.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Yup

  • not bad for young lad keep at it boy and yer be a piper yet.

    and of the finest yet!.

  • Thanks

  • nice pipe work keep that tune in your heart lad!

but little more work on the tune lad!.

    a great attempt

  • Thanks

  • My comment below is directed at some of the posts and not the video.

  • bagpipes are probably my favorite instrument, keep it up

  • Wow, good job, the pipes aren't the easiest instrument to master!

  • Thanks

  • I guess hes ok, make sure to practice doubelings

  • You have a false fingering in bar 2 going from High A to High G. Make sure you are playing and actual High g. You are leaving your ring finger down. Keep at it! How long have you been playing for?

  • At the time of the video I had been playing for around 7 months. Including the time it took to learn the chanter. Don't worry I'm better now.

  • A Jets fan and bagpiper. This kids going places! J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!

  • no downing u but embellshments are poor and a little freeze up on the 3 line. other thank that its ok. watch for those crossovers and play ur notes sharper

  • I know.....after a lot more practicing I'm better now.

  • Awesome!

  • just use the first bit of your playing it on mine

  • sure

  • can i use this to put at the beginning of minstrel boy.. im gonna record it.. just about one measure of it

  • What do you mean?

  • the bagpipes are one of the most difficult instruments to play

  • For me I picked it up quick, but I see other people that are having a harder time then I did.

  • take off the jets shirt and your bound to do better, not bad kid

  • LOL

  • NO! Keep that Jets shirt on!, haha , not bad at the pipes kid

  • a little squeaky on the high a's, drones a bit out of tune, and a couple bobbles, but overall not bad! keep practicing!

  • Your right, but keep in mind when I played that tune I had only been playing for 7 months.

  • i know the feeling, im about your age (19) and have been playing for about a year now. i should put up videos of me playing some good tunes. and i actually just played this one for a memorial day parade this morning, haha.

  • GREAT!!!!!!!

  • Great job~!

  • Lovely!

  • God bless you kiddo. I 'm jealous that I can't play the pipes. Any true Irishman gets choked up hearing this.

  • Drlove1490,

There bagpipes mate, any true irishman knows that the irish dont play em :) We play the uilleann pipes..

  • As a scotsman it irritates me to see Scottish style pipe band masquarading as Irish at things like the St Patricks day parades. This is not meant to be an insult it's just that it so false. I respect the Irish culture but the Irish Americans just seem to get it wrong. The bearskin hats (or busbys), the tartan kilts and the pipe bands are Scottish.

  • Agreed. Even as an American I've never understood how they get confused so easily.

  • Bagpiping is an important part of Irish history and culture. Yes the ridiculous costumes should NOT be worn by Irish pipers, but really that is just a salute and proof of the contribution the Scots have made to it. it dosent annoy Spanish people that Salsa dancers around the world wear the traditional dress so why i dont know why people like you give such a fuck

  • or even people that do martial arts. you have people of different cultures wearing clothing of Japan and Korea, but it dosent annoy them....

  • a great Irish patriot tune by the way, you nailed the grace notes

  • Not bad. I'm learning this song myself right now. The third line is a bit rough, but quite nice overall.
