@ingelke97 Yeh we came from australia us 3 gals and Bono heard we were there and said, We got people that have come from all over the place for this night even from australia. Of course we screamed. Went to the after party and we were given theses gold pendants, with the incription "when love comes to town" My most treasures possesion.

wow great!! I did not know of an after party! we just about made it back in time to our B&B as our flight out of Dublin back to Amsterdam was leaving first thing in the morning on New Year's Day... new day coming round... new day coming round.. tears in my eyes when taking of but oh so happy to have been there! I can imagine those pendants are your most treasured posession! you still living in Australia?? bet you looking forward to the shows there end of the year!

I was one of the home tapers too, got the free cassette box insert from Q magazine. Somewhere over the last 20 years I lost it, but the whole thing is still in my head. Such a joy to see thevideo for the first time - thanks.

And yet, I'm crying now, for the loss of all that optimism. We thought it was the end of history, but it wasn't.

Amazing to see this footage. "forget about the past, let's celebrate the future" I was also one of the many taping this off from the radio, at age of 15, listening to every detail. New decade, I was thinking I'm so old very soon..

i think you're missing small bit of audio at the start. Bono makes a small speech - something like "forget about the past, its the future that counts" and then he says where the streets have no name which you have on your clip

This is one of the moments I regret in this life for not having the chance to be there myself. Another one is when U2 gave their first concert in Mexico City.

I feel the exact same way in my heart and soul. This was such a magical time. Heh. I always get the hurt in my chest when I remember back then. Like I am now. If I could go back to that time, knowing full what I know now. Just to live again. It sucks to get old. It does.

hitched from greece to be at this gig paid 225 pounds for 2 ,16 pound tickets .and shook the touts hand and said you lucky bastard!!there were u2 fans from all over world there that night .everyone went fookin crazy when all you need is love faded into streets at 12.00 what a night still buzzin .

that evening is very symbolic.eightees have passed and U2 as we know it in its best, in some way,went to history.Bono's voice began to deteriorate and their music also would never reach stars again.i almost cried watching this video 'cos i know it was an end of an era......an era i love so much!!!
