  • knowing Lebo M's work "Hemna" is probably just rythmic.

  • Thumbs Up If You Think This Sounds Like A Prayer

  • Are there other African songs like this? Besides the other lion king ones? I wouldn't know where to look...

  • This song gives me hard nips every time. EVERY TIME, MAN.

  • more plz!

  • God bless u!!! u have no idea how estatic i am to finally get the lyrics to one of my all time fav. songs..... thank you soooo much.

  • I just love the beginning of this song!! The whole African sound makes me want to get up in dance!!

  • I CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG, I <3 THIS SONG AND THE LION KING!!!! THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD!!!

  • Is this song only in Zulu? I've read somewhere that LK songs were written in many languages. A mix of languages. Why they did that? I have no idea

  • @forlikeforever This particular song is only in Zulu (except for that weird "hemna" bit, I dunno what that is), and TLK songs are mostly in Zulu, Sesotho or both. For example "King of Pride Rock" features both, and "One by One" from the stage show is all Zulu except for 2 words that are inexplicably in Xhosa. I have no clue why so many different languages are mixed together, either, but I personally enjoy hearing all these different South African languages. :)

  • Hi Nantsingonyama, 2 things :D

does yer username mean enything specifik?

and Bo seems to be an expresion for us or ours so

Busa le liwze bo = rule our land. Or have I missed a point? ^^

  • @Cennetz24 My username comes from the song "Circle of Life", it is (grammatically incorrect) Zulu which means "here is a lion". And "bo" doesn't actually mean "ours" in Zulu. While "bo" is part of "theirs" in Zulu, grammatically the sentence is incomplete (it needs to be "busa leli zwe labo" - rule this land of theirs). To say "rule this land of ours" is "busa leli zwe lethu" . I believe "bo" is just a placeholder syllable, which there are lots of in TLK music. Thanks for the question! :)

  • @Nantsingonyama your welcome (-:

  • Thanks for the translations! This video was great! ;D

  • When I was watching Disney's The Lion King, I didnt really understand it and now I do, the song really means something to me. I totally love it now, thanks for uploading it.

  • eny one who can help me find the version of this one used in the movie Lion king?? plz ^.^

    btw nice with the translation^^

have you tried finding hemna or emna in a word book if such exists? :D

  • @Cennetz24 Glad you like the translation. I have tried thoroughly and repeatedly to find "hemna", "he mna" "hem na" "emna" and numerous other varients in not only Zulu, but also Sesotho, Swahili and Xhosa. If it is an actual word (I don't know that it is), it is not something that appears in my sources.

  • Oh and I love ur username btw ;)

  • I friggin love this song, and now I love it even more since I know what they're saying! thanks for the vid
