what bugs me slightly about this device is that it's made for 500W microwaves. Most US household micros are 1100 watts. Not at ALL sure how one would convert the times...

You would actually put the rice in first and then fill the water according to how many cups of rice you placed inside.

I've got a rice cooker that's looks exactly like this, except it's not hello kitty, and it's the best thing I ever bought. It takes like ten minutes tops to cook the rice.
