India is a country. It's residents are Indians. It's official language is Hindi (which is similar to Pakistan's official language, Urdu - which I happen to speak). India is rich in a ton of languages apart from Hindi, such as Tamil, Gujrati, Malayalam, and of course Punjabi.

Punjabi is a different language, but very similar to Hindi + Urdu, most of us can follow it and understand about 95%. Almost like a different accent/dialect. Sort of like American English + an English Cockney comparison.

@ViperShivaV1 No, you're of Indian origin, right? India is the country, a person from India is called Indian, Hindi is the language, and Hindu is the person who practices the religion of Hinduism. However, Jinder Mahal is originally from Punjab, India, so even though he is Indian, he can also be called Indian Punjabi to be more specific and he speaks Punjabi and he is most likely Sikh, which is a person who follows the religion of Sikhism.
