This mother is doing somthing amazing. She is teaching her daughter to read and learn. She is not pushing her child away she is playing with him. He wasn't upset or being hurt in any way.

The baby wants to attach to the mother and she pushes him away more than once. The baby's job in the first year is to attach to the mother and vice versa. Over-teaching is messing this developmental goal up! You can teach while bonding with your child but pushing him or her away when they reach out to you is just plain wrong. This baby might come see someone like me (a Child Therapist) in a few years because he won't do your bidding because you aren't do his bidding. He will soon give up.

It's a deception. The woman is holding the correct cards closer to the baby, that is why it's touching them and besides If it tries to touch the wrong card she doesn't let it. And actually the baby chooses a card not at all, it just all the time trying to catch her breast. It seems to be very hungry.

At the end of the film the baby even is opening its mouth trying to hold her nipple. She's not allowing the baby to eat. And she's forcing it to wave. She's saying so sharply: "wave". She's treating this child like a toy. I think it's disgusting.

@19Ind85 yes but the baby is still learning. when the mother doesnt let it touch the wrong card, then the baby will eventually register that that word does not connect with what was asked. She dies seem to be holding one a tad closer, but i believe the baby will recognize the letter shapes/legnthes/sounds if she keeps this up.

Not letting the baby get the wrong card shows the baby it made a mistake, thus learning that what she said corresponds to the other card.

In the hand & hair one, she made the mistake by letting the child grab the hair card and cheering when she said hand. Baby wont learn that way.

nope, she probably used a program called your baby can read. My mom did it with all of us and we were reading phonetically and not just by recognition by the time we were 2 and a half. It doesn't take a smart baby, just parents willing to dedicate 30 mins a day to learning. All babies are capable of reading
