I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Alfa Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
haha der Alfa liegt nicht schlechter als ein damaliger BMW 3,0 CSL also von daher ist das hier nur das Nachplappern alter Vorbehalte ohne je den Wagen gefahren zu haben! Der Alfa hat auf der Rolle 250 PS ohne Änderungen...das war damals die Elsitung eines 6,3 Liter V8 Mercedes!

Es stimmt fast alles, was im Bericht gesagtr wurde - bis auf den Vergleich mit dem Smallblock eines Amis... Man kann keinen Graugussmotor mit zentraler Nockenwelle und einen Alublock mit vier oben liegenen Nockenwellen vergleichen !!

to putting 1% two stroke oil into the fuel too, because the modern fuel contains
alcohol and acid, the modern 2 Stroke oil neutralizes these corrosion factors and
lubricates the carbs, tanks or / and injection systems also the upper cylinder parts.
2 Stroke oil cleans piston rings and combustion chambers too.
