Courageous cover of a beautiful Richard Manuel song. (Why wait more than halfway through to bring the majesty that is Lizz Wright's voice into the song? Her "call and response" is nice, but that harmony is TOO perfect. And why bury her in the mix?)

Great cover of the song;however,it doesnt have the haunting and chilling sound of high pitch pain Richard conveyed to everyone...........Then again.......I dont think anyone could.....he channeled into some dark place and nailed the song.

holy sh*t, that tapped in2 a very sweet smooth nice place from the past that can only be told in stories now. the past seems like a beautiful old friend that time can never steal no matter how much the mind fades or the body forgets. it makes me feel wise and very sure of heaven.

why did he bother? Compared to the truly staggering original version this is a just sad back of envelope sketch. if you texted me the lyrics I'd get far more out of it than this. Why is it always the great songs and movies that get remade when surely it's the bad ones that warranted the re-working...
