Watching McCain during that whole campaign was depressing as hell. Man, if Sarah Palin hadn't been there, McCain would have lost in a staggering landslide.
Thanks a lot McCain for screwing America. Why couldn't you stay out of the way, and let Romney save America from this socialist?
She just seemed like an utter idiot to me. Of course, I also liked how liberal Mccain was in a lot of ways, considering I'm a pretty odd republican. Considering, I don't believe in god, and believe gays should be able to do whatever the hell anyone else can.
Well, Sarah Palin is decidedly not an idiot. She's a successful governor and a fiscal conservative. Because she seemed to do bad in one interview, she was bombarded with ridicule. You think she's stupid because of what the liberal media said about her and the sound of her voice.
Gays get all the same benefits married couples do under the California Family Code. So it's not about benefits. Marriage is defined for a reason. Because it has a sacred definition.
FUCK religion. FUCK IT. Once again FUCK RELIGION. It should not be in any way shape or form part of any government decisions. There's no logical reason to stop gay marriage except for some religious mumbo jumbo.
Sarah Palin is not nearly as smart as you say she is, watching her in the debates was, well painful. She's the worst choice for VP I've seen in a long time. Plus she's not that successful. She had all of the experience of, a governor from Alaska...
(Sigh, I just ...) America don't need to think its potential anymore. America believe he is the greatest country in the world. He is not a sleeping giant because he has the most powerful military and economy in the world. You have to realize that there is a game to play in the world's arena and that is the fact. Most countries plays the same game. Some are moderate and some are strong. Those who cannot afford to play the game are usually the victims or will become dependent to his big brother.
Yes. There are many who also know the facts and there are also many people who don't understand. But you have to see that all of these people have different conclusion as well. It always depends on every individual's perspective. This is what I'm trying to show on the statement. You can observe in most elections that people's opinions are always divided close to 50%. Politicians are aware of this and they know that a good campaign can win the difference in many times.
This is the meeting point of our opinions. It seems to me that they underestimated the risk because they all focused their vision to a very high reward.
McLame complains about "cronyism"? John McCain was a "legacy" acceptance to the US Naval Academy because his father went there and was an officer. To prove his worth, John graduated exactly 894th place out of a graduating class of 899 students.
(News these days ...)Agree! That is the reason why I don't like war and I hate politicians. They lie and they are the cause of wars. I don't trust most of them. Politicians are politicians they have their own natural political minds. But on the other side, We need someone to run this government.
EXCUUSSE MEE!! I did not say he is a good president. I ask how people will view him if the calculation was correct and the war was finished in a few months. I just wan't to show you how people reacts to politics that they don't understand.
Yes their culture is different and so others who turned their country into democracy. A democratic country will evolve itself in time to fit to their own culture. They will have a congress that will never stop working for new laws. A good example is Japan that has the most unique culture in the world.
Hate will be reduced in time because the opinions in free speech will be always divided. The progress and modernization they have will make them adapted in new way of life.
I mentioned already that I'm not registered to vote. But in my own opinion, Disregarding all issues in their campaign. I still believe McCain is better for the job because of his experience.
I don't believe on any campaign issues on both sides. They are only part of their game to get the highest vote and worsened by the actions of media and the voters themselves.
Sorry mistake, The worst is almost over. That is what i meant.
It is true because last month is the lowest casualty on the record, The news are saying that most Iraqis are back to their normal life. They also claim that from sources in pentagon and from your favorite man Bush. ;-).. lol. that is a joke.
Bombing is almost gone. (only US do most of the time now)
You are very wrong here my friend. I said and will say again that I don't like this war. I'm just living in reality because i have the ability to see what is happening around me. I may not be always correct but I always depend on my observation and practicality. I said I'm a non-partisan and FYI I'm not even registered to vote because of my personal reason.
You are naive again my friend. They will not emphasize base. Politics remember? They are now negotiating the US to provide security and support. Iran understand this and are screaming right now.
Negotiations should be two ways or your prediction to backfire will be sure to happen. It should be fair and not reduced price. Good enough to have them trade with us. Don't get the idea of only oil. Trade will be on anything possible
I agree. There is a chance it may back fire but that is the risk and who knows? But I also mentioned a strong democratic government that can protect itself.
Benefits? Yes, On both sides because it will just happen once everything is stabilized in the new government. This is now a democratic government with freedom like us. Free enterprise, freedom of speech, etc.
In fact it is starting now. Some contracts about their oil program are signed to the British government.
Can't argue with this. You are correct. But I mentioned earlier that this is the best and only reason he can use.
In fact, he made a statement and also by some politicians before the war that in order to achieve stability in the middle east which is Americas vital interest, There should be a stable democratic country in the region. The region with the exception of Israel has mostly authoritarian government. cont.
It is a good reason but he need something that will be understood and accepted by the masses. IMO, People will not be so sensitive about the WMD and there is always other alibi to say in public if the war is quick and easy and will take only a few months. (This is only my opinion)
Many democrats want a deadline I'm not sure why but my guess is they are still not aware of the progress, or maybe just saying it for political campaign.
According to McCain, we will stay as long as needed.
According to development now they are negotiating with US for Iraq's security.
I will guess we will stay very long if security agreement is reached. It will be a permanent base. We discussed this before.
You don't have to worry about those difficulties in the past because it is almost over. Doe's not matter who will be in the office because Iraq is now in progress.
Or you can look this way,
There is no other Iraq with the same scenario to be invaded anymore. It will be a peaceful four years in the future even if you put Bush back in the office. That's my point of view.
Nope. We have been here before. I said I don't think it is a complete failure. Yes they were wrong in their calculation but looking on the present development in Iraq today, Progress is happening.
And I said my guess is Obama will not pull the troops if he is elected.
"Like playing russian roulette" You have to vision here that in the future The Democratic Iraq will become stable and strong with the help of USA. There is no question on the economic development because they have plenty of oil. Major trade with USA. (benefits? I mentioned McDonald, kentuky fried, coke, pepsi, agriculture, farm equip, Arm sales. contracts)
Hey man I cannot list everything here.
I mentioned and I repeat that people's mind can change in one generation or less.
I used china as an example of one generation to change because you questioned If Iraq will want something. But it is true that the mind of people can change in one generation. You may not have a full concept in this so you have to imagine what will happen if free enterprise system and freedom is allowed in any country.
Benefits? Didn't I mentioned some before? Of course you may not feel a strong impact for your own. But there are many.
I repeat, I'm not depending him. I don't support this kind of war. Every war will cost lives. This is why I don't like it. But I cannot close my eyes on everything I can see. I will recognize every negative and positive side of it. This is the way I am. This is why I am a non-partisan.
Let's make it clear. This is how I view it without involving my emotion and moral opinion. I said mistake right? To be clear, this mistake I was saying was the miscalculation of time the war will be finished. I'm not making moral judgement if the war is right or wrong. But I told you that I don't like war so I'm not depending Bush. I'm just seeing his intention and the possibilities.
I hope you understand. I'm just being realistic in my view.
Iraqi will want something because it will only take one generation of modern (western style) education to change their thinking my friend. There will be McDonalds there, Starbucks, Jack in the box, Kentucky Fried chicken, etc.
OMG... You are naive in these. Look at China now. They use to have a bicycle just one generation ago. Now many people are driving cars, using cell phones, computer, etc.
It is not an excuse... That will happen in free enterprise.
(Actually, I have seen president...2) Let me explain something on this one.
I said the president will not apologize because he will not accept to the world his mistake. He won't believe it was a mistake in the first place because it was a planned decission. He may say something unexpected happened that caused the war difficult. This is not to cover his own ass..This is to preserve the integrity of his country to the world. Never admit mistake! Stay in your principle! That is a president.
I'm not trying to excuse anything. I'm expressing my view.
Yes! There are benefits and it will last as long as the new democratic government of Iraq exist. It may last a hundred years or maybe more or less. It will be an Alliance now with its own money from oil, With the support of USA and allies. Freedom of enterprise, freedom of speech, education, with it's own strong military. They will vote their own president similar to US with congress, senate..etc.
You made me smile on this... Have you seen a president who invaded a country that will admit his mistake? OOps! Sorry! After he sent his full military forces in the region and conquer a whole nation?
(Then by these standards..) I said America will benefit in this war... I will leave it to you to figure out those benefits. I will just tell you that you are included in getting those benefits wether you like it or not. And that was the goal of it.
I don't really think it was a complete failure. I also mentioned what is the present development in Iraq today. It is late but it is happening now.
I mentioned that i will not make any judgement about the morality of our government decision to invade Iraq. The only thing I mentioned was that I'm sure America will benefit in this war. You just missed what I said. I also told you that I don't like war.
Don't get upset if I will tell you that America has been like this ever since. I'm sure you know your history.
(I'm sorry let me make..) You are not getting it my friend. You are only thinking justice but you are not considering the political consequence. I mentioned and will mention it again. The more popularity and importance you will give Osama, The more chance for him to become a martyr. You need more study in this subject my friend. There was an old saying... Kings don't kill kings.
You have to understand the politics. I repeat! You don't want to make him a martyr. I will repeat it again if needed.
The point is there was other political reasons for America to just stay and defend S. Vietnam. There was no objective to attack and destroy the enemy completely. This is a war that America was not allowed to win. Until the people here at home protest and caused America to pull out.
I cannot discuss Vietnam further my friend.. I think we are getting out of the main subject here.
That is your conclusion and most of the people now.
I mentioned it before that every president in his right mind will want this country straight. I believe on it 100%.
But the fact is they are all humans that are possible to make mistakes.
Sometimes they have to make a critical decisions that makes people divide in their opinions but the president have no other choice other than to choose only on side.
(Wait hold up we are talking about Bush here sir..)
I will not argue with your opinion here except that you are not accepting that it is not the intention of the president to capture Osama. "It is not inability".. "there is no intention".
Am I wasting my time here now?. I thought I said it before. Read again about the promise of these two candidates. They both said they will capture Osama if elected. Did you get the point? They said it because people want to hear it. That is all.
Then you are willing to spend military resources to find Osama that will not let himself captured alive. You will make an underdog more famous and more people will see his importance to be captured by a great superpower.
He is no dumb guy. He know exactly that it is better for his ideology to die in battle rather than being captured alive.
This is where you need a deeper perception. "He will become a martyr if he die in battle". You have to think what a dead martyr can do.
He don't need to recover his military power to suppress a small armed rebellion that hides in the mountain. They came out with their small arms expecting that America will support them. The support did not happen.
(You said "non valid") That is your own conclusion and not what really happened. Sadam played mind game with Iran about WMD and that was the fact.
I mentioned this before in my early discussion. Every president in the right mind will want this country straight. The problem is there are times that they can make a mistake in choosing the right decision. It was the miscalculation of "will be quick and easy" that caused too much trouble. It is easy to see what was the main objective in Iraq. I cannot make a moral comment about it but I'm sure it will benefit Americas interest if succeded.
We did not loose the war in Vietnam. We never lost any single battle there. What we lost was the support of our own people causing us to withdraw. You have to understand the political consequences here at home and in the world. That is also important. We lost the politics of it.
That will be depend on your personal logic. I cannot answer for yourself. or on how deep are the people's perception in the subject. That is the truth everywhere. Even in this campaign. All of the issues on both sides are just for the people who wants to listen. The only agenda is to get the highest vote.
Yes! It is very true that we or the politicians will say it this way to the people:
"We are fighting for truth and justice"
And the politician will express his own "correct" logic to the situation. And the people who want to listen will listen.. Just like what they do in the presidential campaign.
I agree completely that our intelligence was a problem but that is if Bush really believed in WMD. We are not even sure about that. Like I said, it is the only and best reason to say in public or in the world. Can you find anything that can be used as a reason to the public? I'm sure people around the world will scream if any of those on the scenario are used other than WMD.
Both politicians are saying they will capture Osama. Both of them promise the people in their campaign. In reality, No one will waste time and money to capture just one person that is hiding in the mountain.
Osama has his ideology that is very dangerous for the world peace. If Osama is captured and killed, He will become a martyr and more people will follow his footprint. To let him die quietly in the natural cause is better for the peace.
(Both politicians are saying they will capture Osama.)
In addition, Looking for Osama will be seen in the world that he is a very important person. This is a wrong way to handle him... I will not even mention his name in the media or in public if I'm the president. "He is not that important". I want people to forget him.
You are lost in the sequence of events... It was Iran/Iraq war before the gulf war. A few years had passed before The desert storm. The desert storm destroyed most of the military infrastructure of Iraq. Almost all of his tanks are destroyed and most military planes and pilots defected to Iran.
I listed in the scenario that WMD will be a good reason to the public for the invasion... Please let me know if there is any better reason to say in public and to the whole world.
The problem is Sadam continued to play the mind game of WMD and underestimated Bush. He did not expected Bush's agenda.
It caused bad image to the present administration.
I'm just wondering what will be the people's opinion if the administration was correct that it will be "quick and easy"? What if the war was finished in one or less than two years? Expenses and lost lives will be less isn't it? You think people will care about WMD that was not found? I bet the majority of Americans will see Bush like Reagan.. A great president.
In early campaign, Mc said America will look stupid to the world if we withraw prematurely. He even followed..We will stay as long as needed even if it takes a hundred year. I imagine quickly a permanent base in the region. This is America ever since the beginning. Bases all over the world. This is how America became superpower. FYI.
......cont. America need oil. Iraq has plenty of oil. If Iran invade America lost opportunity. We are still involve because we are there to watch the no fly zone. Bush, Cheney and Collin was there. They think it will be short and easy. RMD will be a good reason for public. Bush said lets rock. They find no WMD. The time calculation was wrong. The Scenario..
I'm not trying to rationalize the occupation of Iraq. I just believe that a proper withrawal is important.
We as a nation will be seen in the world as bunch of killers occupying other countries for nothing if we leave without victory. We should finish the job completely by helping the new government that we established to be ready to protect themselves before we leave. It will be morally wrong now if they are left alone while still vulnerable of being taken by other forces in the region.
It will be more selfish for us to leave without securing Iraq. The world will see the Americans are causing lives and resources for nothing. We have to show the world a purpose of occupying Iraq. Accomplishment is very important for Americas image to the world.
But please don't get me wrong. It doesn't mean that I support the invasion of Iraq.
I agree with everything you just said but there is a proper way to get out. We made so much mess in the area and it is our responsibility to clean up before we leave. You have to understand that the whole scenario of the war in Iraq have been changed from Sadam Hussain to the Taliban and Alqueda. We have to make sure that the new government we established in Iraq can defend themselves before we leave. It is our mess in the first place.
That will be the difference between us. I will agree to pull the troops as soon as possible only if the complete victory and security is achieved. Pulling the troops prematurely is a very bad idea. It will only create more problems and we don't want to be there again to fight a new war. You should understand exactly why US is in Iraq. The true reason may not be acceptable to many people but we have to face the fact that we are there now and we should do the best in this situation.
Disregarding bad issues in both sides campaign, I still don't want Obama to win because it is not a good idea for the government be controlled by a single party.
Obama supports an organization, Planned Parenthood, that continues to target poor, black mothers. The U.N.'s World Health Organization sterilizes black African women through inoculations. There's a worldwide effort to decimate Negroes.
my cousin is in iraq and he KNOWS that they should be down there you cant judge whether or not there should be war unless you talk to someone who is actually in it
I know about 15 people >:0 In school, they visit us and tell us about the benefits about joining the military and ask questions about what's going on.
Not to mention my big brother and my sisters boyfriend who are there as we speak! And yeah, sure there's good reasons for the war to continue but there's better reasons for it to end.
if obama doesnt care about babies, the most fragile and innocent life possible, how can he care for a whole country? obama is pro-death i want a president who doenst kill innocent people
1. There is NO reason to kill INNOCENT lives over a country that never really did anything to us.
2. Abortion is a personal choice. He's not saying 'Kill all the babies!' He's saying that if the mother thinks it's the way to go, he won't take away the choice.
And what does McCain care about? Power. That's it. He couldn't care less about our country!
shee1020 ....Everyone have some charisma to some extent. But observe that there are exceptionally charismatic people. Look at those in the history of infamous and charismatic people. There are many books that can help you. Reagan btw, Have a long record of being a governor of California.
The point I was trying to make here is there no evidence that suggests strong charisma is an automatic red flag for disaster. Many would argue that Ronald Reagan was exceptionally charismatic. He might have had a record for being governor of California, but he also had a long record of being a film actor.
What is your point here? It may not be automatic disaster to vote for him but do you want to take a chance for a person just full of charisma but indeed empty? No track record of accomplishment at all other than being proud of himself as a community organizer..... Wow! Was that the Acorn they are talking about?
And what does McCain have going for him, other than a long record of supporting Bush, when all Bush is doing is screwing our country over? Obama has a lot of great ideas, and where McCain may LOOK like he has great ideas, he only says what people want to hear.
Obama has great plans for our country, and charisma is really important for a President to have. They can influence people better and are able to really convince people. Obama is the way to go this election!
So you will vote Obama for his charisma. You are one of those who listen and believe that McCain is also Bush. And you will close your ears if McCain will speak. You will be one of Obama's blind follower. You are part of a single drum beat now.... You are scary. It reminds me of many infamous but charismatic people in the history.
ACTUALLY, (and don't assume anything) I closely follow the debates and I'll call bullshit when I see it.
If I COULD vote (I'm still too young) than I would vote because he has good plans for our country and isn't just after power. And yes, McCain would be just another Bush term.
I will listen to McCain and if he has ideas that appeal to me and my parents and my schoolmates, and I think he was best for our country (I have to live here too) I'd be supporting him. But he hasn't, so I don't.
I'm glad that you know that both of the candidates are just bulshetting right now. That is because of only one agenda. TO WIN! If you will ignore all the bullshit on both sides, Ask yourself what is left for Obama and McCain? Obama wiil be Obama with charisma and McCain will be a long time Public servant and a hero.
You don't know the true reason why our troop is in Iraq. Neither Democrat or Republican will say the true reason in public because the whole world will not like it. The problem is it was miscalculated.
Everything they say in campaign does not mean will happen when one of them become a president. As I said, The only agenda for their bullshitting now is to win. They do it because they both know that people listen.
Your granpa may not have a long experience in politics.
Plus he's dead and America might not elect a ghost..
The true reason? You mean how our wonderful government bombed our own people for their own gain? Of course they won't say that.
But Obama came close at the last debate. I know he said something about us being in Iraq when we don't have to.
At least Obama is more willing to come out and say it. Obviously he can't say it now, during the election, but the truth will come out, and hopefully Bush and his cronies will be locked up for war crimes.
It would be good if Obama can set America straight. And I think we both know that McCain won't do a bloody thing about it. He'll let Americans keep thinking that it was Iraq.
If you have a liberal mind, It won't be hard to understand that every president want this country straight. But sometimes someone F#@K Up. Shit happen you know. And I will not blame McCain for that.
I can't blame McCain for what's happened, but he could've at least put in his two cents, to get our people out of Iraq. It would've been only one vote out of many, but it would've told us where he stands on letting innocent lives be lost.
You don't understand this world my friend...You are still young... The war was for us. The problem was the miscalculation that the war will be quick and easy.
I understand that innocent men and women are dying out there because Bush wanted to finish what his daddy started. I understand that when I was in the second grade, we recieved a call saying that the Twin Towers were attacked and that I had to listen to a girl crying for the rest of the day, because her dad was killed. I understand that no matter what we do, we can never make it right. We can never get back those lives lost that day or since.
WMD, what proof did we have, other than Bush saying it?
We DON'T NEED OIL. If we turn to alternate fuels, we'll be fine. Wind power, solar power, all these renewable resources yet they still want oil which still releases greenhouse gases. We're not doing our country any favors.
You just said that now. But no one wants to drill before. Democrat or Republican. Now they are talking about it because they have to bullshit each other to win the election.
Our technology to make alternate fuel is still young my friend. And it cannot solve the whole problem.
Alternative power has been in rotation for about a quarter century. We don't need oil. wind and solar power are just two of the most promising alternative sources of power. These are not new sources, simply sources that have been overlooked because Washington favors Big Campaign Contributors such as the Oil Corporations, who own about 90% of Washington Officials. If we had implemented alternatives like wind and solar power 10 years ago, we'd be shitting power for the next 50 years by now.
ezgmusic11..... Yes to alternative energy. But I can see that you are dreaming today for the future. I can see that you are not a technical minded person or no engineering knowledge.
I also agree that it was overlooked because we should have it now if we started 10 or 15 years early. But now you are dreaming that these sources is a quick fix to the problem today. People cannot wait for ten years to drive their car or to cook, wash their clothes etc. Got it?
Your Boy, John Mccain spoke at a rally in Miami in 2006, standing shoulder to shoulder with accorn in support of everything they stood for...Its on youtube... I suggest you look at that before you start another attack on Obama for this accorn mess.
They forgot "that one." "That one" is a stand-in phrase for a personal or racial slur that a candidate is strongly thinking, but still has just enough verbal continence not to say out loud.

The progress and modernization they have will make them adapted in new way of life.
boyett5 3 years ago
(The terrible..2)
I mentioned already that I'm not registered to vote. But in my own opinion, Disregarding all issues in their campaign. I still believe McCain is better for the job because of his experience.
I don't believe on any campaign issues on both sides. They are only part of their game to get the highest vote and worsened by the actions of media and the voters themselves.
boyett5 3 years ago
(O.o Of course..2)
I believe if he really violated the law, The congress will impeach him. You have to realize that congress is controlled by the democrats.
boyett5 3 years ago
LOL! These campaign is just fooling people.
Yahoo news today:
"Iraq expects answer on security deal after US vote"
Iraq is so vital to Americas Interest. Obama will not pull out of Iraq.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Lol! I'm sorry..)
(only US do most of the time now)
US is winning the war.

I can't make comment on this either. He kept his mouth closed in this issue.
boyett5 3 years ago
(O.o Of course..)
No more comment on this.
boyett5 3 years ago
(What world..)
You are very wrong here my friend. I said and will say again that I don't like this war. I'm just living in reality because i have the ability to see what is happening around me. I may not be always correct but I always depend on my observation and practicality. I said I'm a non-partisan and FYI I'm not even registered to vote because of my personal reason.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Let me repeat..)
Your idea is more selfish now ;-)
boyett5 3 years ago
Ok, listen...
Some contracts about their oil program are signed to the British government.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Of course ..)
Can't argue with this. You are correct. But I mentioned earlier that this is the best and only reason he can use.
In fact, he made a statement and also by some politicians before the war that in order to achieve stability in the middle east which is Americas vital interest, There should be a stable democratic country in the region. The region with the exception of Israel has mostly authoritarian government. cont.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Of course..2)
cont.
It is a good reason but he need something that will be understood and accepted by the masses. IMO, People will not be so sensitive about the WMD and there is always other alibi to say in public if the war is quick and easy and will take only a few months. (This is only my opinion)
Or other wise,
I conclude that he believe that WMD is real.
boyett5 3 years ago
(No, forgive me ..)
Did You say "You never enter a country just you assumed something"? What was the reason?
I'm sure they are not WMD. I'm sure they will find a good reason for every scenario.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I understand..2)
Many democrats want a deadline I'm not sure why but my guess is they are still not aware of the progress, or maybe just saying it for political campaign.
According to McCain, we will stay as long as needed.
According to development now they are negotiating with US for Iraq's security.
I will guess we will stay very long if security agreement is reached. It will be a permanent base. We discussed this before.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Great then..2)
You don't have to worry about those difficulties in the past because it is almost over. Doe's not matter who will be in the office because Iraq is now in progress.
Or you can look this way,
There is no other Iraq with the same scenario to be invaded anymore. It will be a peaceful four years in the future even if you put Bush back in the office. That's my point of view.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I'm sure can name...)
Everything you are saying here is your point of view. You have to think why Bush is still in the office.
You may not like the next sentence but I will say it.
"You cannot prove that he was wrong. As a president, He made a decision and he did not violated the law".
boyett5 3 years ago
(Great then..)
Nope. We have been here before. I said I don't think it is a complete failure. Yes they were wrong in their calculation but looking on the present development in Iraq today, Progress is happening.
And I said my guess is Obama will not pull the troops if he is elected.
So as McCain.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I understand..)
I mentioned and I repeat that people's mind can change in one generation or less.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Once again you..)
I'm short in space..Sample: trade
boyett5 3 years ago
(Lets say for instance ..2)
I repeat, I'm not depending him. I don't support this kind of war. Every war will cost lives. This is why I don't like it. But I cannot close my eyes on everything I can see. I will recognize every negative and positive side of it. This is the way I am. This is why I am a non-partisan.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Lets say for instance...)
I'm just being realistic in my view.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Benefits?..2)
Iraqi will want something because it will only take one generation of modern (western style) education to change their thinking my friend. There will be McDonalds there, Starbucks, Jack in the box, Kentucky Fried chicken, etc.
OMG... You are naive in these. Look at China now. They use to have a bicycle just one generation ago. Now many people are driving cars, using cell phones, computer, etc.
It is not an excuse... That will happen in free enterprise.
boyett5 3 years ago
Actually, I have seen president...
I cannot agree with this. I cannot argue with this if you really believe that a president should apologize for a full invasion of a country.
BTW, In what mistake? Is it the miscalculation or the invasion itself?
boyett5 3 years ago
(Actually, I have seen president...2) Let me explain something on this one.
I said the president will not apologize because he will not accept to the world his mistake. He won't believe it was a mistake in the first place because it was a planned decission. He may say something unexpected happened that caused the war difficult. This is not to cover his own ass..This is to preserve the integrity of his country to the world. Never admit mistake! Stay in your principle! That is a president.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Benefits? really ..)
They will vote their own president similar to US with congress, senate..etc.
boyett5 3 years ago
For one he gassed ...
Im not getting your point here.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Of course mistakes ...)
You made me smile on this... Have you seen a president who invaded a country that will admit his mistake? OOps! Sorry! After he sent his full military forces in the region and conquer a whole nation?
You are showing you are young my friend.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Then by these standards..) I said America will benefit in this war... I will leave it to you to figure out those benefits. I will just tell you that you are included in getting those benefits wether you like it or not. And that was the goal of it.
I don't really think it was a complete failure. I also mentioned what is the present development in Iraq today. It is late but it is happening now.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Back to the same answer..)
I mentioned that i will not make any judgement about the morality of our government decision to invade Iraq. The only thing I mentioned was that I'm sure America will benefit in this war. You just missed what I said. I also told you that I don't like war.
Don't get upset if I will tell you that America has been like this ever since. I'm sure you know your history.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I'm sorry let me make..) You are not getting it my friend. You are only thinking justice but you are not considering the political consequence. I mentioned and will mention it again. The more popularity and importance you will give Osama, The more chance for him to become a martyr. You need more study in this subject my friend. There was an old saying... Kings don't kill kings.
You have to understand the politics. I repeat! You don't want to make him a martyr. I will repeat it again if needed.
boyett5 3 years ago
(You must mean we never..)
The point is there was other political reasons for America to just stay and defend S. Vietnam. There was no objective to attack and destroy the enemy completely. This is a war that America was not allowed to win. Until the people here at home protest and caused America to pull out.
I cannot discuss Vietnam further my friend.. I think we are getting out of the main subject here.
boyett5 3 years ago
(This president seemed more to tr..)
That is my view and cannot be changed.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Wait hold up we are talking about Bush here sir..)
I will not argue with your opinion here except that you are not accepting that it is not the intention of the president to capture Osama. "It is not inability".. "there is no intention".
Am I wasting my time here now?. I thought I said it before. Read again about the promise of these two candidates. They both said they will capture Osama if elected. Did you get the point? They said it because people want to hear it. That is all.
boyett5 3 years ago
(O yes and no ..)
After the fact they messed up it is a blunder. I agree.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Yea, that would be plausible..)
You are not getting it my friend. Back to the scenario: "Bush said lets rock"
After the fact they talked, planned, opinions, military advisors, political advisors, Chenney, Collins, democrat, republicans
then finally Bush will say it. All of these guys are wrong considering that it will be quick and easy. Wrong in their calculation.
Back to the same question of, What if the war was finished in six or twelve months? How do you think people will see Bush?
boyett5 3 years ago
(Are you out of your mind..)
I have same comment here from (what the...)
Deeper perception on what a dead martyr can do.
boyett5 3 years ago
(What the..)
You have to think what a dead martyr can do.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Realize..) I have say you are very wrong here.
Step in if Iran Invade? To what side? and why?
Two birds? What birds are we getting?
boyett5 3 years ago
(Let me ask you something..3)
I mentioned this before in my early discussion. Every president in the right mind will want this country straight. The problem is there are times that they can make a mistake in choosing the right decision. It was the miscalculation of "will be quick and easy" that caused too much trouble. It is easy to see what was the main objective in Iraq. I cannot make a moral comment about it but I'm sure it will benefit Americas interest if succeded.
boyett5 3 years ago
(This is if you read books..)
We did not loose the war in Vietnam. We never lost any single battle there. What we lost was the support of our own people causing us to withdraw. You have to understand the political consequences here at home and in the world. That is also important. We lost the politics of it.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Let me ask you something,..)
That will be depend on your personal logic. I cannot answer for yourself. or on how deep are the people's perception in the subject. That is the truth everywhere. Even in this campaign. All of the issues on both sides are just for the people who wants to listen. The only agenda is to get the highest vote.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Let me ask you something,..2)
Yes! It is very true that we or the politicians will say it this way to the people:
"We are fighting for truth and justice"
And the politician will express his own "correct" logic to the situation. And the people who want to listen will listen.. Just like what they do in the presidential campaign.
boyett5 3 years ago
(So by your standerds ..)
I agree completely that our intelligence was a problem but that is if Bush really believed in WMD. We are not even sure about that. Like I said, it is the only and best reason to say in public or in the world. Can you find anything that can be used as a reason to the public? I'm sure people around the world will scream if any of those on the scenario are used other than WMD.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I've heard this all before and..)
To let him die quietly in the natural cause is better for the peace.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Both politicians are saying they will capture Osama.)
In addition, Looking for Osama will be seen in the world that he is a very important person. This is a wrong way to handle him... I will not even mention his name in the media or in public if I'm the president. "He is not that important". I want people to forget him.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Also Iran was insecure of attacking Iraq..)
You are lost in the sequence of events... It was Iran/Iraq war before the gulf war. A few years had passed before The desert storm. The desert storm destroyed most of the military infrastructure of Iraq. Almost all of his tanks are destroyed and most military planes and pilots defected to Iran.
boyett5 3 years ago
My guess if Obama win this election....
HE WILL NOT PULL THE FORCES OUT FROM IRAQ
Just a guess.
The same with McCain
boyett5 3 years ago
I said two birds in one shot but there are many smaller birds.
Stability of the region is possible in the presence of a democratic government, (Just possible)
Alliance in the region is a deterrent.
Established freedom in the country.
Eliminated Sadam a constant irritation
A more stable middle east which is important for Americas oil interest.
I think Bush hate Sadam.
Im embarrashed to say this besides oil....contracts in iraq's redevelopments, arm sales.
Not to mention new trade partner.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Now I would admit that bases..)
I may be wrong but I'm sure it contributes to being a super power... England was once a super power until US became one.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Not really we would actually..)
You don't accept...NEVER ACCEPT! .. In the world that America became insane. Never and never to put that in the world history book.
Not even if it's true.
boyett5 3 years ago
(enough for the wmd's )
I listed in the scenario that WMD will be a good reason to the public for the invasion... Please let me know if there is any better reason to say in public and to the whole world.
The problem is Sadam continued to play the mind game of WMD and underestimated Bush. He did not expected Bush's agenda.
boyett5 3 years ago
(I've heard this all before.) We are not clean up service. But that is not the real goal.. I mentioned two birds in one shot so far but keep reading.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Yea, that is the governments..)
Agree.. Many lives, and money have lost.
A great president.
boyett5 3 years ago
(Sir, what I say is its not worth..)
I mentioned, "New democratic government capable to protect itself". A new alliance in the region is what I'm seeing here.
I'm assuming that you are aware of the present development in Iraq today.
Todays news: "Relaxed lifestyles show Baghdad extremists waning"
They are also negotiating the "security agreement" to USA... permanent base?
It seems two birds in one shot so far.. alliance, oil.
I repeat.. don't get me wrong... I don't like war.
boyett5 3 years ago
In early campaign, Mc said America will look stupid to the world if we withraw prematurely. He even followed..We will stay as long as needed even if it takes a hundred year. I imagine quickly a permanent base in the region. This is America ever since the beginning. Bases all over the world. This is how America became superpower. FYI.
boyett5 3 years ago
Other reason that you may not like is the fact that America made a huge investment in this war. I will not go to detail in these subject.
boyett5 3 years ago
Sadam Hussain was a dictator
Sadam Hussain has no public support in Iraq
Sadam Hussain has no Ally in the region.
He's military infrastructure was destroyed in the gulf war.
He was vulnerable to Iran.
He don't see America as the real enemy.
He believe his worst enemy was Iran.
He was insecured of being invaded by Iran.
He has to play mind game with Iran with WMD.
America believed Iraq has WMD. cont.....
boyett5 3 years ago
boyett5 3 years ago
I'm not trying to rationalize the occupation of Iraq. I just believe that a proper withrawal is important.
We as a nation will be seen in the world as bunch of killers occupying other countries for nothing if we leave without victory. We should finish the job completely by helping the new government that we established to be ready to protect themselves before we leave. It will be morally wrong now if they are left alone while still vulnerable of being taken by other forces in the region.
boyett5 3 years ago
It's an "unwinnable" situation in Iraq. There is no 'perfect' time to leave. You don't seem to get that.
paulpembroke 3 years ago
It will be more selfish for us to leave without securing Iraq. The world will see the Americans are causing lives and resources for nothing. We have to show the world a purpose of occupying Iraq. Accomplishment is very important for Americas image to the world.
But please don't get me wrong. It doesn't mean that I support the invasion of Iraq.
boyett5 3 years ago
I agree with everything you just said but there is a proper way to get out. We made so much mess in the area and it is our responsibility to clean up before we leave. You have to understand that the whole scenario of the war in Iraq have been changed from Sadam Hussain to the Taliban and Alqueda. We have to make sure that the new government we established in Iraq can defend themselves before we leave. It is our mess in the first place.
boyett5 3 years ago
That will be the difference between us. I will agree to pull the troops as soon as possible only if the complete victory and security is achieved. Pulling the troops prematurely is a very bad idea. It will only create more problems and we don't want to be there again to fight a new war. You should understand exactly why US is in Iraq. The true reason may not be acceptable to many people but we have to face the fact that we are there now and we should do the best in this situation.
boyett5 3 years ago
Disregarding bad issues in both sides campaign, I still don't want Obama to win because it is not a good idea for the government be controlled by a single party.
boyett5 3 years ago
KartusPaladin ... What kind of change do you want?
boyett5 3 years ago
I said Sadam was weak because his military infrastracture was destroyed in the Gulf war.
He has no ally in the reagion but please mention it if you know any.
It was not a stale mate because old Bush ordered the stop to the war.
I did not say people love Bush.
It will be for you to find the logical reason of invading Iraq.

Not to mention my big brother and my sisters boyfriend who are there as we speak! And yeah, sure there's good reasons for the war to continue but there's better reasons for it to end.
GoNaruHina 3 years ago
if obama doesnt care about babies, the most fragile and innocent life possible, how can he care for a whole country? obama is pro-death i want a president who doenst kill innocent people
eskielover27 3 years ago

Obama's charisma is all he have and he is winning. I'm worried so much about strong charisma of any politicians. Dangerous!
boyett5 3 years ago
boyett5,
Strong charisma is dangerous huh??? Do you remember Ronald Reagan?Would you say he was dangerous?
shee1020 3 years ago
shee1020 ....Everyone have some charisma to some extent. But observe that there are exceptionally charismatic people. Look at those in the history of infamous and charismatic people. There are many books that can help you. Reagan btw, Have a long record of being a governor of California.
boyett5 3 years ago
The point I was trying to make here is there no evidence that suggests strong charisma is an automatic red flag for disaster. Many would argue that Ronald Reagan was exceptionally charismatic. He might have had a record for being governor of California, but he also had a long record of being a film actor.
shee1020 3 years ago
What is your point here? It may not be automatic disaster to vote for him but do you want to take a chance for a person just full of charisma but indeed empty? No track record of accomplishment at all other than being proud of himself as a community organizer..... Wow! Was that the Acorn they are talking about?
boyett5 3 years ago
And what does McCain have going for him, other than a long record of supporting Bush, when all Bush is doing is screwing our country over? Obama has a lot of great ideas, and where McCain may LOOK like he has great ideas, he only says what people want to hear.
Obama has great plans for our country, and charisma is really important for a President to have. They can influence people better and are able to really convince people. Obama is the way to go this election!
hsmremixed0 3 years ago
So you will vote Obama for his charisma. You are one of those who listen and believe that McCain is also Bush. And you will close your ears if McCain will speak. You will be one of Obama's blind follower. You are part of a single drum beat now.... You are scary. It reminds me of many infamous but charismatic people in the history.
boyett5 3 years ago
ACTUALLY, (and don't assume anything) I closely follow the debates and I'll call bullshit when I see it.
If I COULD vote (I'm still too young) than I would vote because he has good plans for our country and isn't just after power. And yes, McCain would be just another Bush term.
I will listen to McCain and if he has ideas that appeal to me and my parents and my schoolmates, and I think he was best for our country (I have to live here too) I'd be supporting him. But he hasn't, so I don't.
hsmremixed0 3 years ago
I'm glad that you know that both of the candidates are just bulshetting right now. That is because of only one agenda. TO WIN! If you will ignore all the bullshit on both sides, Ask yourself what is left for Obama and McCain? Obama wiil be Obama with charisma and McCain will be a long time Public servant and a hero.
boyett5 3 years ago
Which he keeps bringing up.
Guess what? My Grandpa went to war too! Doesn't make him a great canidate(sp? too tired to check)
We've seen how McCain's plans keep changing, so that he says what people want to hear, not what he's going to do.
More times than not, he's voted FOR keeping our troops in Iraq, sending more troops in there, for raising taxes etc...)
Obama's all for equal rights too. That's important!
hsmremixed0 3 years ago
You don't know the true reason why our troop is in Iraq. Neither Democrat or Republican will say the true reason in public because the whole world will not like it. The problem is it was miscalculated.
Everything they say in campaign does not mean will happen when one of them become a president. As I said, The only agenda for their bullshitting now is to win. They do it because they both know that people listen.
Your granpa may not have a long experience in politics.
boyett5 3 years ago
Plus he's dead and America might not elect a ghost..
The true reason? You mean how our wonderful government bombed our own people for their own gain? Of course they won't say that.
But Obama came close at the last debate. I know he said something about us being in Iraq when we don't have to.
At least Obama is more willing to come out and say it. Obviously he can't say it now, during the election, but the truth will come out, and hopefully Bush and his cronies will be locked up for war crimes.
hsmremixed0 3 years ago

If you have a liberal mind, It won't be hard to understand that every president want this country straight. But sometimes someone F#@K Up. Shit happen you know. And I will not blame McCain for that.
boyett5 3 years ago
I can't blame McCain for what's happened, but he could've at least put in his two cents, to get our people out of Iraq. It would've been only one vote out of many, but it would've told us where he stands on letting innocent lives be lost.

You don't understand this world my friend...You are still young... The war was for us. The problem was the miscalculation that the war will be quick and easy.
boyett5 3 years ago
I understand that innocent men and women are dying out there because Bush wanted to finish what his daddy started. I understand that when I was in the second grade, we recieved a call saying that the Twin Towers were attacked and that I had to listen to a girl crying for the rest of the day, because her dad was killed. I understand that no matter what we do, we can never make it right. We can never get back those lives lost that day or since.
But we can tell America the truth at least.

NO NO NO NO!!! That is nonsense. OIL my friend.
1. Sadam was weak because of Gulf war.
2. He has no friend or ally in the reagion.
3' He is vulnerable to Iran.(his no.1 enemy.
4. He was a dictator and his own people don't like him.
5. We need Oil.
6. If Iran take him first, We loose the opportunity.
7. We spend money to maintain the No Fly Zone for nothing.
8. He was playing mind game to Iran of having WMD. because he was insecure Iran will invade.
9. We thought the WMD was true.
boyett5 3 years ago
WMD, what proof did we have, other than Bush saying it?
We DON'T NEED OIL. If we turn to alternate fuels, we'll be fine. Wind power, solar power, all these renewable resources yet they still want oil which still releases greenhouse gases. We're not doing our country any favors.
(sorry, I won't reply til morning. goin to bed!)
hsmremixed0 3 years ago
You just said that now. But no one wants to drill before. Democrat or Republican. Now they are talking about it because they have to bullshit each other to win the election.
Our technology to make alternate fuel is still young my friend. And it cannot solve the whole problem.
boyett5 3 years ago
WRONG!

Got it?

About WMD, Read again my friend.

boyett,
Your Boy, John Mccain spoke at a rally in Miami in 2006, standing shoulder to shoulder with accorn in support of everything they stood for...Its on youtube... I suggest you look at that before you start another attack on Obama for this accorn mess.
shee1020 3 years ago
They forgot "that one." "That one" is a stand-in phrase for a personal or racial slur that a candidate is strongly thinking, but still has just enough verbal continence not to say out loud.
