Face the facts the vast majority of the working class are now not socialists?.This is proven by the number of votes you get in elections, and hits on your videos. The working class has maved to the right and embraced capitalism.Nigel Farage is getting half a million hits on youtube europarl channel.Daniel Hannan gets 2 million. The momentum has changed. This is pure nostagia.
Do you hear Jane Kennedy at around 8.30 .Does she honestly think that ordinary people are stupid. As if people would see a sign saying "we're against job cuts" and vote for militant solely because of that.
Yes Jane because "most people" dont care or think about politics. I guess we dont have the brains and need to be told what to do and think. Her smug patronising tone when she says "people like me" makes me feel sick. Exactly what is wrong about new labour attitude.
His leaflet as an independent, 2010 : "Sadly I have found the majority, more often than not, put their party's interest and those of their own before that of the constituents of Wavertree..."
Jane Kennedy is a true right-wing social democrat. After the fall of the USSR she andthe Labour leadership introduced NEW LABOUR and see were it got Britain?
The Labour Party is no longer a workers party, thanks to people like Jane Kennedy and Tony Blair!
Is that the same Frank Dunne who stood in Liverpool for the Referndum Party in 1997, and also for the Tory Party in local elections and as an independent in 2010? If it is the same man then he's some Labour loyalist!
jane kennedy's main problem with the militant seems to be that they were proposing policies which really represented the aspirations of the people of liverpool. what the hell has she done to oppose cuts in jobs and services? instead she spouts disgusting condescension: "most people don't really think about it, it's people like me... (etc.)" or, just maybe, people wanted a change from your cynical kind of political careerism? we could do with more of that today in the labour movement!
The people in this documentary are horrid. Had the Labour Party won in 1992, then people like these would have been able to influence the supposedly "moderate" Labour MPs elected to parliament. At one point in this documentary a 'Cosmopolitan' reading Trot actually suggests that the "revolution" would cure AIDS, bring about an everlasting light bulb and produce cars that could run on water (all within a day of course).
Thank you for puting this on brings back merorys when I use to watch It we had It on video but was'nt a good copy also two of my family Members where In this
this video is all about what can be achieved when working class people stand shoulder to shoulder. when people are pushed out of a job and onto the dole queue, they know who is to blame, and it isn't other people in exactly the same situation who happen to be black, asian, gay or jewish.
YOUR HATRED AND DIVISIVE, DIRTY POLITICS ARE NOT WANTED HERE.
The Labour party was born out of the traditional organisations of the working class fighting for political emancipation. All three mainstream parties are now financed, officered and led by capitalists. The Labour party now supports privatisation, imperialism and speaks out against the ordinary worker of this country.
Cracking documentary. It's great to see so many working-class fighters organising in their local communities. The contemporary Left could learn a few things from them.
Brilliant! There's one outrageous comment by Jane Kennedy: When asked why Militant gained so much support she basically says that working class people are stupid and only 'professionals' like her really understand the issues.
Yeah, workers believed Militant were against cuts & said "We're against cuts too, without thinking it through"!
Kennedy - condescending class traitor
By her logic a worker agrees to lose his job & people dependent on council services lose services - obviously the best for everyone.
Marxists were involved in founding the Labour Party & were always accepted til the Tories & Labour right-wingers saw how socialism could replace capitalism & working class unity could protect jobs & services.

Frank Dunne - last seen in the Liverpool Conservative party circa 2006, believe it or not. The guy's been in every party going.

Thank God for Mrs Thatcher.

Militant comrades really going out and defending the working class.
