i have had a research about the 2011 elantra and i found out that the 1.6 will have 138 hp now thats gonna be fast .

Hyundai elantras arent slow. I beat a cold air SOHC Vtec Honda CR-X with my stock ass 01' hyundai elantra gls... Though honda is better than hyundai cause of vtec...

btw the new civic is not 142 it's a fake information and i checked the engine code myself and i know alot about honda than any other car and most of them is automatic tranny and i raced them alot and won,about the corrola i dont know but i dont think it's 142 hp

@HsamehH I own a 09 civic and its 124 hp not 140 as most ppl think, the 140 is the 1.8 version ,Honda in egypt is faking the information to make ppl think the car is pretty fast and power full, it might not be as fast as ppl think buts its still faster than ur elantra tho ,and for the new toyota corolla 1.6 its 124 hp not 142 ofc "also a fake information from toyota" , i have raced many and they also lose against the new civic.

@TheXmando yes mando the 09 civic is 124,this was a fun test with one of my friends and about the 09 civic i beat it day and night with my stock elantra,and my elantra have remapped ecu now giving around 14 hp+ and 20nm,so no way the civic race me,btw i am a honda tuner and tuned hondas over 350 hp,and i thought to give my elantra a try because i like the engine ;)

@HsamehH well if its remapped then u can beat my civic but once the elantra is stock it doesnt stand a chance i have beaten one on alex desert road last summer and it was fight to stay in my back after 170km/h and a normal elentra would nit near 210-220 my civic hits 225 on so5na ring road.. and most3ed 2agrab m3ak even tho its unfair cuz ur putting 14 more hp but still i have some works nd stuff so it might be close.

@TheXmando actually i beat stock with my stock ecu,i can flash back my original software anytime and race you ,i have beatin few civics and others with my stock car,my top speed was 230 kmh @ 6300 rpm,but didn't test after the remap,but i am not into racing with stocks it's just all for fun ,check my video with 2000cc elantra engine swap in accept and suzuki gti ;).

@HsamehH a stock elantra is 121 hp and 152.8 nm, and it weights 1171 kq, a stock civic FD4 1.6 is 124 hp and 153nm and it weights 1230kq. what would be the reason for an elantra to be faster, honda still have better gearing system.

Civic 1.6L 142 HP

Mazda 3 1.6L 123 HP

so in Egypt Elantra is not the best 1.6 engine

wow elantra is really slow, im pretty sure the d16z6 is the 2nd smallest engine honda designed. Its even a single cam, at most making 90whp, and its automatic.

it is still a 1.6 FULL COMPARABLE with the Elantra, However, the Elantra 1.6 Gama engine has 121 HP, the most powerfull 1.6 engine in the segment. Dont trust me?...check it...all 1.6 from TOYOTA, MAZDA, MITSUBISHI, HONDA AND NISSAN wont reach the 110 HP.

Hyundai Elantra, 1.6 litre, 121 HP Gamma Engine. There is no other car in the market with so much power from a 1.6 engine, except BMW with the 1.6 sport tuned engine in the BMW 116i, delivering 150 HP.

yes i already raced one with the elantra i won by fender a car till 155 kmh then the bmw pulled 2 cars infront of me on higher speed,that's gound enough for 1.6L car.

Yes, they have, and it is very nice!!...Accent 2007 1.6 ltr, 110HP...nice!!! More powerfull than Yaris or Lancer.
