  • fake

  • MOMOFUKU is Japanese word. But this owner is Korean. What a shit!

  • @nobordercool

He spent years in Japan working and learning to make ramen.

  • @at1212b

It's enacted a new law that Japanese restaurants must run by Japanese chef in West Europe. And it's a world trend. America is a backward country.

  • all the people who say this place is great is just retarded. affordable my ass he knows this shit is just ripped off cheap korean, chinese, japanese etc and overcharges it to a bunch of ignorant white people who want to feel like they are "diverse" or some shit. if youre to arrogant to get that then go to one of his places and check the type of crowd that eats there and well if that doesnt tell you something then shit youre really in denial then

  • @kazenokai515 I AGREE WITH YOU 100%

  • He never claimed the pork bun as his own. He just said it became their signature dish. Also, he even said he didn't claim to be an amazing chef.

  • This moron of an ass hole makes me gag. First of, affordable??? Did you forget that you charge almost $15 for a bowl of La-Mien(ramen) in watered-down broth. Then you claimed the pork bun as your own, when the pork bun is a street food I grew up with in Taiwan. I will give you as much credit as a brilliant opportunist/marketer, but do us all a favor, don't call youself a chef.

  • @PK292TSM just shut up ass hole .

  • no there is a difference between a good owner and an jack ass...He is a jack ass...

  • nice guy; would love to try his restaurants.

  • this guy is full of crap.

I heard his is the worst boss...I had friends work in his restaurants and they have said he is an azzhole.

  • @havoc151976 He may be a demanding boss; that is probably why he has the success he has, because he demands the best out of his staff. No one cares like an owner.

  • @havoc151976 yes yes yes .........gime a break , i have friends too , over there and they said the opposite..

  • Can't beat actual ramen from Japan. Plus it's a lot cheaper in Japan.

  • @chefkoo god will strike you to hell for saying that. apologize!

  • Ive eaten their twice both times ive had the pork buns and pork ramen

heaven is probably shit compared to this

  • i've been there

  • had a bad experience there,

noodles, crawfish, sake came out to a 350 dollar bill among 4 people

    woo hoo~ nice!

  • this looks great!

  • momo fuk u lolol get it "fuk u"

  • Yummy! We need one of these resturant out here in the high desert, CA. I will be eating there everyday =)

  • david chang is an amazing man

  • So it's like an American version of a Matsuya or a Yoshinoya fast food type joint. Looks sweet. Damn, now I want some.

  • that pork bun is a spin-off of the 800 year old famous Chinese dish Dong Po Pork, which is braised pork belly, you eat it with Chinese steam buns like a sandwich, with bok choy. when done right, the fat melts in your mouth without ever feeling greasy or oily. takes 3-4 hours to cook it.

  • Good job guys, i was there 3 months ago when i was in the us. I remeber your friend.

  • if it is tasty, completely no problem!

    is it really tasty?

  • been there ... awesome !

  • Where are you coming at?

First of all he's korean, not that it even makes a difference. Second, A Chinese can't open a Japanese Ramen Shop?

  • procomania you're an idiot

  • Gotta go to Momofuku

  • David Chang is one probably my favorite Chef, I never met him but I absolutely love his culinary philosophy, plus he is HOT, Hot with capitol letters HOT!!!!

  • I would love to try this. It is well known with my foodie pals.

  • this is the first multi-asian establishment which really makes dishes the RIGHT way. THe pork buns are great, but if you want a true authentic experience, you should order the mandu-gook.

It's a nice place, especially in New York, where the diversity of asian cuisine is pretty lacking.

  • this place is amazing. david chang makes no exaggerations. the place is tight really small lol!. the pork buns are great.

  • great place. defeinitely deserving of all the buzz.
