  • 1:00 Spurrier was so pissed...

  • this guy got drafted?

  • lol grossman is one of the best QBs in florida's history, his college career was incredible, dont compare it to his nfl career. this was the centers fault, not grossman

  • UGA faced a 3rd and 57 last night

  • @KingmanIII

On holding calls which were hard to justify on replay. Not sure of the reasoning, but it was all on the refs.

  • Wow this was not all entirely grossmans fault. Im so sick of people always hating on Grossman saying shit like "Grossman lost the superbowl" y don't u all just stop being so ignorant. Almost everyone on the bears including urlacher had a bad game that day so stop pinning it all on Grossman. And in this game...how the hell is this Grossman inflicting a self 3rd and 57. What about the shitty center and crap job of the offensive line for not blocking. Bigtime fail to the maker of this video.

  • @jakcsadasd this was def grossmans fault and yes he lost the superbowl

  • Those State jerseys are the BEST JEARSEYS OF ALL TIME PERIOD and the best choach of all time, we really need to bring back those jersey but we need Nike's OK to use them but GO DAWGS

  • Absolutely love it.

  • them taking the saftey was the dumbest thing of all

  • Fail.

  • muuuuuuuuyyyyyyyyyyyyyy pero muuuuuyyyyyyyyyyyyy gay

  • esto es gay

  • That was a nightmare that day I will never forget

  • In all honesty Rex Grossman was fun to watch in Spurrier's fun and gun offense. He was the first QB Spurrier had at UF with the million dollar arm (unlike Danny Wuerffel or Shane Matthews), and in 2001 he was unstoppable. He should've won the Heismen in 2001..... Its too bad Ron Zook ruined him (atleast at the college level anyway).

  • Damn someone got fired

  • TWILIGHT ZONE!!... Here in Starkville!!

  • For some unbenounced reason, I cannot fathom why he was even considered a Heisman candidate?

  • @1944ACE1944 How old are you? The next year in 2001 he should have won it. F Erik Crouch.

  • @bturner20 It's 'Eric.' And he was never in a 3rd and 57.

  • Poor Rex always being bashed because of bad teammates

  • I hate rex grossman and I hate florida. Your whole state sucks. I hope you fall into the ocean and die.

  • SEXY REXY! It's obv the center's fault.

  • Grossman was a great qb in collage but the center sucked

  • How long has Mike Pouncy been the center for florida?

  • What the fuck the its not his fault watch the center snap it

  • Its the center's fault

  • looks kinda like florida this year

  • Not Grossman fault...fuck the snapper

  • Not Grossman fault...fuck the snaper

  • More like "Shitty center from Florida consecutive high snaps"

  • David woodly, the fat guy who played for the skins in the early 70's,vince ferragamo, stan humphries.Cmon, those guys were worse than grossman.Grossman has great talent, but chicago just sucks in regards to o-lineman and recievers.Look at cutler, also the bears lost that sb because their defense couldn't stop indy, simple as that.

  • Wow I feel bad for grossman.... Fsu sucks go u of m!!!

  • wat a terrible snap

  • Florida still won the game, right? lol

  • Rex's fault or not, it was only a sign of things to come for him.

  • two horrible snaps!

  • That center is TERRIBLE! How do you snap the ball twice over the QB's head when you play for FLORIDA!?

  • the worst qb to ever play in the superbowl... haha go bears

  • I would have benched them both after that, the QB and the Center

  • ok sexy rexy sucks and all but those were some shitty snaps

  • just like his pro career....

  • lol, shotgun 3 straight times >.>

  • what year was this?

  • @dubhfionn 2000.

  • Why would they take the safety there? Just punt it out to the 50 and hope your D stonewalls them, and you're still down by 8.

  • @BigAlbinoDonky

    I agree totally.

  • @BigAlbinoDonk I absolutly don't get it.. i mean.. okey, take you offense out, they had a pretty bad drive but: why not bring in the punter? line up everyone in the middle and let them not block the punt.. i don't get it..

  • @Anubrogue

Well, the risk of the block is great when you only have ten yards to work with. A quick punt from the back of the endzone would setup a possible run back TD (dangerous place to punt). MSU would get the ball on Florida's 30 as opposed to their own 30 with the safety free kick, which would give them a greater chance to score 7 instead of 2. They needed a touchdown and a FG anyway with or without the safety so why do the risk? The safety was the best call. + bad snapper in the endzone!

  • @rufus566 You seem to overlook the fact, that we do now have third down. If you watch the MSU defense, they have 6 guys in the box and one corner lined up on the receiver at the top of the screen. So why don't you just run the ball here on 3rd down? You could even audible the play at the line, you don't have to bring an obvious running formation. Just give it to your halfback at let him gain a couple of yards.. and since the D is not expecting it, this should work. Then punt it on 4th down.

  • @Anubrogue

Um...No I did not overlook the fact that no play had a chance to make 57 yards and get a first down. No I did not overlook the fact that a fumble at the goal line would have been devastating, while a safety and free kick (especially if it makes no difference on the scoreboard) is better than the greatest punt a punter could give. Like I said last time the snapper was having problems, do you want him now to try a long snap to a punter? in the endzone? Please, the coach was right .

  • @rufus566 I think you would be right, but as far as I see it, he has to take another 5 yrd snap on 3rd down either way. Any as far as I know, you use to have a special long or deep snapper, who is not the comon center, especially not on the punt team, where you have to run downfield afterwards and tackle the returner. We normally use - and so do most NFL- teams a linebacker or a db to snap the ball on the punt. So it would have been a different snapper to take it...

  • @Anubrogue

NOT GETTING THE POINT! I have sufficiently argued why the coach was right in making the decision to take the safety in my two other posts. Please read them. If you still don't get it please consult your High School football coach or anybody with the deadly combination of football knowledge and reading skills. Or please read up on risk/reward ratio. Thank you, good day!

  • @rufus566 chill out boy, I don't wanna attack in any way. I just didn't realise you were refering to the long snapper. I see your other points, but there is OBVIOUSLY a difference on the scoreboard. At this moment, it's still a one possesion game. If you take the safety, you gotta score TWICE, and bring your long snapper out twice as well. I really don't understand why you are neglecting that point. But stick to your opinion if you want to.

  • @Anubrogue

31 - 23 = TD and a field goal (going for two against the MSU defense is how you loose games)

    33 - 23 = TD and a field goal

    38 - 23 = you loose

For Florida it was two possession all the way. Doing anything other than take the safety runs the great risk of it becoming a 3 possession game. A punt out of the endzone gives MSU a great chance to score a TD. A safety and a free kick saves the MSU TD and keeps it a legitimate two possession game. The safety was to protect their defense.

  • @rufus566 I see your point. If going for two is not an option in your eyes - and in the coach's eyes as well - you don't seem to put a lot of confidence into the variety of your playbook, your offense and your special teams. Your offense has to have another TD-drive either way, and the only one having some bad minutes was the center. But yeah, the whole thing appears more comprehensible to me.

  • jesus christ

as bad as Grossman is, who the hell is the center!?!

  • @FinalHeavenZero Grossman? Bad? You know he finished runner-up in Heisman voting, right? When was the last time you played QB in the NFL for a decade?

  • Grossman didn;t cause the 2 bad snaps he couldn't save even if he was greg maddux

  • wow, that center blows.

  • the center sucks

  • thats not rexs fault at all

  • lol... that is nothing. my old high school had 4th and 80 after penalties in a state playoff game

  • run then punt if you can or do a safty then on 4th not on 3rd

  • What did the bears see in him?

  • heisman potential and a ticket to the superbowl and probowl.............

  • it was the centers fault not grossman's

  • what the fuck was up with the safety call!!!!! who give a fuck if you oversnap it!!!!!!!! you are down 8 with 30 seconds left unless i read the clock wrong!!!!!!! WTF

  • Prior to the safety, they were down 8 with 9:30 to go.

  • shit, i thought it was 0:30, it ain't as bad he did it then but i would have never done it

  • That wasent Grossman's fault !

  • Should've just punted it on 3rd down. I didn't see what the point was with that one, turning it into a 2 possession game.

  • It's all about field position, He took the safety because had they punted, Miss St. would have likely had a shorter field to work with rather than a safety kickoff. Also, you don't ever want to be backed up all the way at your own goaline with a chance of your punt being blocked and recovered for a TD.

  • Good ole days at State

  • the center can't deep snap for shit!!!!!

  • Yeah, Grossman may suck but that wasn't his fault.

  • Oh my god...this video is horrible

    (Grossman that is)

  • I agree thats retarded to take the safety, run the ball up the middle and punt, save yourself the 2 points. You're punting the ball back to them anyways by taking a safety.

  • wtf y the safety? Thats giving up. Run the ball and punt it. if you get a safety that way it's still better than quyitting. If you punt it your D can maybe hold them. Better than safety AND giving them the ball.

  • you take the saftey bc your too deep in your own territory to punt you might get it blocked

  • i guess i understand, but eprsonally i would have just done a short play, but thats just me.

  • Grossman wasn't a good QB in college either.

  • are you serious. he was a heisman candidate

  • what a retarded statement.

  • not his fault

  • eh such a terrible game.

  • You suck Grossman!

  • Even though Grossman sucks, thats not his fault

  • thats not really his fault

  • hahahahahahahahahahhahahahah dumbass

  • isnt that the centers fault?

  • yes, that time it wasn't rex's butter finger's. the center hiked the ball too high.

  • the safety is not to bad of a call punting in this area with a bad center could be ugly besides if you punt way down here you give the other teamexcellent field position its a take 2 vs 7 situation

  • grossman was overated when he came out of college and when stuff happens like that in college ur NFL carrer would probly reflect off of it and thats why he never did anything as a starter and lost his job to kyle orton and who is now in denver and on the other side the bears have cutler so it worked out but in the end grossman isnt even relevent anymore so he may have been one of the bigger busts in the recent NFL draft picks by the bears

  • that's the center's fault not Rex's

  • lol i thought those kind of numbers only happened in NFL blitz

  • That's why he's a free agent now??? Both snaps were over his head!

  • can't u punt on 3rd down i do it all the time

  • and thats y he is a free agent now lol

  • whats the point of the intentional safety?

  • two bad consecutive snaps, it's better to give up two points rather than risk another bad snap and give up seven points

  • regardless of the safety it was still a two possession game and most definately the reason they took the safety.

  • Not so much. 31-23 is a touchdown and a two-point conversion.

  • intentionally giving the other team a safety does not make any sense at all. call an inside run and then punt the ball away. it's pretty much what they did except you don't have to give them 2 points.

  • i've nvr understood the intentional safety, the other team gets the ball back anyway, just punt b/c if it gets blocked that close it's gonna be a safety anyway

  • because. grossmans a little wus and he cant throw for crap.

  • can't throw for crap? throwing the deep ball is one of the few thing he's actually good at.

  • he can throw it down field, it might not be accurate, but he can get it down field

  • You can punt it on 3rd down, they should have

  • Damn

  • it was funny the second time

  • What the fuck, your really going to blame Rex for this? The damn center snapped it way too high. So fuck off

  • Grossman was horrible back then and he's horrible now. Watching him get that homosexual smirk knocked off his face for the better part of 60 minutes was a treat. Palmer and Grossman...heh, no wonder Spurrier left Florida.

  • Actually Grossman was pretty good as a freshmen...

  • 2nd in the heisman as a sophomore

  • suck a dick woof, kid destroyed the sec his sophomore year

  • The only thing he destroys is his boyfriend's sphincter muscles. As gay as a three dolla' bill son...

  • i would say a three dollar bill would be pretty cool to see...like those two dollar bills floating around

  • They've blamed Rex for EVERYTHING that everyone else has done... Why the fuck not, right?

  • @thenextrex8 yeah he kicked the ball 10 yards up field .

  • Did Mississippi State win the game?

  • Yeah.. 45 35 if im not mistaken.. Could be wrong about the score, but positive state won. That was when we actually had a team!!!

  • this is a bad snap, not Rex's fault

  • its prolly cuz hes only 6 foot. but u really cant blame ALL of it on him. ( im not a grossman fan at all. )

  • Good job Rax Grissman...

  • i grossman shud pull those snaps down but 2 very hi snaps in a row... jeez

  • horrible snaps but god damn, if he ever does that against a division opponent or in a postseason game hes dead

  • Notethat he cost them 10 yards by trying to pick it up instead of falling on it. So he gets some blame too.

  • @sfslickdawg they coulda had a 3rd and 47

  • I knew grossman sucks but DAMN!!

  • Rex Grossman does infact fucken suck ass but this was the centers fault obviously...horrible snaps

  • awful snaps....the 1st one was much more rexs fault than the 2nd one

  • awful snap

  • why the fuck did he run back for a saftey?!??! rex sucks but that was the centers fault.

  • Then again Rex is a tall midget

  • he ran back for the safety because there was no hope for a first down and they would have had to punt it and give away great field position to an MSU offense that was currently taking them to school.

  • As opposed to giving them 2 points and then giving them the ball back anyway? It really was a fucking stupid move...

  • uhh terrible snap

    cant blame him

  • looks like GRossman is playing for the other team. I HATE GROSSMAN. I cant even believe he's on the Bears

  • If the person who posted the video meant self inflicted, I hope he meant the center.

  • Center snapped it too high don't blame the QB for every little mistake there is in a game

  • BOO GATORS! go bulls!!!!!!!

  • Wow that was a horrible center he had lol . Why you guys blaming him in this video , it's the centers fault .

  • go bull!!!!!!! i hate the gators in fact i dont even like football!

  • haha, thats clumsy rex.

  • Who woulda thunk Earnest Graham turned out to be the better ball player in the NFL. Grossman sucks.

  • it's self inflicted by the center

  • Yeah he probably is the face of ignorance, booing is ignorant

  • Self-inflicted??? that is what we call a horrible snap my friend. There's plenty of real things to bash Grossman on but this is fleeting and stupid and obviously not his fault. if you're a bears fan, you should be ashamed of yourself. You're probably one of the people in the stands that boos their own QB which is classless and makes you way shittier than Rex Grossman. BEAR DOWN!!!

  • Thank you. People that bash Rex Grossman have no idea what they're talking about. Sure, he does mess up but no QB is perfect and he definitely has made some good passes despite having a maximum of 3 seconds to throw. Also, that center was horrible, rofl.

  • Classic Rex Grossman.

  • During that season.. People have to be consistent having a decent team or not especially at QB in my opinion. How many INT has he had in his time with us? There's some QB's that don't need a team and QB's that need a team. I bet he'd do a hell of a lot better with another team who is able to baby a QB who doesn't freak out when under pressure and throws dumb passes. I agree that Benson did suck and they fucked up by getting rid of Jones.

  • that dumbass took teh safety, haha

  • HOW IS THAT SELF INFLICTED YOU DUMBFUCKING CHODE SUCKER????

FUCKING PUSSIES, REX IS MENTALLY TOUGHER THAN ANY OF YOU PUSSIES, to got through all the criticism and still keep faith. FUCKIN HOMOS, get of Rex's back. HES THE BEST QB we have.

  • he did that on purpose so he would have more room to unleash the dragon

  • lmao the original Tebow!

  • im a diehard gator fan but rex sucked, rex just chunks it up there every single time

  • Still came in second on the Heisman ballots, and should have won it. When all of you shit talkers can do that, then you can talk

  • The only mistake he made was trying to pick it back up and everyone whos ever played football has told me it's a lot harder to pick up then it looks. Those snaps were so high Michael Jordan would have to jump for them.

  • some things never change.. he's such a fucking screw up.. he belongs in Arena football as a water boy.

  • you know very little about football. led the bears to be the highest scoring offense in 2006. 2007 cedric benson and the offensive line did NOTHING to help grossman's cause. if you have no running game to set up the pass, you're done before you start.

  • He led the Bears? Are you forgetting how many points the defense scored for him? I believe they had more points then Grossman did.

  • He threw 23 touchdown passes. He had 7 games with a QB rating over 100 (tied for most with only Peyton Manning, not bad company). You can't possibly be from Chicago because you'd know how good he was very often during that season.

  • If you knew anything about football you'd know that it's pointless to talk about a QB's rating for ONE game. That's like saying that a baseball player had 50 games where he batted .500

  • LMAO actually it's nothing alike. I was talking about 7 games, not ONE. 7 out of 16. To have 7 games out of 16 with a QB rating over 100 is outstanding, 23 touchdowns was alright in my book too (same amount of TDs Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning threw last season, actually). Don't worry about me, I know plenty about football, more than you've forgotten I'm sure.

  • lol aww, i wanted to his them go for it

  • I'll say this He's good at going backwards

  • bad snap

  • kinda like tony romo....only romo did improvise and got a first down xD

  • I was there for that game and let me just tell you all, as a Gator fan, that was pure hell and I still wake up having nightmares hearing cowbells!!! AWFUL!!!!

  • As a Florida State fan, I miss seeing that visor come off.

  • Oh wow, I remember this like yesterday. This game was unbelievable. Go STATE!

  • i know this wasn't rex's fault... but don't forget that he FUCKING SUCKS!

  • like your mother on the streets at night. rex has never had a team around him like all these top qbs do. put him on a team with real wideouts and a line and he destroys the league
