  • WHAT GUITAR PLUG IN IS THAT

  • great job!

  • wow great!

  • How do you split the drums into individual tracks?

  • @megaterra69 Yes, same question. How is that possible?

  • @megaterra69 record in channels..

  • @megaterra69 open ezdrummer mixer, click any Trk# in the output row and select multichannel.

Finally activate each output in the vst instrument panel (the last icon, near the voice "ezdrummer")

  • @fragarhtc Thanks man! Your response is a little late lol, figured it out 3 months ago! But thank you, as this is a great reminder!

  • good thing ma..

  • hi..does all of your songs drums are made of EZDRUMMER.? and guitar simulator..?

  • @Lemowez yeah now I'm using Steven Slate drums, Addictive Drums and Drumasonic drums , also NI Studio Drums

  • Is there a reason to record a STEREO guitar signal for the left and right? I mena, shouldnt it be 2xMONO signals? Cause then you lose half the channel's "volume" by hard panning a stereo guitar.

  • Love this video

  • Excellent job man!!! So simple, but so good!!

  • Also, how did you go about mapping the midi chart for the ezdummer? Did you use a midi keyboard or some other program like guitar pro to map the notes for the midi?

  • I'm trying to trigger via midi EZdrummer into cubase LE4 with an electronic drum set but i'm experiencing some problems. While recording everyting seems normal but while listening to the recorded track it seems like it loses some beats or like it leaves some chops behind, do u know how i could fix that?

  • @matblues2 did you try increasing latency a little bit?

  • dude .. AWESOME!!!

    thx

  • do you record one guitar riff on 2 channerl mixers?

  • you is the steve vai of cubase :D

  • did you create a "mini-master" with limiter etc for every group, ex. guitars, drums etc?

Im working my ass of in cubase now with the bands new songs and I have just started using EZ drummer

  • howd ya get each drum on ezdrummer its own channel in cubase? looks so much better and easier to EQ the drums that way

  • Professionals at work...wow!

  • @absenceoffear2008

Hiya, The roland td3 will be set up with different notes.... try scrolling through the kits to get to gm midi or something similar, if not you;ll have to edit the individual triggers on the td3 to different notes, for example a snare on ezdrummer might be triggered by note D1, so you need to set up your td3 to know when you hit your snare pad its note D1, it currently might be F#3 which might trigger a ride bell sound for example....

  • @absenceoffear2008 maybe your quantize settings are off... prolly cause you have on auto quantize. either turn that off of set the correct values for automatic quantize

  • wow thats really very loud ...... cool ........

  • Hello, very nice to your mix!

could tell me the name of that sound or what vst

used from 2 minutes and 27 seconds?

su can be grateful to talk to me

  • Could you email me the project file without the audio in it then I could open it up and have these settings instead of copying them all haha. Great tone!

  • How'd you seperate the drums into different channels? I use DFH, all the snares are garbage and tinny sounding

  • kapoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo escellettt my friends

  • Can you mix each separate drum when you have thrown the kit in cubase, protools etc. Or is it just the whole kit?

    Thanks!

  • With EZ Drummer, can you EQ each separate drum when you have thrown it in cubase or whatever. Or is it just the whole drumkit you can mix?

    Thanks!

  • Iv sent you an email with a couple of questions, please help me out bro....It'll get me sorted with my recording.

  • My songs don't sound as good as they do normally after I export the audio, what could I be doing wrong, I use a motu 2408 audio interface with cubase 4, while the program is open they sound really good but once I export them.... not so well

  • what is the name of guitar vst at 8.30 ?

  • guitar rig?

  • @andreacipriano

    Overloud TH1

    :)

  • @diminalbantov You sound like Satriani on your solo track !!

  • ..yukl

  • How does he get that huge mixer? On my Cubase, all i get is the faders.

  • @segers41 do you have cubase LE or just standard cubase?

  • @segers41 The huge mixer is part of EZDrummer / Overloud (read video title). These programs are plug-ins for Cubase (seperate bits of software). You must install these seperately and they can be accessed from VST Instruments inside Cubase. You can assign tracks to use these plugins.

I'm probably not explaining it too well, but if you check out some of the keywords I've used like 'VST Instruments' & plugins, you should be able to find a youtube tutorial which explains it all for you.

  • actually thats incorrect, the large mixer is just the expanded Cubase mixer, which by default, does not come expanded.

  • @segers41 to the very left top of your mixing strip there are 2 small arrows, 1 up and 1 down, try clicking them ;) now you have the 'huge mixer" not just the faders

  • @segers41 Somewhere on the left bottom corner of the mixer window, there should be a "extended view" button or something like that.

  • im DEFINITELY hearing some Petrucci and Vai influence here, especially in the solo. sounds AWESOME man

  • learning by watching

  • I thought this was a tutorial

  • @KalierMC it doesn't say anywhere that this is a tutorial

  • what are the plugins for?

  • awsome. How do you split ezdummer to multitrack like that?

  • yeah... i how'd u split them man? but im using reaper.

  • load it as a stereo multi-track on your DAW then go into the mixer of ezdrummer and you can reassign the outputs from there

  • Is the bass a VST or real?

  • Real :)

  • VERY NICE! I am getting ready to order Ez drummer now for use with my new V DRUMS!

  • dimi need some help bro, I dont know from where I can download ezdrummer, and how I can use it

  • I dont think you can d/l EZD.You need to buy the first release of EZD before you can use all of the other expansion paks.EZD is software which you can buy @ your local music store. Toontrack makes the EZ series. So just google Toontrack

  • there are download links out there

  • Genial,eres un maestro.

  • very good! CUBASE

  • Good works What is the synth pad vsti name ?

    thanks

Do you have the full song for download?

  • Митак, напрамо ми отнесе главата с тоя видео-урок. Толкова прости неща правиш и ти се получава. :) Направо лудница!

  • Nice work....I got the same question as dirtbikefreak942. When I try to put each drum to the separate channel I can hear only trk1 playing...what kind of tracks I have to add to play all the drums?

  • whats that for a filer?

  • i have another question, how do you get each mic in EZdrummer on its own track?

  • in Ez Mixer just click multichanel and automaticly will go to each individual channel in cubase

  • Thanks, helped me a load i see the concept behind it (re-labeled all the tracks in order instead of all track1) but when i open the mixer i still have just the one channel strip :(.. probably a really newbie mistake but any help would be greatly appreciated

Im about to start fresh and see if its because i already programmed some drums with the EZmixer set to all track 1.

  • Whart iss thees Eesee Drummar pleeze?

  • F3. IF you gave the full Cubase 4

  • GJ! You set 2 Gclips instead of one?? I can't figure out why...

  • more gain

  • Hi! Sounds amazing to me! Could some1 pls show me some good tutorials about mixing rock music with Cubase? I've been experimenting for a little while now (you can listen to 2 pieces of music on my channel), but there are still a few things, that I don't understand. For example, I don't know, what exactly is a clipper, or how to use a compressor-limiter correctly. I think, my 2 songs that you can listen to are good quality for a "demo", but the sound that I heard on this vid, is much better!

  • Hi Dimi :) You're damn good at mixing :) it was quick and sounds perfect to me hihihi.

What Guitar VST did you use? sounds good too me ^^

Can u make some tutorial on mixing ^^

  • I'm using real guitar and overloud TH1 for amp simulation

  • I really love your music and I'm also working with audio mixing... I'd like to know if you have any links where I can download that music you are playing in the video? (MP3 or Cubase Formats)... Really appreciate it, thanks in advance.

  • It is a working version of a tune for my next album...

    Dimi

  • good job

  • Thank you!

  • Great one dude,

i will try out some of your workflows @ home later. thx

  • I just got Ezdrummer and Cubase, how do I get ezdrummer IN cubase? I'm not sure how to open the plugin

  • MAgix music maker 15 permium is better??

    Please reply !

  • I'm not sure.

But Cubase is 500$. Music Maker is $42

  • no it isnt

  • Great work!!

Did you use Overloud to simulate the lead guitar distorcion and effects?

  • Yes, it is TH1 :)

  • Awesome, the lead is killer...owns!

  • hey man a love the pad ti´s nexus right?

    what pacht is this?

    thanks nice job

  • where can i download this?

  • How do you map the EZdrummer channels to the main faders in cubase/sonar like that ?

  • On Ez Drummer select multichannel in the EZ Mixer.

  • I didn't see this option on EZ mixer, could you tell me where exactly it is?

  • Dude, I used this video as a guide to help me get better EQ settings for some songs I've been working on and it helped my mix immensely! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. It's been a fantastic help!

  • can you use this on a laptop?

  • yes!

  • I wish I could see the eq settings. That would help.

  • I learned more in 10 min from watching that than from most of these "engineers" who like to sit in front of a console talking for 20 min and your left saying," uh, well good for you but show us how you do it if you're done talking about your philosophy."

    Thanks

  • this is perfect!!!

  • greetings!

    Sounds pretty cool!

whats the name of the song, is already in any of your albums?

BTW, in this vid you never activate the Tls 3127 Leveling Amplifier and I was trying to find your EQ in the master channel but...

    Keep the good work!

  • hey, how do you do to open the Overloud in the cubse?? i dont have any .dll file..

  • and btw i just wanna hear what you made, :P

  • esto apesta .. pegate un tiro

  • everything is great for the sound of the bass...sounds like shit man!

  • FUCK!!! algun dia podre hacer eso???? ... MI DIOS!!! cuantas cosas por aprender..T^T

  • just wondering is there a way to separate the snare bass splashes and all the others

after putting them in one track

i mean i record everything with a keyboard

and i got a track of the beat i want

so now i need to open new tracks and copy paste the drums for each other or is there a way to just select what you want

and give some command and it will open a track with the selected midi by itself

  • you can do two things...

    1. go in and cut/paste the notes for each item you want to move to a new track (cymbals, etc)

    2. in EZdrummer, send the separate cymbals, snare to new audio tracks (you can change the ouputs in the EZdrummer mixer) then bounce these midi > audio to get a wav version

#1 is better for you i think. hope that helps.

  • When recording vocals on cubase 4 can you over dub recorded vocals on 1 vocal track instead of using multiple tracks?

  • yeah, it is possible!

    With multiple takes.

  • what cubase Version is this ? 4 or something :P ?

  • very nice layout on this program = )

  • Where I can find this Quick mix ?

  • man , how do u separate the snare , bass drum and each part of the drum set and EQ one by one ??

  • Comment removed

  • click on devices

    select VST instruments

    open EZ drummer

in EZ drummer click on mixer

in the mixer click on trk 1 in the output line of the kick and select multichannel

In cubase still on the VST window

click on the arrow pointing right next to the e

    click on activate all outputs

you should have all your drums in the mixer including the mics from EZ

  • go down the project window select the drum you want and do what you want to it.

THAT HAS TAKEN ME SINCE WEDNESDAY TO WORK THAT OUT. The EZ intructions are pants. The toontrack web page has the solution it, but its not easy to find.

  • you get what you pay for! ;)

  • No mac here. I'm with Core Duo 6750 8GB of ram and Gigabyte P35 main board. I have tried Leopard .10.5.5 it works great but didn't like it.
