  • @xoclkox when i do high notes i dont feel vibration on my head when i do low note i dont feel vibration on my chest?

  • lol! i have a girl at my school who has a freakin' HIGH PITCHED voice and she is REALLY annoing!!!

  • @midnalove1 not as bad as a girl with green teeth trying to come onto u all the time

  • Whatever you've said in the video, I knew it before.. Well when you sang in high scale, U used your false set of voice.. Can you make a tutorial how to sing high scale in normal voice and not in false voice. You've heard Katy Perry do it in her songs.. She has two sets of voice. :)

  • Good guide.

Question: How do you deal with exhaustion? I've often sung Epica and Nightwish songs, but have felt pretty damned exhausted afterwards and slightly euphoric. It doesn't hurt (though sometimes if I go too high my voice gets scratchy.)

  • I HEARD TRANS SIBERIAN IN THE BACKGROUND. Which means I am a fan of yours. :)

  • I drink a small portion of olive oil before I sing. It smoothens out my voice and stops it from being harsh and hurting. But I also drink heaps of water. The olive oil lubricates the vocal chords and help sing higher and lower without your voice starting to crap up.

  • I hope i was there near to you so i can ask you to be my vocal teacher.. :3 lol.

  • Skillet background! Forsaken!

  • it reaally , does help if you drink water like @imawesome722 said .<3

  • OMG!!!! As soon as you said drink water, i did, and as soon as you said use your head voice i tried it and now i can sing high notes. Thanks.

  • AHHH!!!! TOKIO HOTEL @ 2:40! LOVE THAT SONG!!

  • hey drinking hot or cold water is better??

  • Scream in the background :D <3

  • Helps being born a soprano x)

  • lol u r funny

  • what the song playing in the background from 3 15 to 3 41 ???

  • Something i find, which seems to make a lot of sense... drinking cold water before performing can actually make it more difficult to sing higher as the cold tightens up the throat. Drinking something warm helps it relax, therefore making it easier. As odd or strange as it might sound, when i'm on stage, i always ask for hot water. Try it yourself, after drinking a coffee, you'll find that your vocal comfort span is much wider than it is after a glass of ice cold water.

  • @TheScorpion667

    thanks a lot! :D

  • every time i can sing high notes but it's the certain note that goes really high so i just say oh my god and give up now my throats hurting cause i've tried it 10 times i had a ear ache earlier as well cause i was singing to load the neighbours must be deafened by now

  • Woah.. in the beginning, its Tran-siberrian orchestra!!!!

  • Do you really have to drink flat water or is crystal clear okay too?

  • Lol, what was the intro song?

  • @victoriaisntsosecret Korn "coming undone"

  • hi, really nice tips! although I have a question: well , my voice when I sing gets shaky :S.. do you know why? and how can I fixe it? .. PLEASE PLEEEAASE ANSWER BACK!! really begging you :(

  • Its also much easier to sing when you sing from your diaphragm

  • DONT BE PLAYIN LOUD MUSIC AT ME LIKE DHAT

  • WITHIN TEMPTATION! :D

  • @_@

  • i love alcohol... cause when you add alcohol into your falsett, it gives you much more dirty and cool voice

  • my voice teacher trains opera singers and he said that the vibrations are in the "mask"- certains areas in front of the face NOT in the temples.. and you need to find that point while you apply appoggio (italian technique) and training the muscles of the larynx to keep them always relax. When you can do that, the sound travels freely and resonates in the mask. I hear you have some issues, cuz your high notes have a little resonance. hope this helps.

  • Tits or GTFO

  • @TheAispuro2 Stop being a douche -__-

  • I sing with mezzosoprano in folk rock/metal band and I have been in 2 choirs before, so I learnt how to sing high notes and now, even when I am drunk I am not sining out of tune, so amaizing! ; D

  • i sing heavy metal/hard rock (ima dude) i can hit a high F and all the low notes but i cant transition in a line without completely sounding like a drop off in my voice

  • what voice type am i if my range is from F1-D#5 am i a baritone? tenor? bass? what am i?

  • That was really cool....I mean.... I have recently joined the choir and i'm singing the part of 1st Tenor. My vocal range is quite okay, but actually never had any vocal techniques.. Especially the tips not to hurt yourself, using the body and head voice, and drinking water were very very helpfull. You explained everything very patienly with a sense of humor. Liked that very much. Thanks,

    Jeff from Cologne, Germany.

  • she's right about singing high note songs to warm up. i sing flyleaf"life" before i really sing and its a really good warm up

  • Whoa, you're the girl who likes Eric Whitacre! Haha, I feel like I know you from seeing you on his Facebook page so much. This video helped me a lot. I'm a straight-up alto and it takes a lot of energy for me to sing high notes well.

  • you help me aalot with singing i dont no how to thank you just omg thank you sooooooooooo much i give you much loe for this and your very pretty to

  • ur pretty ! :D

  • I will learn Queensryche, Geoff sings pretty high. Brilliant video thanks much

  • wow, you listen to tokio hotel? cool

  • NOTHIN tastes better then a cold bottle of water when your thirsty!

  • Actually you can train yourself to be able to stay in your chest voice longer because if you go in your head voice too quickly, you sound like crap. And that even helped me get from as low to an E1 to as high as an E5. I usually switch to my head voice around D4.

  • it's funny, but water is heavy on my stomach... i will still try!!!

  • nice i ve been trying to sing red songs like nothing and everything and skillet songs like whispers in the dark

  • I love the Tokio Hotel in the background:)

  • Hey, this is really great. I sing quite high normally but it was interesting to hear some of your tips. I laughed when I read your list of bands/singers. I sing almost all of them, except Mariah Carey maybe. I do have a habit of hurting myself though like you said and I realise I have to stop that. I've noticed that just from practicing stuff like Phantom of the Opera and stopping when I begin to hurt, it really has increased the height of my voice, anyway, thanks for this, very insightful. :)

  • man for a man the most diffcult songs are the songs of michael jackson, NO MAN IN THIS WORLD CAN SING SO HIGH LIKE MICHAEL JACKON DID!

  • Tokio hotel. ;D

  • thank you you helped alot

  • Hey, I can't do high notes. My voice screeches and strains when I try to. It's really difficuilt. It's like I can't physically do it. What can I do to help this? I have a passion in singing and do it all the time when I'm alone. I've tried leaning the guitar so I could pursue this small talent I have. I know I'm not good, but I'm fair at singing. Enough for me to enjoy it. Some adivce? Thank you.

  • THANKYOU VERY MUCH

  • i heard korn so i most deffinitley could not leave this video:)

  • Now going to speak in high voice today onwards :)

  • Thank you soooo much!! this helped me get into my high school choir!!!

  • Sing Freddie Mercury !

  • I have horrible trouble singing in between chest and head, I can sing really high and in my chest voice but not that area in between...bahhh!

  • how do people establish what range they are? Like what does A5-F# or whatever mean?

  • @Defender78 A5 means the note La (you know - do re mi fa sol la si do) in the 5 octave wich is above middle C, in a piano, F is Fa and with the # means sharp, it goes like this, la is A, si is B, do is C, re is D, mi is E, fa is F, sol is G and in here you start all over again... You can stablish your range with a really good singing teacher who will have you sing along with a piano, diferent scales, harmonies..., to determinate your pitch, how high or low can you go, etc. Hope this helps :P

  • I can hit three octaves and i'm a guy, is that range average? bellow average? or a little above average?

  • omg!!! thank u so oo much! u rock!

  • your beautiful :)

  • My Dad could sing well and he hated water. But I like to sing and I like water

  • water is the drink of life

  • @destiniser So right!

  • I thought it depends on the vocal range of each person!! I didn't know that everyone can sing high notes no matter what... :/

  • Thank u!! :)

  • alright, i love it already atnd i haven't even got to the actual video yet,

first she uses wizards in winter,

    then she uses coming undone

just goes to show she has good taste in music,

  • Omg you are so funny :D

  • lol ya high pitched voices are annoying

  • lol i love water

  • What songs are playing in this vid? I like them, and this video really helps! :D x

  • OMG...i need to drink lotsa lotsa water!!!! Get the Hose!!!

  • omigod u listen to all my favorite artists i was jammin to much like falling o.o

  • I'm a soprano and i find it more comfortable to sing higher, but now that I know chocolate cloggs your throat and makes it harder to sing i can understand why I cough quite a lot when warming up! Haha I eat too much chocolate so thankyou for the advice and I'll be drinking much more water from now on (:

  • Thanks for the help! Hope you had fun at the homecoming thing... :)

  • I'm i light soprano and I think that your advices are good ;D

I always drink a lot of water too, and after a concert I always need to go to the toilet xDDD

Stupid question: is the last song in the background "Scream" by Tokio Hotel? xD

  • my sister drinks more water then me and she cant sing at all. haha

  • I don't know HOW to sing high without my voice tensing up ): it just happens!

  • @sprylittlething That's because you're singing with your through. What you want to do is sing from your diaphram, plus it makes a nicer sound. To practise singing from your diaphram, just say TSSSS, and you should feel your stomach becomes very hard. You want to have this strong feeling in your stomach in order to sing from your diaphram.

  • wen she said phantom of the opera i was suprised because im singing a song from tht called wishing you were somehow here again and i love that show its ssssoooo romantic

  • Warm water and lemon juice clears your throat and give you a better sound also.

  • lol, whenever she said Mariah Carey, the Phantom Of the Opera, and evanescence, i pumped my fist in the air, because i have been singing along to those songs for 2 months now and they really have helped + evanescence is my absolute FAVORITE band and Phantom Of the Opera is my absolute FAVORITE movie!

  • Nice Video! Ur Hot! Rock It Pretty Girl

  • hahaaha nice video lolzz

  • i like the "yes, i know i sound stupid...shut up" caption lol. nice vid though

  • Michael Jackson + Adam Lambet = High Notes.

  • I drink A lot of water... is that why I sing high well?

  • Hey You Rock ...Thanks for the advice...

  • Darn it! I love chocolate and milk!

  • what if i sing with a high voice but i scream

  • @Jojo123hello I know how you feel, the only way i can sing with my head voice is to scream.Which isnt delightful at all

  • um, this may sound bad...but I don't like water o.O

  • @xobaby99 How can you hate water? You need water to live o.o

  • @samigrl1234 not only that, but most of our bodies are water haha

  • @samigrl1234 I actually know someone who despise water... like... she will avoid to drink water no matter what, unless if she really have to.

  • @samigrl1234

I used to hate water, too. It'd make me gag and throw up ..

I forced myself to drink it and now its fine.. But yes, I used to absolutely HATE water.

  • @777Kiana how do people not like water?! I drink water more than anything else? It doesn't even have a taste, so how can you hate it? it just seems like wet air or something..

  • @samigrl1234 Tastelessness?

I love water but i heard of people hating it.

  • @samigrl1234 UM HELLO??? DR.PEPPER!!!!

  • @samigrl1234 don't worry guys, beer contains water, you can drink it and live

  • @xobaby99

how do you not like water :S

    .. LOL

thats all i drink. I dont drink pop jucie or anything

  • @xobaby99 how do you not like waqter you need it to live

  • @xobaby99 who gives a shit

  • @xobaby99 water keeps you like alive, it keeps you healthy, try thinking about what king of drink you like and drink water it may taste like the drink you like.

  • @xobaby99 Try Flavored water!! :DD It may be water, and bad for you.. but drink it :D

  • @xobaby99 drink flavored water like propel or something

  • @xobaby99 well water doesnt like you back >.<

  • @xobaby99 because believe it or not most of our water is contaminated with chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride, investigate this an look at the component percentages what does 'F' stand for on bottled water... well it stands for fluoride... fluoride is the reason one should refrain from swallowing gum and toothpaste those things have a higher fluoride percentage, just get a charcoal filter... check it out, drink natural water not bttled, some bottled water is okay just check the label

  • @jack1anapes you have to have flouride in your diet for strong bones. its like iodine in salt. ALOT of flouride can be bad for you but a diet devoid of flouride is not healthy. Its an additive provided to keep you healthier. The best bottled water to drink is natural spring water or distilled water because "purified water" uses chemicals to kill out impurities whereas distillation uses evaporation to get rid of impurities.

  • hi.... when i sing it sounds like i need to clear my throat then i clear it and it sounds really scratchy, my friend said that my voice is changing but im not sure. is it normal or not?

  • thanks that helped me a lot

  • hi.. i watched this video many times.. and you're my idol.. you're one of the bests.. ^__^ ..hehehe... that's why i decided to have a you-tube account because of you :)

  • Don't lower your soft pallate either!!

    That's UBER important!

If you keep lots of space in the back of your mouth, then it's MUCH easier to get ANY notes out, and it sounds alot darker. It's pretty schweet. =)

  • hi there..well before i had a great voice range...i could reach the notes of the song "my heart will go on" from celine dion...well now since my baby bro was born i couldnt practice cuz i would wake up da baby -___- so yeah...whenn he was big enough i started to sing and i realized that i couldnt reach those high notes again..??? is there something i can do too get my voice back???

  • I LEARNED MORE FROM U IN 5 MINUTES THAN I DO WITH MY MUSIC TEACHER ; YOUKNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN THINGS BETTER SO THANKS

  • nice :D dident know much of that what songs did you use in the vid?

  • I'm dissapointed. You forgot to mention to drop your jaw. If you don't drop your jaw high notes won't go as high. They will probably stay in chest voice. DROP YOUR JAW.

  • Was That Tokio Hotel at the end?
