Wavedashing was not a glitch. However, with the directional airdogdge gone, wavedashing is gone as well. You can still technicall wavedash with gliding characters by gliding low to the ground and airdodging to cancel the lag of the glide.

it's already been confirmed that you can't use the wavedash because it was technically a glitch found in melee. so they fixed it. but i'm sure there will be other techniques

wasn't a glitch. Did u read the sakurai interview. Something about when you wavedash, it messes up the coordinates of ur character, so it will desynch an online game. But still, best technique in the game.

Look it up. Pokemon Trainer is a single character, in essence, who can change between three pokemon in battle (like Zelda to Shiek) and they all share the same damage.

From 0:30-0:33 you can see that charizard is dash dancing.

a 30, that looks like regular dashing, but at 25 there is a shorter dash into a shield. That is a bit deceptive.

The way they changed Air Dodges, there is no way that you can wave dash the same way, but I am curious if you can just cancel a dash quicker in this game.

From what appears selectable in the demo, Smashville appears to be the most similar to Final Destination in Melee, without any overt 'gimmicks' in the stage to hinder gameplay. I noticed they tried Bridge of Eldin once, but probably didn't like the charge of the lord on his steed upsetting play.
