My father says when he was in Cambo all the rice harvested have been sent to China. He also said Khmer people were stick-thin under KR as a result of most rice were sold to China for weapons and some cash, you should confirm with your uncles and aunts about this fact.

Russia also help in first aid and medical reasons. Can you explain more whether the Vietnamese troops brought people back to the cities or people were pushed from the countryside into the jungle with the KR. After the Khmer Rouge fell, Vietnam was very poor, but it still tried hard to send 100s of truck loads with food, medicine, etc. to help Cambodian people re-settle in the cities and rebuild the country.
