Nier was one of the most emotional games I've ever got to play and I trully loved it. The soundtracks were amazing, full of emotions and very deep. Your cover added a bit of joy to emils theme, which is pretty dramatic also. But I think yours fits better, since despite the tragic story of Emil, he was a character full of hope.
This song makes me think of emil trying to celebrate his birthday, but the residual sadness of the reality of his existence keeps him from being truly happy.
The tempo did seem a little fast at first, but it grew on me. Also the instrumentals remind me a lot of Ecco: The Tides of Time, one of my favorite Genesis games. Have you remixed/covered "The Ultimate Weapon"? That one is so underdone in the remixing community. D:

@Hissweeteartbug It is Nier Replicant (JPN Version), where you play the role of Yonah's big brother instead of her father. The story is relatively the same, so you are not missing out. From what I hear the father character fits the game better, anyway.
Yep, same game, different protagonist; the plot and everything is basically identical. Although, I like Replicant a lot better. I just like Nier's character better as the older brother. So I guess it just depends on one's personal taste. ^^;

@MaverickMeister Nice voice over. You sound exactly like him, like RIGHT on the dot. This is pretty damn good. You should do a voice over for "Growing Wings" for Drakengard even though that game is old.
Thank you! Yes, it took a little time to get the words down and sing them without making mistakes, but it almost seemed easier to sing more honestly in this language. The syllables are very poetic, don't you think? :)
