@Doubledee4812.. I dont think they are psychobilly, maybe it's just because they had such a huge impact with the blend of 50's and 60's trash rockabilly and what was popular at the time The Camps formed.. punk rock. They are in a class all there own in my opinion.

@50DesotoCoupe The Cramps really were the first to blend punk and Rockabilly (and were known to coin the term Psychobilly, borrowed from Johnny Cash's One Piece at a Time, but Lux never said he considered themselves psychobilly). They also paved the way for a lot of Goth type rock bands (which mostly suck). So calling them psychobilly isn't really that far off the mark, but I think the best way to go about it is to just call them The Cramps and those that don't know can just miss out.
