  • so did you have to raise your bed floor or notch that out to? i want to do the same setup on a 96 sierra reg can short wheelbase. what mods did you have to do to make the bed fit and can i make this work without body dropping

  • @prizonlizzard, I decided to notch it out. It was more convenient for me since it requires less fab. That's pretty much everything I had to do to make the bed fit, well almost everything, I also had to remove the front bed supports, the ones closed to the cab, they were on my way.

  • they put this in a bag!?!?!?

  • Hi..just like to say I've watched your video many times and can't wait to work on my on street scraper. I have a couple of questions. First being when you welded on the 4 link, how did you make sure both sides were equally spaced? In other words one side of the axle points inwards than the other. Also I am looking at a weld on 4 link from avs and theres is circular rather than a straight piece to weld to, is that were I weld? Forgive me if my questions seem rather less than intelligent lol

  • @fastjoon92 , Before u start tearing ur truck apart u have to take a lot of measurements. For instance, measure from the center of your axle(passenger & driver side) to a fixed point (of the frame) close to the cab, when u install your 4link, these measurements have to remain the same, that's how u know they are equally spaced. Send me the link which shows this 4link u want to purchase and we'll take a look at it. And remember: "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask".

  • u should make your own custom frame

  • nice craftsmanship, your obviously skilled in your trade!

  • @SSFTC, thank you ssftc. I am glad people like it and I hope it helps them in their own projects.

  • Can you side to side with a parallel? Or is it just up and down?

  • @4kaitlynmd, I can do side to side n up n down. I have not been able to do a 3 wheel tho.

  • @josegasca im considering a parallel but not to drop and drag, i want to do away with leafs and have better handling and suspension.

  • @josegasca Where did you get your kit at and how much did it run you? Im really considering it but i want it to do away with leafs. I hate them. Im going to do a parallel with the pan hard, but use air shocks to level out the five inch drop up front. Im a fan of bagged trucks, but right now ive got a 94 ford and i think it looks better with 15x10s and 295/50s

  • @4kaitlynmd, I bought all my stuff online. Go to suicide doors dot com they have everything u will need. I think I paid around $1000.00 for my kit. Those look awesome man, be sure to make and upload a vid for the entire community to see.

  • dude your shit is clean,, and i like the fact that u took the time and took pix of before and after of what u cut off and what u welded on.. this helps me alot to no how to bag a truck if i ever get one lol

  • @quintonboffy , yeah no problem. Happy to help. And I am sure you'll get a truck at some point. keep it up.

  • @draggngmac386 THANKS MAN

  • @Draggnmac386 thanks man:).. I will check that out too!

  • Alright.. Thanx man! I really appreciate your advice! I will try to do that soon..

  • This guy actually tajes his work seriously.. Tha welding is clean and the whole set up is just well done! I got a 04 silverado with the same set up and I wonder why when I'm driving or taking a corner my rear end kinda moves from left to right? I'm afraid of breaking my axle or mess up the sway bars

  • @PabloMillan09, I assume you have a panhard bar installed, just make sure that this bar is parallel to the axle at ride height. Not having your bar well positioned will cause your axle to lift off the ground when taking corners. I would also totally recommend that you install a watts link, this link is way better than a panhard bar(thus more expensive) but it's worth it.

  • @PabloMillan09 or it might be a bad bushing or a loose one...good luck

  • @Bdela14, First of all we all bought a vehicle and we all are actually driving the fucking thing as you put it, the only difference is that some of us are skilled workers such as welders and mechanics and this is just a way to make some extra cash which in my case is helping me get through college. Secondly, maybe u have issues with women(assuming u r a dude) which makes you think everybody else has issues as well. Anyway thank you for watching man!

  • hey you bunch of fuckwits. just buy a car and drive the fucking thing. get a life you wankers. fuck a chick instead of fucking up cars that are perfectly fine. turn your hat sideways and lay your seat back and pretend your cool.

  • @bdela14 your a fuckin dork

  • @bdela14 what a fag

  • Try going to suicide doors dot com, air bag it dot com, avs on the web dot com, they have a wide selection of air suspension components. All the components that you see in the video were bought online.

  • where do u buy all the stuff needed bags and ex

  • is it normal if your bearings get fucked up by hitting the switches cuz my truck rattles alot when i hit 45-55 now, from the driverside wheel?

  • @jebus073092, it is not normal. That could be a broken universal joint. Check both u joints. You might wanna also check you bearings. I had the same problem, my truck also rattled from the rear driver side wheel. One day the wheel wouldn't even turn! It stopped doing it so I stopped paying attention to it. If you find the problem please let me know.

  • @josegasca well actually up to like last week my truck stopped for no reason either it doesnt do it nomore.. i have no idea why that happened but i am very curious

  • @jebus073092, I'll definitely try to solve this issue asap. If I do I'll let you know too.

  • A tri-angulated 4-link would also solve the arch motion of a panhard, right?

  • @mae951, Yes sir! In fact, I'll be replacing my 4 link for a triangulated link soon.

  • If that rear track bar shown at 1:44 pivots in a circular motion, an arc. Then as it pivots up and down doesn't it pull the axle towards the drivers side? I mean an arc like this: pivot point--------> < ) makes sense that it pulls to the left as it goes up and down unless the bar lengthens?

  • @ajohnson, you're totally right. I've noticed that one of my rear tires undergoes more friction than the other which could be caused by what you're pointing out. I think a watts link would totally solve this.

  • How much $ will you spend on a nice air suspension kit ?

  • @EliteSnakes, like the one show, around $1500 and some others go up to $4000.

  • Nice Job man. Great install pics too. THanks. Subscribed.

  • 1:06 the welds on the front link look clean

  • @toyota25904, Hey thanks bro, I think every single welder wants pretty looking welds.

  • nice parallel 4 link! i;m geting ready to throw one on my dakota but i;m doing reverse parallel 4 link and instead of the pan hard bar i;m going to do a watts link. with the watts link there is ZERO lateral movement. the pan hard bars function actually travels in an arch motion thus there is lateral movement. but this is a great video that shows what the process is.

  • Silverado?

  • GMC Sierra 1500 reg cab actually, but as you know they are pretty much the same.

  • Yeah this parallel 4 link is good but not perfect. Those watts links are way better than a panhard bar and I totally agree with you on the "zero lateral movement" Next project I will use a wishbone kit because with the parallel 4 link kit I had to do a lot of modifications and fabrication to the bed. But it turned out ok. Good luck with your project.

  • No offense but you might wanna get rid of that pan hard man. I'm goin with a triangulated 4 link. You could do that with your upper bars though to avoid the kick, no offense. Other than that looks good bro. I'm building the four link for my full size chevy short bed.

  • Yeah, maybe I will someday. I'll tell you the quality of the ride is not so bad but I also think it can be improved. Thank you for your feedback.

  • very nice truck, what kind of valve?

  • How tall are those C-notchs?

    Will that truck lay frame?

  • These notches will give you a 10" cleareance. And yes they will lay your frame on the ground.

  • not giving you shit just been threw it, your rear's going to kick like a son of a bitch with that panhard setup, your going to wana do something on an angle to avoid this.

  • Thank you for your feedback. It'll help me improve my setup.

  • do i need a panhard bar to run a paralel 4-link in a mazda

  • nice welds VERY GOOD TRUCK!!!
