I love this design; I see the Intrepid being the new work horse of the fleet replacing 80% of the ships backed by this ship as a heavy crusier to replace the Korolev, Ambassador, Rigel, New Orleans and If (and this is a bi IF) the old banger that is the Excelsior is still in use but I only want to see an Excelsior if its a personal ship of a senior admiral! Even the Galaxy and Nebular class starships are looking out of date by Next Gen standards!

I think this is a logical (sorry) and beautiful successor to the E. The D was primarily an explorer with family facilities. The E was primarily a warship, more power and extremely narrow profile. It seems reasonable that "future" explorers would combine the advantages of the E spaceframe with those of the D spaceframe to allow them to hang in firefights longer and to be smaller targets, but still have more resources committed to pure research and possibly even families again.

Did a bit or research according to the non-cannon it was the first in a line of Allegiance class starships, the most famous was the uss Odyssey:

32 decks.

Crew of 450 (65 officers, 385 enlisted).

Maximum evacuation capacity is 4500.

Cruising speed of warp 6.

Maximum speed is warp 9.6 (for 12 hours).

Emergency speed is warp 9.885.

They do not typically have civillian families on board.

The Odyssey was equipped with a Romulan cloaking device and a prototype quantum slipstream drive.

Cool video. Interesting that they put together various ships to make a whole new class, essentially. It has elements of Galaxy class (the saucer), but the whole "neck" connecting the secondary hull is too short for Galaxy. The nacelles look a little more Ambassador class to me. But it's elongated which is more like the Sovereign class 1701-E. Very interesting conglomeration. I'm trying to figure out where the Trill female at 0:47 or so is from. Anyway, neat video, thanks for sharing!

I think its the titan class.......not to be confused with the luna class which has a ship called titan commaded by Will Riker....but it was supposed to be a mix up of galaxy and sovereign classes....and i think it is a great looking ship....and an awesome vid 5/5

This one seems to have the nacelles of a Galaxy class, yet the saucer section & pylons are very Sovereign. So to answer the question, it seems to be a frankenstein of both for this CGI ship. Engineering section isn't Galaxy-class. The neck section is too long, the warp engine pylons aren't the same, the warp engines themselves are too pointed, and the design is different. The end of the section is too pointed.

It's literally a mix of Galaxy-class and Sovereign-class.
