The law was only to the Israelites? Why does the Bible say All have sinned in Rom 5:23 and elsewhere? Does God say all are guilty but only give the law to a few Israelites? If stealing, lying, killing are ok for non-Israelites, then God is being unfair. The Sabbath seems to be the only problem. It was given in Gen 2 before the Israelites. I agree that the Law will not justify anyone. Rom 1:17 The just shall live by faith. However, the proper use of the law is in Gal 3:24-25 - the law brings us under conviction to seek Christ that we might be justified by faith. After we are convicted and justified we leave our horrible sins and we then are not breaking the law continually. But God does not change Mal 3:6. God changes us to follow Him. The Sabbath was God's first gift to all sons of Adam in Gen 2. This is before the 10 commands.

America celebrates different, on Sunday, b/c our culture & calendar is different. That's all. This passage is popular quote to prove we, true believers, MUST worship on Sabbath. Jesus said HE is the sabbath. "Man" in OT term often meant the Jews who believe Abraham, Issac, & Jacob's GOD! Moses is the PROPHET who God command JEWISH men to respect SABBATH! (4th commandment) Do you believe we MUST follow all ten commandments to be saved? NO. Just simple FAITH on Jesus who took Law to himself!

Hello, I just wanted to comment that Sabbath was Friday night/Saturday to Jewish because of their culture, their calendar. America celebrates different, on Sunday, b/c our culture & calendar is different. That's all. I believe most important is to celebrate Sabbath, focus on the Lord, rest, etc. You know that Pastors must celebrate Sabbath different day. Why? Because Sunday is work for ministers (that's me!) Everyone is different. Important=follow Jesus. =)

4th command.= Sabbath=7th day- only. However, also other days that's also sabbath days: Passover, Pentocost, and other special days God had set up in Moses' law. Those days are for nation of Israel- Jews & converted Gentiles! (Coverted gentiles must be circumised when join with Israel! Right?) We are not of Israel since Israel as a nation rejected Jesus as their Messiah. I gave an example- read Acts 15 & Rom. 9- See what James announced for the Gentiles & Paul regard Israel. Bless reading!

Better read what Paul wrote in Galatians chapter 3 esp verse 29.
If you belong to Christ then you are a son of Abraham and are a heir according to the promise.
Only Jews will be saved, that is Spiritual Jews not Jews of the flesh.
The church is Israel in New Testament context.

kingormond - Read Gal 1:9, "...if any man preach any OTHER GOSPEL unto you...him be accrued." Whoa! If you tell people the different message of salvation then this person is cursed. I preach only the death, burial, and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ --who is a propitiation for us, sinners, read Romans 3:23-26. Praise Jesus for his sacrifice to let me into God's presence! Mormon teachs Jesus' blood is not enough so people need to do something to earn salvation.

anquscen - again in Matt 5, Jesus was only obeying as true servant of God. If he did not obey one law, then he and us are same -- Sinners! But praise Him! He committed no sins and took law to himself -- His death for us. Again, first four law = Love God/Jesus. Last 6 law = Love people. Simple if you trust Jesus as savior then all you do is love others as yourself. No need to worry over sabbath issue which Jesus took care of it. He is God himself. Right? Paul talked about this in Galatians. READ.

Jesus said if you want to enter eternal life keep the commandments. When asked what he meant by commandments Jesus started to quote the second tablet of the 10 commandments.

anquscen - Read Ex. 20:2 & Deut. 5:6 refer to Israel that God spoke concerning God's Law. The Israel Nation itself bore the burden to enforce all Israel "citizen" so sabbath is one of many laws of Moses' books. If one who is not Jew (Gentile) then he must convert to the Jewish customs of doing things for example circumises all males when they join Jewish religion. Read Acts 15 that James made announcement that all gentiles who received word (salvation) only need to do 4 things and they do well!

Read Revelation 14:6 to 12. Read the first angel's message. It is a call to worship the creator who made the heavens and the earth and the seas. Which is a direct quote from the fourth commandment.
The 10 commandments apply to Christians. Paul said does grace get rid of the law? God forbid. Should we sin so grace abounds? God forbid.
The 10 commandments are for everybody, it is not a Jewish law. Jesus died for everybody not just the Jews. The fact that had to die proves the law is eternal.

Sabbath Day = Holy rest every 7 days but one religion (like Baptist are one our brother and Sister in members). Jesus decided Sunday. Jewish (like Mose) decided Saturday. don't mix, and don't argue other religions Sabbath Day design any date, most 7 days week Bible said.

You are following the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. There is no direct command from God or Jesus that says the Sabbath day was changed.
Moses didn't pick Saturday for the Sabbath. Where is your proof?
God said the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week which is Saturday.
Cain decided it didn't matter what he could offer to God. God rejected Cain he got angry and murdered his brother.

@deaflbc2005 Roman invented the "Sunday" Sabbath. It was the Roman day of "Sol Invictus". This later became "Catholic". That is why it is the mark of the beast.

So Ten commandments? but don't forget if Jesus (or friend human, gentiles, any rightous man) say "you love me?" at first! if yes and I love you and friends THEN obey Ten commandments but wait min AND share gospel and help poor people.. ok? right?
so IF "NO you love me"? or hyperocrite, or means, etc that NOT need 10 Commandments but other special evil (demon) angles OR follow Jesus pray yourself!. Amen!

If the Ten Commandments belonged to the Jews and the Jews alone, then it should be alright to kill, steal, lie and rape all I want. Read the Bible more carefully.
Matthew 5:17 says
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." Jesus said this very thing. One law, one nation, no partiality. The Ten commandments was NOT for the Jews alone.
