well ruudgeboers, I thought the same thing till I noticed the dent in the green (uphill) that was directly between him and the hole. Watch it again and if you pay attention, you will see it. If you combine a tricky level change in the green with fast greens, then a flop shot is a more suitable shot (if you have it in your arsenal). Obviously, this guy, has it in his.

b/c he had no other choice u knob!! the pin was tucked back right behind a ledge w/ a huge right to left sloping green....if he wanted to get it within 10 feet he had no choice but to flop it, instead he flopped it and holed it.....learn a little about golf at the upper level before u comment on it...sorry, this had to be said even a year later..
