  • I love Noam but he's dead wrong. There were no rockets launched by hamas but there were thousands launched by their "unofficial" associates. Sorry, Noam. In all his speeches, in all his writings... Noam NEVER criticizes islam (i.e. pig FILTH).

  • Who was that douche at the end?

  • I don't think you made a rational point. Nobody's saying "give the arabs what they want". They're saying "stop ruining poor brown peoples' material, social, emotional and psychological lives, and maybe everone'll be better off."

Hm, Chomsky's gay? How'd you find that out? Cool, gay rights, another noble cause for him to advocate for.

Also, what's with your obsession with/severe insecurity about homosexuality? If you're truly gay, there are healthier ways to bring it up in conversation, ya know?

  • I wish the moderator hadnt cut that exchange off. Chomsky seemed up for it.

  • who's the clown at the end? would have loved to see NC destroy him.

  • why do they let this poor man stand up for his hour long talk...noam is over 80 years old.. s-one hand the fella a chair

  • I would love to see Chomskyan live under Arab Islamic Sharia Law

  • @NiteAngel - "I would love to see Chomskyan live under Arab Islamic Sharia Law"

What does that have to do with anything?

How does wanting to end a 40+ year military occupation lead to support for sharia law as you seem to imply?

By the same token one could say, "I would love to see NiteAngel live under a brutal and humiliating military occupation", no?

  • @NiteAngel

"I would love to see Chomskyan live under Arab Islamic Sharia Law"

Well then, you're an asshole. Do you have a point?

  • he's a rockstar

  • Agreed, Wasted, he even made a comment in a somber tone about not having any hostile questions,

    love this guy

  • @Santi2c

Yeah, what was up with the moderator abruptly cutting Mr. Chomsky off from finishing the discussion. Very rude.

  • @WilhelmDrake The guy interrupting was a Brandeis professor and after he couldn't answer Chomsky's reply he started speaking to the audience and asking them to stay after the event so he can present the other side. Since the event was over the allotted time the moderator ended it.

  • Does anyone get the feeling that Noam was up for a bit of a debate at the end there? Maybe he likes a bit of verbal sparring now and again.

  • @WastedTourist You mean he likes bag punching every once in a while? Yeah, I can see that.

  • @WastedTourist I've had the great fortune of seeing/hearing him speak 4 times in person and when he's challenged is when he shines the most. This brilliant man wouldn't speak about something unless he is completely knowledgeable on the issue. His total recall of details is astounding. He is beautiful when challenged.

  • I would love to see him on a main stream media outlet just once. Maybe the CFR propaganda hour, I mean fareed zakaria gps...I won't hold my breathe.

  • Sharp as ever. Long may he continue telling the truth.

  • I love Noam, and I'm sure millions of others do to. I hope he's aware.

  • @WastedTourist I let him know by mail, and he responded back. I asked a few questions in return as well, he kindly answered them. Few reckognized people would take the time i think.

  • @WastedTourist I love Noam too. I don't want to meet him though as i know i would try to hug him and scare the life out of him.
