Dommy, the Federation also used indescriminate use of nuclear devices during the One Week War and Loum, one of the main reasons that there was so many casualties on both sides is because they both used nukes. In fact, it was mostly the Feddies fault that Loum was destroyed because they decided it was better to destroy the colonies than to have them used as weapons against earth.

The Federation had actually forced most of its incredible population into the colonies in space. Naturally these people who were forced out of their homes were no longer friends of the Federation. They taught their children their hatred, Zeon Daikum was only a catalyst to the inevitable, and Degin Zabi used the people's fanaticism for his rise to power. Also ur comment on the titans falls flat considering the fact that when the Federation finds out about the Titans crimes, when its brodcasted right in front of them, they quickly disassociate themselves from them. Also the AEUG is showed to be staffed by mostly ex EFF soldiers, so it can safe to agree that a lot of EFF soldiers do not agree with the Titans' actions. Actually the Zeons gassed the colonies they dropped. Killing millions. Then dropped it on the Earth. Not just killing people where it impacted, but caused climactic changes, such as tropical storms that killed even more people. And the Zeon's colony laser likely took a long time to design. Where as the Fed's was just a lot of mirros. So who used it first isn't a big deal.

As for the AEUG. It was funded by AE. But the large majority were Federal Forces who were angry about what the Titans did.

In the opening sequence to Mobile suit Gundam,when the colony drop is shown,the announcer says atrocities had been committed by both sides, The Federation was more than willing to use nuclear weapons and nerve gas. But it wasn't until the colony drop that they went to the bargaining table and signed the antarctic accords. The Titans had the nasty intent to kill like Gihren. the only thing that stopped them was AUEG, and Axis. I believe intent is just as damning as action.

He also mentions tht people are horrified by the atrocities committed IN THE NAME OF INDEPENDENCE. Tell me, which faction claims to be fighting for independence. But then Revil escaped and revealed that the Zeeks weren't as strong as they'd let on, they'd wasted a lot of resources and most of their experienced pilots on their attempt at a quick victory at Loum in order to bluff the Federation and prevent a drawn out war that they didn't have the resources to win.
