it was recorded with the metronome and him playing at this speed because in the original mario medley when he played this song everyone thought he just sped the video up to make it seem fast, so he made this video as proof it wasn't

looks like it is cleverly fastforwarded, it only shows in the pianokeys themselves, no key can come up as fast as they do. And the higher pitch thing, no, you can actually speed sound up without having the pitch change

it is sped up, the video is played in double time to match the tempo originally set before he begins. Slow it down and watch at what speed he really played it. Sounds better, clearer, and more realistic.

yeah w3sp does it so much better. not only he plays it fast and clean, he plays it in a way harder key. he plays it the key a half step higher with all the sharps and black keys and he plays it just about that fast (maybe a bit slower cuz that was too fast) and he played it almost perfect. w3sp is better than this guy. w3sp deserves to be the one performing everywhere, not him.

well this is amazing! but dont forget he is classically trained... and grades dont really mean a lot, anyone could learn grade 8 stuff if they took long enough on it.

Okay, firstly this tune is particularly hard to play, the real speed is around 140 and this was 250 or so. This guy is incredible. I can play most of the tune at around 60 lol :P and my brother and I once tried to learn it more and we were at about 120 but we stopped learning it.
