  • The best of "Hail to the thief"

  • @Xtremenemesis totally

  • before i truly knew who pink floyd was i could tell when i was hearing them even if it was a song i had nvr heard before, simply cuz their voice is modified in half their work to sound a certain way, EVEN when they had different ppl singing i could identify them as FLOYD cuz their voice would sound a certain way...almost like hearing a certain instrument uncomparable to the rest. i DOUBT using ur voice as an "instrument" is a Radiohead creation...i think it's a rather COMMON idea...

  • @Thanksandy You hear him plenty on those albums. Optimistic is as straightforward as anything on OKC or The Bends. How to Disappear Completely, I Might Be Wrong, Whose Army?, Glass House start slow but climax beautifully. Then there's Knives Out, Pyramid Song, Dollars&Cents, Idioteque, Right Place, Morning Bell, Motion Picture...unconventional, but definitely not mumbling. Inasmuch as there is mumbling, there's just as much on HTTT, and it's damn good mumbling. Maybe you had shit speakers.

  • @imissthelikebutton I'd have to agree with everything you said. As well I'd like to mention that I remember reading somewhere that Thom's sometimes odd singing on Kid A and Amnesiac is a result of an idea he was exploring on those albums; the voice as an instrument, not just a means of communicating lyrics. Optimistic, Morning Bell, Knives Out, I Might Be Wrong, You and Whose Army?, and Motion Picture Soundtrack are some of my favorite Radiohead songs; both albums are beautiful.

  • @Jimhupponeword Yeah, experimentation with the voice as an instrument is especially evident on the first three tracks of Kid A. I think it's done well, but understandably, some prefer to hear Thom's voice unprocessed and unmuddied, to whom I recommend checking out their more energetic live performances. I especially like "In Limbo", where Jonny adds some cool guitar licks and Phil's drumming makes the coda even more awesome. The piano rendition of "Like Spinning Plates" is great, too.

  • @imissthelikebutton Ahhhh "Like Spinning Plates" on piano is absolutely gorgeous.

  • 4 people must've had a spastic episode trying to click 'Like'

  • @johny5times that's my thinking!

  • i wish they still played this, it's a beautiful song and so underrated.

  • I try to find Scatterbrain's "Scamboogery" and what do I get instead? These indie morons with the catatonic singer who resembles Dave Mustaine after a failed acid trip.

  • @FedorEight fuck off

  • @FedorEight Are we supposed to feel sorry for you because you don't know how to work a search engine? I don't think so....tard.

  • hahaha you gotta love how he dances!

  • oww radiohead just like the doors at new millenium

  • no. they are definitely not "the doors" of the new millennium. stupid....

  • les gens qui parlent pendant un morceau je les flinguerai bien tous

  • one of Radiohead's best underrated song

    it's just amazing

  • @Thanksandy Some of their best songs are on Kid A and Amnesiac....so your loss. Then again, my list of "Radionhead's best songs" is pretty damn long XD

  • @Jimhupponeword well you are right there, it is my loss... of the will to live after listening to some of that stuff:) Each to their own, but I do own all their other albums apart from those two, I consider myself a fan, but of their heavier/indie rock/straight forward music or the songs you hear Thom Yorke actually SINGING rather than mumbling in i.e. Karma Police, The Tourist, Street Spirit...classics

  • @chalintintin radiohead has no underrated/overrated songs. They're just Radiohead. they're not even a good or bad band, they're fucking radiohead

  • man that is so solid !!!!!! but fragile ......i love it, i havent fallen in love with a tune so quick in years !!!! i cant even work out what hes saying kinda dont matter either i got the title lol

  • I'm walking out in a force ten gale. Birds thrown around, bullets for hail. The roof is pulling off by its fingernails. Your voice is rapping on my window sill. Yesterday's headlines blown by the wind. Yesterday's people end up scatterbrain. Then any fool can easy pick a hole. (I only wish I could fall in) A moving target in a firing range. Somewhere I'm not. Scatterbrain!
