  • You put wah-wah on your bass drum?

  • Tune your bass raaaaaaaawr down it's not a tom

  • @WeConqueredTheSun But what if you could play your bass like toms? Look at my latest videos.Who said that they are only bass drums?

  • @thetokerhasrisen

Have you seen all of my double bass videos, or just this one?

  • $700 dollars later and you get this

  • I could easily play that bass beat with one foot. Why does everybody play some easy beat in all the videos demonstrating this technique. That just eats out the meaning of the tutorial.

  • @elmsghijkaser And open the and close the hi-hat at the same time?

  • @elmsghijkaser YOU WANT SOMETHING FAST ??

    watch?v=ArbdU9I2Zwc

  • Really cool shoes, guy!!!

  • i hear flanger in those beats

  • @brdane YEP

  • No offence meant, but in my humble opinion that is tapping, not playing. Give the beater some room to move that way you'll get much more power out of the stroke! = )

  • @0bz3n only meant to show the technique.

  • awsome skills man

  • is there reverb effects on the bass drum..?

  • @niceshades3800 No but a FLANGE effect.

  • like no ones ever tryed that

  • nice man

  • its a different model altogether the mallet tips are double mounted in a horizontal fashon for adjusting how close they are to the drum

  • dude, you neeed to tighten your bass drum and put a pillow in it or summin

  • Took me like 3 views to figure out what you were doing lol.

  • yep!

  • i can, that or a flanger.

  • is it just me or is that bass drum HUGE? also it sounds like there is a phaser in the background haha

  • ok i dont know if its just me but the bass drum looks like a big box from the angle of the camera

  • where is the difference between black axis and silver axis ??

  • Only the color, as far as I know?

  • the color nothin to do about preformance but the black ones costs 30 $ more ;)

  • there is no difference in the colors its purely a personal choice. The pedals are identical otherwise.

  • Black scrathes easy

  • @ekeltion the black one's make you go faster, its the chemicals in the paint

  • @ekeltion FASTER!!!!! LOL JK

  • @TheRev182

Much faster if you go to my hyperfunk videos at youtube!

  • i been doin this for years

  • so have I

  • @VegaWgn I have been doing this for decades.

  • @entrailsgalore

Any video to show us your technique?

  • @techristian I was mocking vegawgn. I may have some videos up sometime soon though.

  • kinda like what dennis chambers does on his solos.

  • I use this technique as well

  • No offense but what are you trying to play?

  • Nothing, I'm just showing the technique slowly. Check out my HYPERFUNK video here at youtube to see how fast you can get with this technique.

    Dan

  • Oh, ok I will. thanks

  • He is showing how you can use your left foot to control both the hi-hat and left kick pedal, while playing a pattern with your right foot. It is a good technique which can be used for a lot of things like blasting.

  • its easier if ur heel is on the hi-hat for me...

  • Yes . I have heard that a few drummers do it that way. Check out my HYPERFUNK video here at youtube to see how fast you can get with this technique.

    Dan

  • This is slowed down for teaching purpose. Check my Hyperfunk video here at youtube for a real world application.

  • Nicely done ^^

  • For all concerned about the bass drum sound....

I now have an Aquarian Super Kick II head. My new videos will have the Aquarian sound.

    Dan

  • i like it ;-)

  • seems like it would be easier barefoot... ya know... with the help of your toes, 'n stuff

  • But those metal pedals are very COLD!

    DAN

  • ugh i hate axis pedals

  • ya, im obsessed with learning things my friends cant play, so i started doing stuff like this a few weeks ago, but your much better.

    props.

  • that can't feel good after a while

  • The technique in this video is over exaggerated for purpose of illustration. You won't need to bend your ankle that much for the technique.

  • Great technique, it's not easy!

  • sweet are they any good?

  • AXIS X2

  • Carter B. from the DMB has been doing this for years. "Under the Table and Drumming" great video of his. He does it really well. Check it out.

  • haha thats cool... ive tried something like that except i used my left heal to play hi hat and the ball of my foot to play bass drum

  • kinda funny, i dont see how someone would use that in music. ive tried that b4 but just messing around.

  • The whole thing is that many drummers sacrifice hi-hat control when they go to double bass. With this technique you can have both, double bass and hi-hat. With FUNK, hi-hat is essential and with double bass down below the funk you can do GHOST notes with your feet as well.

    Dan

  • i dont think i can see someone doing that loud and clean though.

  • listen to lets get this party started by korn, david silveria does a sweet double bass pattern and has hi hat splashes in the middle of it, its actually a really cool technique to have in your bag of tricks.

  • yea but are u sure he is using this technique or just simply changing over. too my knowledge he doesnt use this technique.

  • yeah, what up with that?!

  • what if we only have two feet, i can't afford a third one yet, im such a freak!

  • dw! sucks eliminator and axis is mucj more better

  • YEAH!!!!

  • It is a ROCKING motion between the left heel and toe.

    Dan

  • hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey i can do that :P :D

  • amazingly cool

  • i can do that!

  • ...

  • nice axis longboards?

  • i dont like the sound of that bassdrum but sweet!

  • Is that a drum?

  • I'm too busy with the day gig ,right now, to play but I hope to start back at it again very soon.

    Dan

  • how do you do opening and closing of hi hat really quickly while you do double bass I've never understood that.

  • nice man...hey who do u play for just out of curiousty. Nice to see a good man of god which i hope u are
